Mary of Wisconsin female fronted metal band, Luna Mortis, issues the following update:
"If you've seen our studio footage from February, you know there's more coming...we've been down here a couple of weeks at Audiohammer studios finishing up our album and here's the first studio video blog from our September sessions for you to check out!"
Wisconsin based metal band, LUNA MORTIS, are set to return to Audiohammer Studios, FL on Sept. 1st to finish recording their debut Century Media offering. Producer Jason Suecof (All That Remains, Trivium) will be at the helm for the record.
This will be the band's second trip to Audiohammer this year as LUNA MORTIS spent time recording with Suecof in February of '08; laying down tracks originally conceived for a demo. The tracks are unreleased with the exception of one song, "Ruin," that has been uploaded to the band's MySpace page and will become a part of their new album. More...
Wisconsin based female fronted metallers, Luna Mortis (formerly know as The Ottoman Empire), have signed a deal with Century Media Records. Vocalist Mary Zimmer comments:

Wisconsin based female fronted metal band, The Ottoman Empire, have issued the following update regarding their decision to change their name to Luna Mortis:
"Well, I'm sure you've all noticed, that we've undergone a name change! We have changed our name from 'The Ottoman Empire' to 'Luna Mortis.'"
"To keep a very long story short, we had a number of reasons to make the change and they are quite honestly, too many to list. Ultimately, it was a long, hard decision but a change we all felt was necessary to make."
