IWrestledABearOnce Working On New Album

IWrestledABearOnce has built itself a studio to being recording a new album. The band members will be handling the production duties themselves and have already kicked off drum tracking for the album. Assisting in the production and also mixing the LP will be Ryan Boesch (Foo Fighters, Melvins, Andrew WK). The band has also launched a Tumblr account to document the experience at this location.

Guitarist Steven Bradley had the following to say: "Well it's been exactly two years since we were in the studio recording 'It's All Happening' and.. well... a shit ton has happened! We have made more friends/fans than I ever thought possible and seen the world in the process! And now, after two years of almost non-stop traveling, we have spent the past few weeks writing and are ready to begin tracking our second full length! This time around, we decided to just buy some new recording gear and I will be producing/engineering/mixing the album with some help from our 'sixth Beatle' and co-producer on the last album Ryan Boesch. If you liked our first EP and 'It's All Happening', then chances are you will enjoy this album too. We try to continuously evolve and push the envelope further in every direction, but we definitely still sound like us. Thanks for the support over the past few years and we're beyond stoked to see you back on tour in 2011 with some new songs in our set!"

Metal Bits

Sometimes there are interesting bits in the metal world that aren’t exactly newsworthy on their own, might not qualify as “just for fun,” or might even be too old to warrant a new post of its own. So here’s a round-up of some interesting metal bits around the ‘net this week:

Episode 3 of "Shit Phil Says” is now up on Metal Injection.

Abigail Williams members lob a dildo at IWrestledABearOnce via Metal Sucks.

An acoustic "Radio Disney Version" of Slayer's "Raining Blood" has been making rounds online:

And from the same video author I discovered a fake Rammstein cover of "99 Luftballons" (Nena Cover):

Don't miss our own Top Ten Halloween Metal Songs list from Dan of Autumns Eyes.

And worth re-linking here, is "Another 'Hardcore Dancing How-To' Video" that Metal Injection uncovered.

So pull out those drum pads and warm up your vocal chords, because it's time to convince your neighbors hell has spilled onto Earth with live versions of Emperor's "Curse You All Men!" and "Inno a Satana" (although I can't imagine the bass player will be doing much).
