IWrestledABearOnce Streaming New Song
In anticipation of forthcoming album, "Late For Nothing," IWrestledABearOnce has debuted the first new song, “Thunder Chunky,” today at ArtistDirect.com. Check it out here or in the player below.
The band’s third studio album will be released on August 6th via Century Media Records. “Thunder Chunky” is IWABO’s first released song with new queen of scream Courtney LaPlante, who joined the band last summer during the Vans Warped Tour.
"Thunder Chunky is the first track on Late For Nothing and also serves as the perfect bridge between our last album and this one,” says guitarist/programmer Steven Bradley. “It combines a lot of different heavier styles, but always finds its way back to the chorus melody that creeps in during the song's intro. It's also a great way for people to hear Courtney for the first time, since it shows off a lot of her amazing vocal range in both the singing and screaming departments. We hope that everybody enjoys it, and we can't wait to show you even more songs off of our most diverse album to date!" More...
IWrestledABearOnce Reveals New Album Details
IWrestledABearOnce will release third studio album, "Late For Nothing," on August 6th via Century Media Records.
"Late For Nothing" was self-produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by guitarist/programmer Steven Bradley at the band’s home studio in Los Angeles. It also marks IWABO’s first record with fiery new singer Courtney LaPlante, who joined the band with only a day’s notice during last summer’s Vans Warped Tour.
Newly recharged with the addition of LaPlante, Bradley and cohorts John Ganey (guitar/programming), Mike “Rickshaw” Martin (bass) and Mikey Montgomery (drums) are set to keep their fans guessing with "Late For Nothing."
"The entire album came together as a result of us wanting to do something different," affirms Bradley. "We didn't want to make another weird IWABO album or whatever people were expecting. We set out to make something different and better than anything we've ever released. It's a more evolved version of the band. We explored new styles and genres as well—especially in terms of the more spacey, epic, and beautiful parts. It's got the most melodic moments of our career as well as the heaviest." More...

IWrestledABearOnce Working On New Album
IWrestledABearOnce has announced the band is almost finished with tracking a forthcoming third studio album, which is due out later this year.
“Well damn! After another two years of non-stop touring, some unexpected twists, and getting to visit some new and amazing places, we're finally back in the studio working on full length number three!,” says guitarist/programmer Steven Bradley. “I've 100% NEVER been this excited about an IWABO album, because it feels like we've finally reigned in "our sound" even further and really hit a stride in terms of songwriting. We've always admired bands like Deftones, Cynic, Thrice, Glassjaw, Mr. Bungle, Dredg, Cephalic Carnage, The Mars Volta, etc because they've never made the same album twice, and aren't scared to keep evolving while still maintaining their signature styles. Obviously I'd never compare us to the greatness of those bands, but, in keeping with that mentality, we've progressed a bit more and put together our best collection of songs so far.
Bradley, who is producing, engineering, mixing and mastering the album himself adds, “the heavy parts are heavier and more interesting, the choruses are stronger, and the 'weird twists' that people have come to expect in our music are way more thought-out than in the past and definitely hit harder than ever. Long story short - we're very excited about getting this album finished and released, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Thanks for listening, and keep in touch with us on our facebook/twitter/etc where we will be posting frequent updates!”
IWABO’s upcoming album will also be the debut of the band’s new scream/sing queen Courtney LaPlante, who joined the band with only a 24 hour notice in between shows on a run with the Warped Tour in 2012.
“Since the day I joined this band, I've been anticipating this album!” says LaPlante. “I was pushed to the limit creatively and technically, and I've never been more proud of myself or my bandmates. We've been through alot this year, and this is the pay-off; the result of our experiences. Most importantly, I think IWABO fans both old and new will really enjoy these songs, and we can't wait to play them live for you this summer!”
AllStars 2013 Lineup Announced
The third annual installment of the AllStars Tour is taking shape for this summer, and Buffalo's Every Time I Die will be this year's headliner (the abnd's final run in support of the "Ex Lives" album).
The tour will also feature Chelsea Grin, Veil of Maya, Terror, Stray From The Path, Capture The Crown, IwrestledABearOnce, For All Those Sleeping, and DayShell. Structures, Volumes, and other bands TBA will also be performing in select markets.
Every Time I Die's Keith Buckley (vocals) states: “We've always put a lot of effort into making this band work and when we perform we do so at the highest level of intensity, so to finally be deemed an 'AllStar' is a dream come true. I plan on relaxing in a hot tub with Wade Boggs or smoking huge cigars with Ronnie Harmon talking about our visits to Hollywood. Those are just some casual things us AllStars do when we're not giving 110%. But that's rare. This tour has a solid line-up and we're excited to be a part of it. See you all this summer.”
Stay tuned to the tour's Facebook profile for more updates. More...

Oceano Comments On Upcoming Tour Dates
Chicago deathcore act Oceano is gearing up for a European tour with Louisiana metallers IWrestledABearOnce. The "Ruining Earth For Everybody" tour kicks off this Friday, September 7th in Karlsruhe, Germany, and also features Vanna and For All Those Sleeping. The tour will be Oceano's second ever visit to Europe. Oceano frontman Adam Warren comments:
"Almost a month following our 'comeback', we got an amazing call. It was the offer for Oceano to tour with IWABO. Of course, we immediately said yes, still not knowing we'd be graced with doing TWO back-to-back tours in two months with them. Upon finding this out, we all simultaneously vomited and shit our pants in pure excitement! It was a full body explosion from almost every orifice.
"Aside from my gratuitous bodily fluid references, I (along with the other members of Oceano) have loved the IWABO folks since we first met and toured with them oh so long ago on our first European tour (Never Say Die). A solid mutual respect and friendship was formed and we are really excited to be reunited with plenty of time to get stupid with each other.
"We were also very stoked to find out our very close partners in PARTY and friends, Within The Ruins will be joining us on the US side of touring with IWABO. This is going to be a long but unforgettable fun couple of months for everyone! See you all soon!"

IWrestledABearOnce Announces Fill-In Vocalist
IWrestledABearOnce is on the full Vans Warped Tour this summer performing on the Ernie Ball Stage. Fans attending the festival will notice something unfamiliar on stage: the band performing with a different vocalist. To cast all rumors and speculation aside, guitarist Steven Bradley has issued the following statement:
"So here it is... complete transparency. A press release written by me (Steven, original IWABO guitarist) with the truth on what's going down.
"The day before our Warped Tour show in Dallas, TX we had a day off in the DFW area. Krysta lives there now, so she went home to relax and do some laundry. The next day, we received word from her minutes before our set that she discovered she and her fiancé are expecting a kid and she would not be returning to finish Warped Tour with us. Obviously this is an insane curveball for everybody, but in typical IWABO fashion we will press on. And no matter what happens, Krysta has been our best friend for years and we want her to be happy.
"So what the fuck is the plan then, you ask? Well on literally a few minutes notice, our friend Courtney LaPlante flew her ass down to meet up with us today so that won't miss a single show of this tour. Courtney is a beast in both the singing and screaming departments and is also an incredibly awesome person. We wouldn't tarnish the years of work that we've put into this band by having somebody half-ass it on stage with us, so please come to a show and give her a high-five and make her feel welcome for doing us this huge favor. It makes it feel even better and more natural since she has been a long-term fan of our band and already knows the material.
"So long story short; Fear not friends and Bear Fuckers... We will continue to play Warped Tour and we hope that you will continue to support us. Getting to play for and talk to so many of you on a daily basis is honestly what we live for, and we will definitely continue with our plan to high-five everybody on Earth. We will update you with more info soon, including some new tour dates and info on our recently-finished full-length horror/comedy/whatever film A Beary Scary Movie!
"And finally, thank you so much to everybody who has been so supportive of us for all these years and we hope to see you again soon!"
