Annotations Of An Autopsy Seeking New Bassist

U.K. based death metallers Annotations of an Autopsy have issued the following announcement about parting ways with their bassist:

"Ross Davey has decided to part ways with AOAA as of march 25th 2009 There is no bad blood or anything, we didnt kick him out it was down to a number of reasons which would have prevented him from touring full time with us. Its sad to see him go, hes been with us for years and we'll still remain friends. We've had some awesome times with you ross thanks for the memories and good luck in whatever you follow in life.

"As of right now we're seeking a full time bassist to join AOAA Who is ready to jump into working on our new album and tour from july onwards. It doesnt matter where in the uk you live as long as you can travel. If youre intrested you must be 18+, be able to tour full time and have alot of stage presence, No shy people who are afraid to krunk their junk on stage You must be a hard worker, be able to take the good with the bad and have a laugh. If youre not into death metal then dont even bother

"If you think youre gonna join the band and walk straight into a set salary then youre mistaken, a band isnt a 9-5 paid job and if you think you can just walk into a bunch of money then you can fuck off.

"If you want to apply. Send a video of you playing "Years of Disgust" Along with a small bio on yourself, what equipment you have and a picture of yourself If youve played in any other bands and have any live videos send us links To annotationsofanautopsy@hotmail.co.uk

"*and no we wont pay for you to move here / fly here from abroad, uk people only"

The Acacia Strain Posts New Song Online

Massachusetts heavy hitters THE ACACIA STRAIN have posted a brand new song, "Skynet," on the band’s official MySpace page to celebrate the launch of pre-orders for the band’s forthcoming album, "Continent," now available online in five different, exclusive packages here. The first 400 pre-orders will come with an autographed 11"x17" poster featuring album artwork by Paul Romano (Mastodon, The Red Chord, Trivium).

"Skynet" is the lead track from "Continent" and is slated to be shot for a music video shortly; more details on that will be available soon. "'Skynet' is a band favorite," vocalist Vincent Bennett says of the band's new track. "We figured we should debut some of our 'different' tracks so when people pick up the album they are totally confused."

Scheduled for an August 19 release through Prosthetic Records, "Continent" is THE ACACIA STRAIN’s fourth full-length release and again features artwork from Romano who also supplied artwork for the band’s 2006 release, "The Dead Walk," and audio production from Zeuss (Shadows Fall, Hatebreed, God Forbid). The band recently completed a successful headlining tour across America with support from All Shall Perish, The Warriors and Since The Flood, culminating in a hometown show this past weekend in Holyoke, Mass. which was filmed for an upcoming DVD release in the future. THE ACACIA STRAIN will take a few days off at home before departing again for Europe alongside Annotations of An Autopsy and Knights of the Abyss.

The Acacia Strain Readies Tour, New Album

Massachusetts four-piece, The Acacia Strain, is set to embark on a month-long headlining tour this summer. The SUN YOUR BUNZ tour, which kicks off in Buffalo on May 30th, will run through the end of June, leveling 26 cities along the way. Adding to the onslaught are fellow Massachusetts hardcore veterans, Since the Flood, and Nuclear Blast’s, All Shall Perish, who will be along for the duration of the tour. The Warriors (Victory Records) and Eternal Lord (Ferret Music) round out the lineup as they perform on select dates. SUN YOUR BUNZ will finish up on June 29th in Holyoke, MA, just minutes outside The Acacia Strain’s hometown of Springfield, where the band will have their set filmed for an upcoming DVD. The band will then bring the brutality overseas for a European tour with Annotations of an Autopsy and Knights of the Abyss.

"This is the best time of year to tour,” says The Acacia Strain vocalist, Vincent Bennett. “I couldn't ask for a better group of dudes to spend my time on the road with. Excited to see old friends and meet new ones. It is going to be a killer June. Come on out and SUN YOUR BUNZ!"

The Acacia Strain is also gearing up for the release of their fourth studio album, "Continent," which is due out on August 19th on Prosthetic Records. The band had the opportunity to work with acclaimed producer, Zeuss,(Hatebreed, Shadows Fall, God Forbid) on the release.

"We don't remember when writing a record felt this good,” explains the band’s guitarist, DL. “Continent has something to it that we never really tried before; some uncharted territory, but at the same time still left us room to do what we love doing best. There's a little something for everyone on this one...even that guy."
