After forming in 1999, Seether (originally Saron Gas) quickly gained notoriety in their home country's anemic rock market. The band's South African release, Fragile, became one of the best selling titles of the year, and Seether emerged as a top live draw. This was no small feat in a land where rock bands play second banana to indigenous music and pop.
Seether's brand of passive-aggressive rock - both highly accessible, yet angry - lead to their signing with Wind-Up Records and a spot on Ozzfest in 2002.

The third annual Monster Energy Aftershock Festival returns to Discovery Park near downtown Sacramento September 13th & 14th, 2014,
The lineup includes Godsmack, Weezer, The Offspring, Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch, Limp Bizkit, Rise Against, Chevelle, AWOLNATION, Seether, Mastodon, Pennywise, Bad Religion, and many more.
After last year’s festival (sold-out with 32,000 in attendance), the festival is expanding to four stages in 2014, offering more bands than ever.

“I initially questioned whether or not we would be able to top last year’s Rocklahoma lineup this time around,” says Joe Litvag, Rocklahoma’s co-executive producer for AEG Live. “But with some of the biggest names in the rock world today like Kid Rock, Five Finger Death Punch, Seether and Deftones playing alongside Rocklahoma legends like Twisted Sister, Jackyl, Tom Kiefer of Cinderella and Kix, there is not a doubt in my mind that we just raised the bar! Dee Snider of Twisted Sister explains: "I view this festival as sort of a ‘Royal Rumble’ of rock; it's every band for itself, each trying to claim the belt. When Twisted Sister is done that night, the promoters are going to need to change the name of the event to 'I Wanna Rocklahoma'!"

South African hard rock band Seether has released a number of track-by-track videos discussing the songs that made their "Seether: 2002-2013" best-of compilation. The album, which contains three new songs, b-sides, rarities, and 15 of their hits, is out today, October 29th.

Hurricane Irene is roaring up the east coast of the U.S. and has caused organizers of the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival to reschedule a Sunday date in suburban Boston.
The show, slated for the Comcast Center in Mansfield, Mass., is right in the projected path of the massive storm, which is expected to slam into the Massachusetts coastline sometime Sunday afternoon - just as Avenged Sevenfold, Seether, Bullet for My Valentine, Black Tide and the rest of the bill would be on the venue's outdoor stages.
“Safety first…We don’t want any of our fans to get hurt,” said M. Shadows of Avenged Sevenfold. “We decided to move the show from Sunday to Tuesday so all of you crazy fucks can make it and stay safe.”
"We apologize for any inconvenience to the fans, but safety is our first concern. We want everyone to be able to enjoy a full afternoon and evening of rock at UPROAR,” said Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival co-producer John Oakes. “After the Category 3 storm blows through New England on Sunday, UPROAR promises to bring a Category 5 rock storm on Tuesday.”
The tour starts in Camden, N.J. Friday and hits Scranton, Penn. on Saturday before taking the storm hiatus until Tuesday's Boston show.

The organisers of the touring Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar tour have confirmed which bands will be taking part in this year's edition of the trek. Headlining the run will be Orange County, California based Avenged Sevenfold, who will be joined by Three Days Grace, Seether, Bullet For My Valentine and Escape The Fate. There will also be a second stage which will feature Sevendust as it's headlining act, along with Black Tide, Art Of Dying and The Black Cloud Collective.
"When we started hearing from our fans they wanted to see us back on Uproar this year, we thought, last year was a blast so let's do it again. The fans are crazy and the bands kick ass,” says Avenged Sevenfold's frontman M. Shadows. “We're spending the first half of summer playing some big European festivals so we're going to be ready to get back home and play America's top rock festival."

It has been announced that thrash metal icons Metallica will headline the forthcoming "Rock the Hill" festival in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada on July 14, 2011.
General-admission tickets are priced at $99.50 with a limited amount of special VIP tickets available for $199.50. VIP ticket holders will have access to the front of stage pit, their own entrance and concessions, and separate washrooms from General-admission ticket holders.
The event is set to take place on July 14, 2011 on the Garrisons Grounds of Citadel Hill in Halifax and will also feature performances from Coheed and Cambria, Protest the Hero, Matt Mays and Seether. A trailer for the event is available for viewing below.
Indiana's Xero Sum has issued the following announcement about playing the upcoming "May Day" show with Seether and Bullet For My Valentine:

Avenged Sevenfold, Godsmack, Three Days Grace, and Stone Sour are among the artists confirmed for the first ever Carolina Rebellion, which is set for Saturday, May 7 at Metrolina Expo in Charlotte, NC.

Seether is working on a new album and has issued the following update:
"What's up? This is Dale here and I just wanted to give you guys a quick head's up as to what is new is the world of Seether. We've been in Nashville for the past few weeks busy working on the new album and we're really excited about the new stuff. I definitely think it's the best stuff we've done to date so we're really excited for you guys to hear it and see what everybody's thinks about it.
"Working with Brendan O'Brien has been really great. He's a great guy, great producer and we gel really well with him musically, which is awesome. I think we just share the same vision of what we want this album to be at the end of the day. So it's been a great experience. He has a great crew of guys that her works with, real professional, really nice guys so its just been a good working environment and a good experience so far. We've taken a short break right now but gonna go back to Nashville in the beginning of next month and finish up the rest of the songs. We really don't have a lot left to do but when that's done, gonna go straight into mixing and start looking at options to get back out on the road.
"We'll probably be back on the road by fall and be out there playing these new songs and seeing all of you guys again. We're really excited and ready to get back out on the road and play these new songs for you guys. We look forward to seeing you guys soon!"

We have been in the studio for the last few weeks with the 'mighty' Brendan O' Brien producing and the new stuff is sounding great! Brendan is the perfect fit for us and working with him has been a blast. So, with us hard at work it's time for a little 'play-time'!!
