Bloodstock organizers have issued the following update:
“And so we can reveal that the final band for Bloodstock 2005 is: Amon Amarth.
Amon Amarth will play the “Special Guest” slot on Saturday 3rd September for a 60 minute set of blistering Viking Metal!”

The following is Amon Amarth's official statement concerning the chaotic MMS Festival in Croatia:
End of April this year, we were contacted by the organizers of MMS festival in Croatia to play at the MMS festival and possibly do a bonus show in Hungary in connection to this festival. As the organisation seemd serious and professional, we accepted the deal they had for us. It was agreed that the organizer was to book and pay for the plane tickets, for the band plus sound engineer.
As the months went along, no tickets turned up and there was no news on the Hungarian show. Eventually, we realized that there wasn't going to be a Hungarian show at all, and we were beginning to doubt whether there would be any tickets for us to fly down to Croatia.
A Montreal date on November 10th has been revealed for Children of Bodom, Trivium and Amon Amarth, presumably the start of a North American tour later this year. Confirmed dates are as follows:
November 9 - Quebec City, CAN @ Theatre Capitole
November 10 - Montreal, CAN @ Medley
Metal Blade Europe has announced that Powerwolf will be completing the line-up for their 10th anniversary party, the METAL BLADE RRROOOAAARRR. The show will take place October 2nd at the LKA (Longhorn) in Stuttgart.

All bands will be performing special sets with a few surprises in their set lists. After the Amon Amarth gig a Metal Blade all-star band will be playing a few cover tunes.
Every visitor will get a free CD. There will be special event merchandise for fair prices available at the venue. In between the bands there will be presentations and lotteries – lots of goodies will be raffled among the visitors!
Tickets for the METAL BLADE RRROOOAAARRR are only available via www.metalblade.de – each ordered ticket includes a free poster. Tickets are only 20,00 Euros.
According to Children of Bodom fansite Scythes-of-Bodom.com, the surprise track on the band's upcoming single, "In Your Face" (to be released August 17), will be a cover of Britney Spears' "Oops I Did It Again." Tracklisting for the single:

Two cover songs were recorded during the "Are You Dead Yet?" session. The second cover song will be used as a bonus track for the Japanese version of the album.

Lennart Larsson, the organizer of Sweden's 2000 Decibel festival, has issued the following press release:
Today, Sunday the 5th June, we the organizers behind the 2000 Decibel-festival in Bengtsfors, Sweden have, after six years, decided to put the festival to rest.
We now hope that someone else with the same burning passion for Swedish hard rock and metal as we have and always have had, but with a better geographical location, will take over our idea and concept!
We would like to take the opportunity to thank all the bands that have played at the festival as well as everyone that has supported us during the years!

This year's 2000 Decibel festival took place on May 21st and featured acts including Amon Amarth, Meshuggah, Defleshed and Therion.
Metal Blade Records Europe are celebrating their 10th Anniversary this year. To celebrate this birthday, they have organized an event, called "METAL BLADE RRROOOAAARRR", with a few bands playing and lots of extras.
The METAL BLADE RRROOOAAARRR will be held on the 2nd of October, 2005 in the LKA (Longhorn) in Stuttgart. A nice day for a big party as the 3rd of October is a National holiday in Germany!

Amon Amarth will be teaming up with labelmates Cataract and Impious for a short summer tour inbetween their headlining appearances at Party.San and Summer Breeze Open Air festivals.
The show in Köln (Cologne) will be filmed for a DVD-recording to be released by the end of the year. More details about the filming and the specials surrounding this particular gig will be announced soon.

Dimmu Borgir has been confirmed for Gates of Metal. The Norwegian band will play the big stage at this years festival. Sweden's Evergrey is also confirmed. Gates of Metal is held in Hultsfred, Sweden between the fifth and sixth of August.

God Among Insects
According to organisers, MANTAS and NECROPHAGIST have cancelled their shows at the Inferno Festival "due to health issues within the band and close family." Their replacements are NATTEFROST and HATESPHERE. The Inferno Festival is held March 24th-26th in the two room venue known as John Dee's and Rockefeller in Oslo, Norway. The bands alternate stages, between the balconied upstairs room (capable of holding a couple thousand people), to the smaller, downstairs John Dee, limited to a few hundred.

Another three artists are presented by the Gates of Metal festival which takes place in Hultsfred, Sweden between the 5 and 6 of August.
The new artists are Children of Bodom, Nocturnal Rites and Twilightning. The festival has now confirmed eight artists to the third edition of Gates of Metal.
This years festival will expand and opens on the Friday evening with performances. This will also mean that there is going to be more artists performing at Gates of Metal 2005 than other years.
5000 tickets have been released, and foreign visitors can make their reservation at the official festival website. The website is now available in English as well.

Party.San Open Air 2005, the 11th edition of the annual festival, is scheduled to take place August 11th - 13th in Bad Berka, Germany. The latest acts confirmed to perform are AMON AMARTH, IMPIOUS, OCCULT, LORD BELIAL, GENERAL SURGERY .

Mexican death/black metal band EVILHEART will be opening for AMON AMARTH on February 11 in Monterrey, N.L. Mexico. For more info check the flyer. In other news Evilheart are writing new songs. Among the new titles are 'Oath Of Apostasy' and 'Dead Peace'. The band plan to write more songs during the year, and enter the studio during the first months of 2006. The second pressing of their debut album, Dark In Glory, will be released through Asenath Records at the middle of the year.
Swedish metallers MORGANA LEFAY are the latest addition to the 2005 edition of the Bang Your Head festival (the 10th Anniversary edition) which is set to take place on June 24th and 25th in Balingen, Germany. Tickets are available at the ticket-hotline (+49-74 57-9 13 93) and via the homepage. Pre-sale cost of the tickets is 59 Euros (plus shipping). Norwegian metal band Tristania are the latest act confirmed for the 2005 edition of the Summer Breeze festival, set to be held August 18-20 in Abtsgmünd, Germany. Also set to appear at the festival are Impious, Krisiun, The Vision Bleak, Suidakra, Ektomorf, Amon Amarth, Maroon, Symphorce, Born From Pain, Endstille, Lacrimas Profundere, Die Apokalyptischen Reiter, End of Green, Atrocity, Haggard, Final Breath, God Dethroned, Subway to Sally and The Bones. More confirmations will be announced during the coming days.
Tristania will support Nightwish on a 10-date run through the U.K., Belgium and Germany beginning in mid-February. A South American tour with Dark Tranquillity and Kreator will follow in March.
Tristania's new album, "Ashes", is scheduled for release on January 24, 2005 through SPV Records.

Virgin Steele are confirmed to play at Bang Your Head 2005-festival. The event is set to take place in Germany at the Messegelände of Balingen on the 24th and 25th of June.
Bang Your Head 2005 will be the 10th Bang Your Head in a row and is therefore themed "The Best of ten Years". To celebrate this anniversary, the festival's organizers invited the most popular acts of all former events. Alongside 22 acts that have rocked the festival's stage before, another well-known very special guest will be invited.
