Den Saakaldte Signs With Agonia Records
Norwegian act Den Saakaldte recently announced its split with Pulverised Records. The band has now revealed it has moved to Agonia Records by issuing the following statement:
"Many dramatic changes occured during the last one year in Den Saakaldte’s reality. When Niklas decided no longer to continue with the band, many things passed from our minds…even just dropping the whole damn thing off.
"After the band discussing and coming to the conclusion that all the members wanted Den Saakaldte to continue being active as a way of artistic expression but also as in a lifestyle attitude for us, we decided that certain things had to be put down and start all over again.
"Agonia Records that has been following our ways and sharing our ideas on how things should be, gave us the opportunity to built the foundations for Kapittel II:Faen I Helvete on solid ground. Filip showed to us with quite devotion, the how much he wanted the band in Agonia Records’ roster.
"We are looking forward to start with the recordings and we are even more excited to hear soundscapes, having now Mr Hægeland as frontman. The future looks dark ...and quite much pissed off."
Additional details on the upcoming album "Kapittel II:Faen I Helvete" will be announced as they are made available.
Den Saakaldte Splits With Label
Guitarist Sykelig of Norwegian act Den Saakaldte has checked in with the following update about the band parting ways with Pulverised Records:
"Many things changed during the last period of time for us as individuals and as an affect, to Den Saakaldte as well.
"We felt and considered that we would like all factors surrounding the band and genereting life to the band to be surrounding us and to be more direct to us.
"We took the decision that Den Saakaldte's future would work better if the record label that we are signed by, is based in Europe. Pulverised Records that has always been in supportive spirit, respected this decision of ours and we agreed to part ways as friends and with mutual appreciation & respect.
"We thank Pulverised Records for the faith and trust they've shown to us and we wish to the label all success with their future releases. Den Saakaldte will soon take decisions on what is to happen."
Den Saakaldte Announces New Vocalist
After recently parting ways with vocalist Niklas Kvarforth, Den Saakaldte has now issued the following update about recruiting a new front man:
"When Niklas decided to leave Den Saakaldte in order to focus to his main band Shining, we knew that it would be damn difficult to find someone capable and charismatic like Niklas is. We think we did well in finding that person…
"We are proud to announce that the new vocalist of Den Saakaldte, is no other than Mr. Øyvind Hægeland, known for his amazing work with Spiral Architect, Arcturus, Scariot..
"Øyvind has already started focusing on lyrics and different weird ideas he wants to express with Den Saakaldte's music. Vocals for the new album 'Kapittel II: Faen I Helvete' are scheduled to be recorded, autumn 2011 and we are all damn excited about it. Ugh!"
Den Saakaldte Comments On Band's Future
It was previously announced that vocalist Niklas Kvarforth has quit Bethlehem and Den Saakaldte in order to focus on his main band Shining. Guitarist Mikael Sykelig of Den Saakaldte has now checked in with the following brief statement about the future of the band:
"For some people that asked... Yes, we also say that Niklas has decided to deal with just Shining from now on. He is still our good friend and everything's fine between Niklas and us.
"New challenges and new era are coming up...or maybe we will just kill the band. We don't know yet... We will let you know."

Niklas Kvarforth Comments On Quitting Bands
It was previously announced that vocalist Niklas Kvarforth has parted ways with the band Bethlhehem. Niklas has now checked in with the following announcement about leaving all other projects, including his post with Den Saakaldte, in order to focus on the band Shining:
"A lot of things have been happening recently with Shining, and the rapid growth of the band over the last year, and the commitment that Shining now requires of me has meant that it has become impractical for me to continue working as vocalist with other bands.
"This includes my work with Bethlehem who themselves realized that the band could not continue with myself on vocals. Bethlehem is still my all-time favorite band and I wish them all the best for the future. I will also be quitting as front man for Den Saakaldte.
"From now on, therefore, I will only be making occasional guest vocal appearances on albums by other bands, and my priority will be Shining. My work with Maniac's band Skitliv will not be affected, however, as the vocals and the bulk of the creative work is in his hands.
"As always, myself and the band very much appreciate all the support the fans are giving Shining and their patience in waiting for the release of VII, and there will be some very good news regarding this very shortly"

Den Saakaldte Splits With Drummer
Norwegian black metallers Den Saakaldte have checked in with the following update about parting ways with their drummer Anders Kobro:

Kobro during the last months was a precious help and Den Saakaldte thank him for his services and dedication. The new album though is going to be rehearsed and worked a lot and the Kristiansand-Oslo distance makes our goal unreachable.
