Glorior Belli Creates Side Band To Release Album

French band Glorior Belli has issued the following announcement about creating a side band to release a new album:

"During the past couple of months there have been a few announcements about Glorior Belli's new full-length and artistic direction, yet it was still unclear where all those changes would take us. Today, we'd like to bring a new development to your attention: Experimenting has always been an important matter to us, however having the new material tagged as Glorior Belli would be inconsistent, unless we really never go back to playing black metal.

"So in order to set things right, we decided to create a side project called '11 As In Adversaries' and release 'The Full Intrepid Experience of Light' [previously announced as Glorior Belli's 4th full-length] as a debut. Separating things will help us being more efficient on all fronts. We understand that this decision can be confusing but it's really just a formality!

"The foolhardy venturers who has shown their support to the new material and would like to keep doing it are welcome to follow '11 As In Adversaries' on Myspace. Note that there is truly a successor to 'Meet Us...' coming for Glorior Belli. More information will be revealed soon."

Glorior Belli Becomes A Solo Band

Vocalist Julien, formerly known as "Infestvvs," of French black metal act Glorior Belli has issued the following update about parting ways with all of the other band members:

"What's going on with the line-up FFS?! Clearly there's an issue here...After (too) many changes and (too) many mistakes from my side, I have decided to go on my own way and do what I should have done in the the very first place with Glorior Belli: A SOLO project, helped by a handful of musicians for LIVE related matters.

"I want to make sure this isn't going to 'hurt' the people we have recruited lately, as there was absolutely nothing wrong with them, besides the fact that I AM a control freak. So please note that this is on ME only. The solitary path is the only one I know and the only one that gives satisfaction at the end of the road for me. I hereby would like to send the most wishful thoughts to everyone that has been involved in GB's activities for a few hours or a few years. You know who you are!"

Glorior Belli also recently finished recording their fourth full-length album "The Full Intrepid Experience of Light," which will be released via Candlelight Records. A teaser trailer for the new album can be viewed below. More...

Glorior Belli Recruits New Bassist And Drummer

Glorior Belli has issued the following announcement about recruiting a new bassist and drummer:

"Summer time is now over and after a short trial of faith, Glorior Belli again shall rise!

"As always there is a change in the line up, only this time we proudly welcome two very promising American fellows, also involved in a deadly well-known project called 'Unearthly Trance'. Our comrades from New York respectively named Jay and Darren will take care of the rhythm section (understand Bass and Drums) full time. Chris (aka Alastor) and Julien (aka Infestvvs) will still handle the Guitar/Vocals duties like they used to. We all decided to let go of our nicknames for obvious reasons.

"Therefore, Glorior Belli should probably be able to give a few live shows in a while, assuming 'you' understand the logistic it now requires. Thunderdome Touring (Dan) remains our booking agency in North-America. In any case interested people should get in touch as always through our regular email: gloriorbelli [@] hotmail.com

"Also, the four of us will most likely start working on some new tunes soon, but more on that later, as good things come to whose who wait."

Candlelight Announces CIII Label Tour 2009

Candlelight Records has announced its third label packaged tour for North America. Set to kick off on June 6, CIII will feature the talents of US black metal legends Absu, with support coming from France’s Glorior Belli, Austin-based Averse Sefira and Los Angeles-based Sothis. The tour will visit 22 cities throughout the US and Canada beginning in San Marcos, California and wrapping up in Dallas, Texas on June 29. Tickets for all shows are currently on sale exclusively at Enterthevault.com. Tickets will go on sale through all local and online ticket agencies starting March 5.

Absu’s self-titled new album hits stores nationwide February 24. Currently featured on the cover of Metal Maniacs, the album is the first to offer new material from the highly regarded metal band in nearly eight years. This will be the band’s first large-scale tour since their tour alongside Enslaved in 1997.

France’s Glorior Belli make their first trip to North America as they participate on CIII. Their sophomore record, "Manifesting the Raging Beast," was released in 2007 via Southern Lord Records. The band now, signed to Candlelight, will begin recording of their label debut, titled "Meet Us at the Southern Sign," this month with hopes to see it released during the tour.

Averse Sefira joins CIII continuing to support their latest album, "Advent Parallax." Their participation on the tour is their third national tour in two years having previously toured with labelmates 1349 in 2007 and with friends Immolation in early 2008.

Sothis released their debut, "De Oppresso Liber," on September 2. Mixed by Andy LaRocque (King Diamond), the record has enjoyed growing and consistent sales since release. This will be the band’s first national tour.

CIII follows the success of Candlelight’s previous label tours – the first in 2005 featuring Entombed, Crowbar, Pro-Pain & The Mighty Nimbus, and second in 2007 featuring Enslaved, Dark Funeral and then newcomers Abigail Williams. The label, maintaining offices in Philadelphia and London, continues to grow since launching American operations in 2001. Candlelight is distributed throughout the US exclusively via Caroline Distribution, EMI Music for Canada and Plastichead Music for the rest of the world.

Confirmed dates for the CIII 2009 tour are as follows: More...
