With nationwide speculation that the zombie apocalypse is officially upon us, it would only seem appropriate for Six Feet Under's 18 Nights Of Blood Tour to commence this Friday. The near three-week run of live rituals will begin in Atlanta, Georgia and cannibalize its way across the U.S. coming to a close on the band's home turf of Tampa, Florida. Blood shall be spilled, faces eaten and brains devoured! No one is safe.
Six Feet Under will be joined by newly recruited rhythm guitarist Ola Englund who takes the place of Rob Arnold. Support will be provided by Dying Fetus and Revocation.
The band will be touring in support of "Undead," which toppled Billboard charts upon its first week of release. "Undead" was unleashed to North American ears via Metal Blade on May 22nd and offers an updated lineup of Barnes alongside guitarist Rob Arnold (ex- Chimaira), longtime guitarist Steve Swanson (ex-Massacre), bassist Jeff Hughell (ex-Brain Drill, ex-Vile), and drummer Kevin Talley (Dying Fetus, Misery Index, Chimaira). Massachusetts metallers Revocation have confirmed that they will be taking part in this year's Scion Rock Fest on June 2nd taking place in Tampa, Florida. The event kicks off at 4 PM and will be held at four venues in the area including: The Ritz Ybor, Crowbar, The Orpheum and Czar Bar.
Revocation front man Dave Davidson spoke about playing this year's Scion Rock Fest: "We are very pleased to be a part of this year's Scion Rock Fest. We can't wait to tear it up and check out all the sick bands that are playing. Floridians, prepare for the onslaught!"
The band has also confirmed that Revocation will be taking part in the Shockwave Festival Tour alongside Fear Factory, Voivod, Cattle Decapitation and more. The tour kicks off July 6th in Seattle, WA and runs through August 4th in Hollywood, CA.
"This summer's Shockwave Festival is packed with totally sick bands and we're very pumped to be a part of it. We're already bros with a bunch of the bands on this package so we know it'll be a rager for sure and the fact that Fear Factory is headlining with direct support from Voivod is gonna make it totally insane. It's going to be a very booze drenched summer!" says Davidson.
Revocation will also be hitting the road this summer with label mates Dying Fetus and Six Feet Under on the "18 Nights of Blood Tour." The tour starts June 8th in Atlanta, GA and will wrap up June 29th in Tampa, FL. Dates are listed below. The band has also been keeping everyone up to date on all the mayhem on the road with a series of new tour blogs on Metal Underground. More...
Drummer Phil Dubois-Coyne from Revocation has checked in with Metalunderground.com for another exclusive look at the band's headlining tour with Cannabis Corpse and Ramming Speed. The previous road report can be read here. Phil had this to say:
"Hey douchebags! Phil here, back again with the final blog of our headlining tour. I know your all getting sick of them at this point, but don’t worry this is the last one until June, so just shut up and read it.
"Well, as I left off last time, we had just gang banged our stomachs with delicious burgers from Kuma’s Korner in Chicago. Unfortunately, right as I was riding the high from that amazing meat orgy, I had a shocking encounter which completely soiled my opinion of the windy city. Now to all you RevoManiacs in Chicago, I mean no offense. I have many a fond memory eating your unnecessarily huge pizzas, and drunkenly wandering the streets of your unnecessarily huge city. BUT, I was never made aware that Chicago houses some of the most insidious, subliminal planting of racist ideologies into young, defenseless minds that I have ever seen. I mean honestly, this is completely unacceptable!
Metal Blade Records has issued the following announcement about the lineup for the upcoming Shockwave Festival tour:

Established to give metal fans a lower cost festival option this season, the tour will commence on July 6 in Seattle, Washington, and feature an eclectic lineup of artists including futuristic metal conjurers Fear Factory and sci-fi thrash legends Voivod as well as Cattle Decapitation, Misery Index, Revocation, Havok, Dirge Within, Last Chance to Reason, Vildhjarta, The Browning, and Forged in Flame.
"Presented by Full Metal Jackie with further sponsorships by EVH, DDrums, Ampeg, Intune Guitar Pics, Indie Merch, Earsplit PR, Skateboard Marketing, Burning Angel, Yetibite, The PRP, Rockin Wellness, Dirtycheese Design & Development and Blank TV, the caravan of chaos will run through August with additional dates to be announced in the coming weeks. "Our first show was in our hometown, Boston. We always have a great time in Boston, because there are so many old friends to catch up with over beers, some of which I haven’t seen in years!

Bassist Anthony Buda commented on the Children of Bodom tour and Revocation's upcoming headline run:
"Hey all thanks so much for coming out and raging with us for the past 5 weeks on the Children of Bodom, Eluveitie and Threat Signal tour! It was a wild ride, and we're sad to see it pass. Last year, Children of Bodom earned a gold record in its native Finland for selling 10,000 copies of "Relentless Reckless Forever” on its release date. Add this to career sales in their country and the group has sold over 250,000 records, making them one of Finland’s best selling artists of all time. In America, 250,000 units will get them halfway to a gold record; that is if we were counting individual recordings. Still, the group has found its way to the ears of enough Americans to warrant a headlining tour in celebration of the group’s 15th birthday.
Children of Bodom has spent the better part of the new millennium on the road in America, supporting some of metal’s biggest acts. I saw Children of Bodom twice in 2004. Once, they supported Lamb of God and Fear Factory. Another time they went out with Ripper Owens and Iced Earth. Eluveitie, Revocation and Threat Signal have assumed the warm-up spots so familiar to the melodic death/power metal act. Several of Emo’s patrons wore BLS shirts as a reminder of Children of Bodom’s 2010 showing in Austin with Black Label Society. More...
Revocation is currently on tour with Eluveitie and Threat Signal as part of Children of Bodom’s 15th anniversary tour. Although the group has completed tours with artists such as Chimaira, Impending Doom, Forbidden, White Wizzard and Havok, the group states this is the biggest tour of its career.
Before taking the stage at Emo’s in Austin, Texas, drummer Phil Dubois-Coyne, guitarist David Davidson and bassist Anthony Buda gave Metal Underground the following exclusive tour report: More...
As Revocation prepares to kick off a North American tour with Children of Bodom, Eluveitie and Threat Signal, the band is now unveiling a special treat for fans. Starting today, Ultimate-Guitar is hosting an exclusive stream of the bands own metallic rendition of Faith No More's track "Surprise! You're Dead." The song, previously available only on the "Chaos of Forms" deluxe digital edition on iTunes can now be heard here.
Front man Dave Davidson spoke about the band's new song and upcoming tour: "What's up shredders! We're stoked to premier our rendition of the classic Faith No More song 'Surprise! You're Dead!' through Ultimate-Guitar.com. We had a blast recording this cover and we're honored that we could pay homage to such an amazing band, we hope you guys dig it! Also, we'll be hitting the road with Children of Bodom, Eluveitie and Threat Signal very soon so come out to the shows and rage with us!"

Western Massachusetts is home to one of the most loyal and fanatical local metal scenes I only vaguely knew existed. National exports such as Shadows Fall and Killswitch Engage aside, all my years of visiting family in the area hadn’t yet tapped me into the region’s pulsing, simmering underground until Saturday, November 12th.
Still sore from the merciless thrashing I’d received at the hands of Anthrax the evening prior in Worcester, I dragged my exhausted body and scrambled mind out to the main event of “Metalympics.” A regional battle of the bands devoted to guess-what-genre, Metalympics is a beloved grassroots institution. While shows are ordinarily held at Easy Street Nightclub up the road in Greenfield, tonight’s event had been moved to Silk City Taproom in the snug hamlet of Florence – after the regular venue temporarily closed its doors. The tour will kick off in late January and include Children of Bodom, Threat Signal, and Eluveitie. A listing of confirmed tour dates and cities can be found below with tickets going on sale this Friday, November 11th.
Commented Threat Signal vocalist, Jon Howard, “Threat Signal is ready to tear North America a new ***hole! Fresh out of the studio with our new self-titled release, we are very anxious to get on the road to shred some new music. We'll be playing songs from all three records, however we'll be focusing more on new material. Touring with Children Of Bodom has been a dream of ours since we started the band, so to be on this tour is just insane. We'll be giving it all we've got, so be prepared for a f**kin’ slaughter!”

The almighty metal mosh pit: sanctuary to some, place of unfortunate pain for others. Every week we seek out fans and bands to share their most memorable mosh pit stories, and this week guitarist David Davidson of Revocation shares the following tale of a drunken stage dive. A bloody clip of the aftermath is also available below.
My mosh pit story took place during the Darkest Hour Legacy Tour. We were playing in Cleveland at a club called Peabody's and the DH dudes bought a shit ton of booze to get the party started early. I was drinking heavily and was talking with Misha from Periphery about the joys of stage diving. He had mentioned that he had never done it before and in my drunken state I convinced him there was nothing to worry about so I decided to demonstrate for him. I jumped of the stage backwards and at the same time head first. Unfortunately I over shot my jump and landed directly on the back of my head, busting my dome open. After a quick trip to the emergency room I returned to the show with 8 staples in the back of my head. Good times!
In other Revocation news, the band recently shot a new music video for the track "No Funeral."
Check back in next Tuesday as we share more pit stories from band members and metal fans.
Revocation has shot a new video for the track "No Funeral" from the latest release "Chaos of Forms" (reviewed here).
The clip was directed by David Brodsky of MyGoodEye NYC (Municipal Waste, The Black Dahlia Murder, All That Remains, Devin Townsend Project) and will be released this November.
Revocation is currently on a tour in the U.S. alongside Chimaira. A listing of confirmed tour dates and cities can be found this location.
