THE PROJECT HATE MCMXCIX started up in 1998 after years of talking between the two long-time friends and band leaders Lord K. Philipson and Jörgen Sandström. Lord K. Philipson was already widely known for his work with GOD AMONG INSECTS, LEUKEMIA, HOUSE OF USHER, LAME as well as stepping in as a touring bassist and guitarist for renowned bands like DARK FUNERAL, VOMITORY and GRAVE among others.

The Project Hate, the Swedish band featuring Jörgen Sandström of Entombed/Grave fame on lead vocals, have just completed work on the fifth track out of the seven or eight planned for inclusion on the group's fourth studio album, according to a posting on the group's web site. "Rough demos of everything's been made to have something to work with as we write lyrics," the posting adds. "Three or four lyrics are pretty much completed as well and things are going good to say the least.
"We haven't got a date set for the recording just yet, but we know we are to enter the studio sometime in December for almost three weeks of recording. We have some titles ready as well and we might even have come up with the album title already. We'll see if we keep it or if we come up with something even better as we go along."
God Among Insects, the Swedish "old-school" death metal band featuring vocalist Emperor Magus Caligula (Dark Funeral), guitarist Lord K (a.k.a. Kenth Philipson) (The Project Hate), bassist Tomas Elofsson (Sanctification) and drummer Tobias Gustafsson (Vomitory), have uploaded the video for their track "Uhr-Nazuur" at this location. "Just remember it's nothing special really as we spent no cash at all on it, but at least you'll see some of the intensity we display live, with some other cool shit thrown in for good measures," the band write on their web site.
"Uhr-Nazuur" comes off the group's debut album, "World Wide Death", which was released in Europe on September 6 through Plastic Head Distribution. An MP3 of the album cut "A Gush of Blood" can be downloaded at this location.

THE PROJECT HATE, the Swedish band featuring Jörgen Sandström of ENTOMBED/GRAVE fame on lead vocals, will enter Soundlab Studios in December to record their fourth full-length album, tentatively due in early 2005. "We plan to record 8 or 9 songs for the album," the group write on their web site. "We are also planning to record a cover. No, it's not going for the album but for a planned compilation album to be released sometime if all goes well. When there's more info about this we'll announce what band we are covering. Let just say we won't do the song in the traditional cover way..."
With regards to the new songs, the band write, "The material is possibly more death metal than anything we have ever done before, without losing all the usual ingredients we are known for. That stuff is probably more evident than ever as well, how weird that may sound..."
Sweden's ENTOMBED have issued an official statement confirming the departure of bassist Jörgen Sandström. According to the statement, "Jörgen has decided to quit touring and left the band on good terms. [However] this does not mean that Jörgen will leave the music business as he is still a member of the bands THE PROJECT HATE & KRUX and will still be involved with the Threeman label and the ENTOMBED homepage."
The statement also confirms our previous report that Jörgen's replacement in the band will be Nico Engelstrand, formerly of TERRA FIRMA. Nico was involved with the band before in the producer/engineer capacity for such albums as "Uprising" (2000) and "Morning Star" (2001).
Nico's live debut with the band will take place this Sunday, February 1 at the Zodiac in Oxford, U.K.
