Australian's Rock Out Festival Postponed

Australia's recently announced Rock Out Festival has been postponed until later this year. Here's the update from the organizers:

“MTD4 and Blade Promotions after consultation with the venues and major stakeholders including the International Artists, have decided that it is in the best interest of all parties concerned to postpone the event to Sept/Oct this year.

"The new dates will be advised as soon as possible.

"We anticipate announcing additional headline bands to join those previously listed as the postponement allows us to restore the event to our original concept including multiple stages, all ages ticketing and camping at all sites.

"We apologise if this postponement causes any inconvenience to those that have already purchased tickets to our event and encourage them to contact us directly - contact@rockoutfestivals.com.au"

The original festival dates that have been postponed are:

10th–12th April - Queensland Raceway, Ipswich, QLD
17th–19th April - Eastern Creek Raceway, NSW
24th–26th April - Calder Park Raceway, VIC

Twisted Sister, Rose Tattoo Added to Rockout Fest

American glam rockers Twisted Sister have been announced as the new headliner for the Australian east coast’s Rockout Festival, that will be hitting up Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in April. Also recently added to the line-up includes Rose Tattoo, Black Majesty and Five Star Prison Cell. More acts will be added in the weeks leading up to the festival.

Sakkuth Announces Release Date For New Album

Known locally for their aggressive live act, vicious vocals and devestating drums, Sakkuth have returned from a hiatus with an album 3 years in the making. The formidable fivesome are finally releasing their third full length album - From Wretched Blood. Available in stores
and via all digital retail outlets on October 18, From Wretched Blood has been featured on radio worldwide with Sakkuth's latest hit, "Suffering Dead".

Guitarist Scott McIvor makes his triumphant writing debut with From Wretched Blood, an intense journey into the heart of Melodic Death Metal. Based in Brisbane, Sakkuth have long been recognized for their brutal blast beats, severe guitar riffs and violent style of playing. Showcasing Sakkuth's tighter and more developed sound, From Wretched Blood is a forty minute demonstration of Sakkuth's evolution from an entertaining local act to monstrous masters of metal.

Sakkuth are planning their much anticipated return to the stage with an east coast tour late 2008/early 2009. Sakkuth will also be headlining at Monstrothic (Metal of Honor) on the 14th of November.

Sakkuth Post New MP3 Of "Suffering Dead" Online

Brisbane's SAKKUTH have uploaded the track, "Suffering Dead," to their MySpace page. The song is taken from their forthcoming album, "From Wretched Blood," due to be released in the next few months.
