British thrashers EVILE are currently on their first full headlining UK tour with support from TRIGGER THE BLOODSHED and MUTANT.
EVILE frontman MATT DRAKE reports from the road:
"Hello all, Matt here with a quick update from halfway through our UK headlining tour. So far no major accidents, we've made it to all the gigs and it's going pretty smoooooth. Mutant and Trigger the Bloodshed are excellent guys to be sharing a tour bus with, good company and it's a pleasure having them along to blow peoples faces off. The shows have been way beyond my expectations so far, I honestly never expected the amount of people that have been showing up so thank you to everyone for coming along and showing your support for Evile." Guitarist, Ol Drake, of UK thrash metal band, Evile, has issued the following update regarding the replacement for Warpath on their upcoming tour with Mutant:
"On Sun 12th Apr Warpath let us know they have to pull out of our tour (which starts Wed 15th Apr) due to their lead guitarist being 'indirectly involved in a motorcycle accident' on the 8th. We wish them all the best and hope he has a speedy recovery."

TRIGGER THE BLOODSHED has released the first of a series of videos taken while in the studio recording their new album, "The Great Depression." The first of the videos released focuses on drummer Max Blunos’ recording session. Head over to the band’s videos page on MySpace page to view the first studio session video. In addition, the band’s MySpace page contains the title track of the new album "The Great Depression," which has a release date of April 14th.

Opeth has been announced as the headlining act for the first day of Hammerfest which takes place in Pontins, Prestatyn Sands, Wales on April 24th and 25th. Hammerfest, which is to be held in Pontins, Prestatyn Sands, North Wales on April 24th - 25th has announced their first batch of acts. The first bands confirmed for the festival are Saxon, Skindred, Cathedral, Bullet For My Valentine, Hammerfall, Sabbat, Dream Evil, Trigger The Bloodshed, Alestorm, Tyr, Exit Ten, Annotations Of An Autopsy and Grand Magus. Fast-rising British death metal act Ignominious Incarceration are in the middle of recording their first ever full-length album. The young five-piece entered Grindstone Studios in Suffolk on September 1st with
producer Scott Atkins to record their highly-anticipated debut album.
After previously announcing the title of their debut album as "The Leagacy," the band have now revealed that the official final title of the album is" Of Winter Born".
Drummer Sam Bailey reports from the studio: "Recording with Scott has been awesome, he knows exactly what we want to accomplish and how to achieve it. We can now reveal that our album is entitled 'Of Winter Born', and there are 10 tracks on the album, and 8 out of 10 are brand new songs. The new songs are a lot more death metal influenced - we really analyzed what we want to sound like and have taken a gigantic step from our older songs, along with really refining our technical ability. We are also going on tour in Europe for two weeks the evening we finish this album and we cannot wait!" More...
Fast-rising British death metal band Ignominious Incarceration entered the studio this Monday (1st September) to begin recording their debut album, titled "The Legacy."
The band has entered Grindstone Studios in Suffolk with producer Scott Atkins (Gama Bomb, Sylosis) to record their highly-anticipated debut full-length album. "The Legacy" is due to be released by Earache Records in early 2009.

Gama Bomb have recently been announced as the second support act for Soulfly's show at ULU in London on August 16th. Also on the bill will be Trigger The Bloodshed.
Gama Bomb leader Philly Byrne states: "It's going to be an honour to light up London with Soulfly next month. We're all massive Max fans, so it's a bit of a dream come true for us. Also, it's part of the Kerrang! awards, which is very cool. They're an excellent periodical, and they obviously have good taste in bands since they asked us to do this. Metal Blade Records has officially inked a deal with UK death / grind band Trigger the Bloodshed. Metal Blade will release the band's debut album "Purgation" in the US, Canada, Australia and Japan. The band issued the following statement on their MySpace:
"We are truly honored and excited to announce that Trigger The Bloodshed are now a part of the Metal Blade Records family. To be a part of the label that has provided us with much of the music we have grown up listening to and has influenced us as musicians is a great feeling. We are very grateful for the opportunity we have had presented to us and would like to thank everyone at Metal Blade for their faith in the band and their work in making this partnership a reality. Dying Fetus is about to head off on their European tour with support acts Anterior, Burning Skies and Trigger the Bloodshed, starting May 30th in Tilburg 013 Netherlands, as part of the Neurotic Death Fest line up.
