A new music video is now available for The Rotted's 2013 single "Rotted Fucking Earth." Check out the clip below.
In another move to keep things in the family, the whole thing was self-funded and released on The Rotted's own Anarchogram Industries label, with the video being directed by vocalist Ben McCrow's brother Tom McCrow and the audio being produced by Joe Thompson at Sonic Forge Music in Cardiff (co-owned by long time friend of the band Mic Hourinhan). The Rotted comments:
"The track itself is about throw away culture and the acceleration of just about everything in modern society. We decided that in a world of 8 string guitars, 12 string basses and drumkits from hell 'shredding' in weird scat-jazz time signatures that we wanted a stripped down song with lots of shouting, and where the verse and chorus are the same chords. It's the most knuckle-dragging, drunken-swaggering, punk-rocking song we've ever written." More...

“The Paranoid” is taken from Ihshan's fourth solo album. Set for release June 19th, "Eremita" was mixed by Jens Bogren (Opeth) and features performances from drummer Tobias Ornes Andersen (Leprous), saxophonist Jorgen Munkeby (Shining-Norway), guitarist Jeff Loomis (ex-Nevermore), and vocalists Devin Townsend, Einar Solberg (Leprous), and Heidi S. Tveitan (StarofAsh).
The inclusion of an early production mix of Rumpelstiltskin Grinder's “Fucking Wild” follows the recent announcement of the band’s forthcoming new album, "Ghostmaker." The Philadelphia-based quartet recently completed a string of regional performances and are now gearing up for dates to support the new album once it hits stores nationwide on June 19th. Guitarist Ryan Moll says, "the title of this track says it all. It’s a rather suiting description of its relentlessness. The lyrics were written by Shawn (Riley) and the title was inspired by some old live Venom recordings."
The Rotted will be releasing the new album "Ad Nauseam" on October 31st via Candlelight Records. The band has now posted a song online from the album titled "Apathy in the UK," which can be heard in the player below. On Wednesday July 6th, Tim Carley, guitarist with The Rotted, severed the top of his finger when a 180kg flight case fell on it from a van. Tim received treatment at a hospital to remove the damaged parts of the finger, including the nail and the torn flesh. The doctors then sewed the remaining parts back together. The incident has left the top of Tim's bone unattached to the rest of his finger, which the doctors have said in time will heal.
In a statement Tim said, "The doctors have told me it will take at least 10 weeks to heal. When I asked her if I could still play the guitar, she replied 'I've heard your records, and to be honest I can't see this making much difference'. The rest of the guys in the band call me Timmy Iommi because of the riffs I wrote for the new album. Today, I got one step closer to walking in the great mans shoes. Unlike half the musicians in Metal magazines I'm not a moaning little girl, so I'm playing Obscene Extreme, Dong Open Air and Bloodstock with 3 fucking fingers and there's nothing that fate, karma and all the other bastards that mock me can do about it. The power of d-beats, blast beats and heavy metal shall never die!"
The accident happened at 11am and by 7pm, Tim was back home and rehearsing for Obscene Extreme Festival which the band will appear at as scheduled this Saturday. You can check out some (very unpleasant) photos of the accident in the video clip below.
Despite doctors orders, Tim and The Rotted will still be playing as scheduled at Obscene Extreme, Dong Open Air, and Bloodstock festivals in the coming weeks.

The Rotted has announced that the band's upcoming new EP "Anarchogram" is currently in the final mixing stages. The cover artwork can be viewed at this location. The Rotted checked in with the following statement about the EP:
"This is an entirely self-funded, self-released EP, and we wanted to keep it as low-price as possible as a thanks to all the good people that have supported us over the years! This is why we're also offering a special offer package deal when you buy the EP and new shirt featuring the artwork, as well as signed copies and free postcards to any orders received prior to the release date!
"Anarchogram features 2 blistering new tracks of Hate-Filled, Punk Infused UK Death Metal, as well as 4 cover songs. Each band member has chosen a song that made them personally want to play this kind of music in the first place, and is our way of paying tribute to the Metal Gods that have inspired us!"
The track listing is as follows: More...
U.K. punk-infused death metallers The Rotted are set to enter the studio in May with producer James Dunkley to record "Anarchogram," a self-released EP comprising of 2 new tracks and 4 bonus tracks. Says guitarist Tim Carley, "These songs are the first we have written with the new line-up and we are really buzzing about letting people hear them! We’ve wanted to do something like this for ages, put out a self-financed DIY release on our own label, like the way we used to more than 10 years ago, before Myspace and Blog sites and all that crap. We’ve got the opportunity to do it this summer and it’s a way for us to give something back to the fans at a low cost."
As bonus tracks, each band member will be picking a song by a band they want to personally pay tribute to, for inspiring them to play extreme music in the first place. "These are just a bit of fun really, and a chance to pay homage to the Metal Messiahs we worshiped during our teenage years. Most musicians have a list of cover songs they'd love to play, and I'm sure you won't be disappointed with our choices!" commented vocalist Ben McCrow.
After the release of the EP this summer The Rotted will continue working on a new full-length album. They plan to enter Parlour Studio in January 2011 with Russ Russell at the production helm. "Anarchogram" is set to be released in Summer 2010 and available via the bands webstore.
British death metal and grindcore legends Bolt Thrower has announced that they want a local band to open for them on their forthcoming tour of the United Kingdom. They will also be joined by Greek black metallers Rotting Christ (as well as The Rotted and British death metal legends Benediction on select dates.) For more information, head over to Terrorizer.com.
Guitarist Tim Carley of The Rotted has issued the following statement about a delay of postcards which feature their "Anarchogram" logo:
"In an annoying example of religion getting in the way of art on even the most basic level, we’ve had the manufacture of some merchandise for the tour delayed! The item in question, the postcards we had planned to give away at the shows next week features our ‘Anarchogram’ logo, and the printers have refused to print them due to the company's ‘Christian faith’. How outdated, mundane, backwards and boring! But its their right and their choice to lose out on some cash, so fuck 'em!!
"The Anarchogram is a logo we use to show our loyalty to, and unity between the metal, punk and hardcore scenes we love! The Anarchogram is a symbol we designed using a pentagram and an anarchy ‘A’ blended together, with the pentagram representing metal and the anarchy ‘A’ representing punk! The slogan ‘No Gods No Governments’ is a statement of intent, basically think for yourselves! Don’t believe the bullshit of religion and don’t believe the scaremongers and liars that run the world. Just try to be an individual and live life your way! Band members and friends of the band have already had the Anarchogram tattooed and we will be adding some tattoo flash (designed by Trudgill) to our websites for anyone to download and get tattooed if they like the idea too! We hope to get the postcards printed elsewhere in time for Sunday and the start of the tour with Alestorm. We had planned to offer them as signed limited edition freebies on the merchandise stalls so hopefully we can still do this. More...
UK metallers The Rotted have issued the following announcement about parting ways with their guitarist:
"The Rotted and Gian Pyres have parted ways this week. Gian was with The Rotted from the start and made some great contributions to the album 'Get Dead Or Die Trying' but now its time for us to go our separate ways. Music and people change over time and there are no hard feelings and no shit between anyone involved! Gian is still actively involved in some other bands and will be back soon! Watch this space... The Rotted will continue as a four piece for the Alestorm tour and other shows in December and January before auditioning new guitarists for album two in 2010."
UK metallers The Rotted have issued the following announcement about playing the Voodoo Rocks Halloween show:
"THE ROTTED to headline Corrosion TV Launch party at the Voodoo Rocks Halloween show! This frightfully good night takes place at Voodoo Rock Club's Halloween event at the Electrowerkz in Angel, London from 10pm - 6am on Friday 30th October.
"Before you are sacrificed by Lord Belial, you will be entertained for one last time by an amazing array of bands: THE ROTTED, No Made Sense, Sacred Mother Tongue, and Your City Is Forgotten. The Fuel Girls will also be titillating you throughout the night with their explicit performances, and tempting you with their naked flesh. Should you feel the need to shake your bones one last time, there will be two dance floors playing the best in rock, metal, and punk. There will also be a chill out room screening some horrific sights to ensure you pass into the next world in the most brutal way."
