Generation Kill Signs With Season Of Mist

Generation Kill has announced its signing with Season of Mist. The signing comes in time for the band to release its debut album, expected to hit store shelves later in the year. Generation Kill features in its ranks Exodus front man Rob Dukes. The band commented on the signing by saying:

"The writing team of Rob Dukes and Rob Moschetti are glad to be working with Season of Mist for the Generation Kill debut album. This release is the most diverse project that either of the two have been a part of.

"This is an honest, no holds barred album containing various styles of music. In a way, it is a bit of a selfish record. We wrote the kind of material that we like. You can't please everybody, so you might as well please yourself. Honestly, that's what true art is. FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION."

Exodus To Perform With Iron Maiden

Exodus guitarist Gary Holt has posted the following update online, on which he comments on the band's forthcoming slot opening for Iron Maiden in Chile.

"There's no one bigger than Iron Maiden in South America. I've seen the DVD footage of their shows down in that part of the world, and to actually get to open for them ANYWHERE is amazing! But down there? Absolutely spectacular!

"We'll be playing Santiago with my heroes — a band whose songs we were covering at backyard parties — in front of 65,000 people! Suddenly we all got a big second wind! Stoked beyond belief is an understatement!"

Exodus will open for Iron Maiden on April 10, 2011 at Estadio Nacional in Santiago, Chile.

Suicidal Angels Issues Tour Recap

Suicidal Angels has checked in with the following recap of the band's recent tour dates:

"Back from the snow! So this is it. Thrashfest 2010 has reached its end and after a difficult journey back home, we have returned to our base loaded with memories of a tour which proved to be the strongest of our career so far!

"Kreator, Exodus and Death Angel, along with us, formed an explosive package that toured around Europe for 24 days, bringing chaos to every city and selling out every show in the best of venues.

"A great honor for us to share the same stage with all these bands and receive thrash lessons every night, looking forward to the moment that we'll meet again on the road! Many thanks to all the crew of the tour that helped us along the way! Thank you David, Pit, Thilo, Gump, Julie, Thomas, Stony, Simon, Merlin, Margarida, Tibo, for giving your best and 100% of what you've got to bring this mission through!

"This tour, these sold out gigs, and the endless after-show parties will never be forgotten... Only way such thing could happen, is by joining new ones! We want to thank all the fans that moshed for us, screamed their lungs out for us, buying ALL our merch and filling the venues even though we were the opening band. Can't wait to see you all in March on our next European tour with Death Angel. Cheers to everyone out there!"

Rock Band Network Adding More Metal Tracks

Sorry Xbox 360 rockers, but not every week can be a winner, and it seems like we're hitting a little dead spot for new metal tracks on the Rock Band Network. The PS3 will get another Exodus track on the 21st, and the Wii edition continues to play catch up with Five Finger Death Punch and Amberian Dawn. The complete list of Xbox 360 tracks added to the Rock Band network this week, including the non-metal songs, is as follows:

Mike Orlando - "Burn"

Terror - "Stick Tight"
