Kaotoxin Records is proud to announce the second release by Kaoskvlt, a new sub-label dedicated to old-school metal gems: Anata‘s 1998 debut full-length, “The Infernal Depths of Hatred,” which will be unleashed on October 21st worldwide for the first time ever on vinyl.
Released through Season of Mist, “The Infernal Depths of Hatred” took the unsuspecting scene by storm in '98 combining a sped up version of the trademark melodic, catchy and uptempo Gothenburg “New Wave of Swedish Death Metal” sound with relentless heavy parts influenced by the rawer, darker and heavier U.S. death metal.
Specially remastered for analog physical supports at the Conkrere studio (Loudblast remasters, Gorod, OTARGOS…) and coming with a bonus Morbid Angel cover version (“Day of Suffering”) taken from Anata’s 1999 “War, vol.II” split with Bethsaida, the brand new 2016 version of the album will be limited to 300 hand-numbered copies and come as a yellow and black marbled 12? vinyl LP.

LION'S SHARE will release the new album in late March 2009 via Blistering Records. Swedish death metal band, ANATA, have released exclusive rough-mix clips from their upcoming new album, which is still in production. Check out the excerpts from the brand new track, "Greed Conquers All" at the band’s MySpace page
Following on from 2006's THE CONDUCTOR'S DEPARTURE, ANATA's as-yet-untitled fifth full-length album is being recorded in two locations. The drums are being recorded at Fascination Street Studios (OPETH, AMON AMARTH, PARADISE LOST) in Orebro, Sweden, while the band have chosen to record the guitars, bass and vocals themselves with their own equipment. The album is due to be released later this year by EARACHE RECORDS. More...
Swedish metallers, Anata, have issued the following update on their MySpace page regarding the departure of guitarist Andreas Allenmark:
"Guitarist Andreas Allenmark, member since -97, has decided to leave Anata. According to the band, his primary reason seems to be that he has lost his passion for playing such technical music. At his last meeting with the band, he is said to have uttered things like 'I just can't do this do myself anymore. I know the timing is very bad indeed, but it's like I don't have a choice. I just can't, sorry guys.' In his own words:"
"Due to personal circumstances I have decided to leave Anata. This truly wasn't an easy decision to make and I really hope all the best for the other guys in the future." More...
Swedish death metal band, ANATA, who are currently recording their as-yet untitled upcoming new album, have decided to purchase studio equipment instead of buying studio time. Vocalist/guitarist FREDRIK SCHALIN comments, "Why waste money in the studio, let's buy their equipment instead!"
SCHALIN and bassist HENRIK DRAKE reveal details of the recording method, some of the band's new bass and guitar gear and info about a new song in their new studio report.
FREDRIK SCHALIN comments: "On the previous album, we chose to record only clean, lined guitar tracks. We did this in order to make up the final sound later, in a process called re-amping. Although the sound may have ended up a bit too mellow on that album, the recording technique is ingenious. And since we always throw the studio guys out anyway (and do all the tracking ourselves), we thought this time we should instead set up a temporary recording unit at my place. So we bought the Motu 2408 sound card we had previously used in Studiomega, set some computers and pre-amps up and started recording." More...
Swedish death metal masters ANATA have posted an update from the studio on the recording process of their upcoming new album.
ANATA drummer CONNY PETTERSSON gives the final update regarding the recording of the drums in his studio diary:
"This was the final recording day. We started by changing the snare head and Jens tuned all the drums into perfection as every other day. I had two tracks left to do. I started with Greed conquers all; the first track written for this album. It's a fast killer track and also one of my favourites. It has a small part sometime after its first guitar solo, where the drums and guitars go a little crazy. We did several takes for this part and both Fredrik and I thought it sounded as it should. Jens still wanted me to play more and more and Fredrik said: "I think Conny have done 5 or 6 perfect takes now in a row, I can't hear what is wrong." But Jens is not satisfied with everything only being in time; he also wants the drums to sound right in a way we couldn't understand. Fredrik went nervous and walked out of the control room. And I struggled some more and suddenly Jens was happy. We have always believed that we were the worst perfectionists possible, and people would tell us; "No one will hear the difference anyway." But now it was the other way around."
Sweden's Cipher System has announced the addition of guitar player Andreas Allenmark (Anata) to their line-up. The band comments:
"We would like tho start this news with a big 'thank you' to everyone who were interested in this position. A great amount of people from the whole world (at least all continents) has sent in questions and wanted to be a part. Thanks for even caring about our shitty little meaningless band. Now, what we wanted was to have a guy that has been in the game for a while, and has his shit together musically. Also, we wanted him to live close so we can meet up without any problems. [Andreas] fits in this description perfectly, as he has been touring a lot with Anata, recording a couple of albums and lives really close by. We are more than happy to welcome him and his amazing guitar skills to the band."
Just last month, the band announced the addition of Andreas Solveström (Within Y) to their line-up as their new vocalist.
Swedish death metal band STARTERHEAD has posted the song "The Last Words" on its MySpace profile. The track comes off the group's forthcoming album, titled "Undergrounding", which was produced by Jens Bogren (OPETH, KATATONIA). ANATA's Conny Pettersson performs drums on the CD.
The band is currently looking for a record label to release "Undergrounding".
Formed in 2002, STARTERHEAD released its full-length debut, "Inside", in April 2006 through Indark Music.

Swedish tech-death maestros Anata made their US debut appearance at the Maryland Deathfest over the weekend of May 27 and 28, alongside Earache labelmates Severe Torture and Municipal Waste.
According to one audience member "Anata had a bigger audience than any other band; bigger than Vital Remains, bigger than Dismember and Necrophagist. The place was packed!"
Vocalist and band mastermind Fredrik Schälin enthused; "The reactions from the crowd was great, both on stage and afterwards. Lots of photos of us were shot and albums signed. A lot of fans told us that we were the main reason for them going to the festival. Even some of the other bands (Neuraxis, Alarum) were thrilled to meet us. But this was of course mutual, both great bands".... "We were blown away!"
The band's new album, "The Conductor's Departure" is due out via Wicked World on June 19.

Death metal band Anata have entered Studiomega in Sweden to begin recording a new album for Earache Records. Here's what Anata frontman Fredrik Schalin has to say about the effort:
"At the moment, the working title for this album is 'The Conductor's Departure.' It symbolises the losing of control of your own life. You have all these abilities and potential, but it's all going to waste because you can't make something out of it. Like an orchestra without the conductor, hence the title! In general this album will be a lot faster, but it also has a lot of slower, heavy and groovy sections. When it comes to brutality, impact and assault, I think most people should know what to expect from Anata. It will be brutal as hell, but it's also much more interesting when it comes to harmonies."
Fresh from their debut European tour with DISMEMBER, technical Death Metal destroyers Anata have begun to think about the follow up record to Under A Stone With No Inscription, with all the material apparently written and arranged. Recording is scheduled to take place in June, with a possible release in line for October 2005.
In the meantime the band have sent this message thanking the fans for their support during the tour:
“Anata are back from a 4-week European tour. Anata would like to thank the ultra-cool guys in Dismember, Psycroptic, Soul Demise and Fall Of Serenity for making this tour such a pleasant trip. But most of all, we would like to thank all the people who came to see the shows, you people rule! Thanks for your support, we hope to see you all again!”
"Hey there! Sorry for delay... I've been extremely busy with all the organisation for the new album. Good news is that DVD is finally available. Check out at your local stores. This week we are filming the first video for "Conquer All" song. Joanna Rechnio is taking care of the production and I can't wait to see the final result. I'm sure it will kill... and finally we got some tour dates announced too. I'm really happy things are so hectic...it's gonna be the most intense live activities we've ever been part of...See ya on tour then!" said Nergal about Behemoth's recent moves.
