Freshly back from the Darkest Tour with CRADLE OF FILTH, GORGOROTH, MOONSPELL and SEPTICFLESH, Dutch goth metallers ASRAI wrote the following report of this European tour that took place in December, ending in an unexpected way:
"We were looking forward to this tour for a long time. Finally the Darkest Tour kicked off on Monday December 1st. Early in the morning together with our tour manager and driver we headed in our van to London, where we would meet everybody and go on the tour bus. Everything went well from Calais to Dover, until we got stuck in traffic. And soon we heard that we were not the only ones... Time was not our friend, so when we heard that there was a possibility that one of the bands couldn't play we drove like maniacs through the streets of London. We arrived with adrenaline rushing though our veins, although it didn't help us much... We heard that one band couldn't play... And in this case it was us... Well at least we had all the time to watch all the shows and enjoyed being there.
"So when after the shows finally 52 people and all the stuff found their way in four tour busses, one truck and a trailer we were ready to go to Paris... Peter brought back our van, ready to meet us at 013. After a bumpy ride we woke up in Paris, with one eye open we saw the Sacré-Coeur de Montmartre and it was time to get up... First we drove straight up to a parking space near the Seine, so there was enough room at the Bataclan to unload the truck. After a glance at the Seine we went back to the bus, up to the Bataclan, where a queue was waiting. The venue was beautiful and the breakfast was nice and more than welcome, giving everybody the time to know one another. Hard work to set everything up on time but it was all worth it. The audience was great and it was nice to finally meet the people from SOM. More...

VADER, SEPTICFLESH, ZONARIA and GILLA BRUJA will team up for a European tour between October 17 and November 2. Exact cities and dates will be announced soon.
VADER will play an exclusive show in Egypt on April 11 at La Villa Club in Kair at. Support at the concert will come from local acts WORM and DARK PHILOSOPHY. The show will be organized by Music Gates agency.
Commented Mariusz Kmiolek of the Polish booking agency Massive Music: "That will be definitely an exciting outing, VADER have never played in Egypt and frankly speaking, we feel almost like pioneers trying to put up a death metal flag on a 'no-man's-land.' We have some doubts (concerning safety and gig's organization) but hopefully the organizers of the show will do the best to make this show an unforgettable experience both for the fans and the band. We are going to play a great concert for a great audience and be back home safe and sound."
Two weeks before the Egypt concert, VADER will embark on a tour of South America, playing 10 shows with MARDUK in such countries as Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela.
A brand new track from the reunited Greek demons SEPTICFLESH (now written as one word), entitled "Anubis", has been posted on the band's MySpace page. The song comes off the group's new album, "Communion", which was released in Europe on March 17 (March 25 in the U.S.) via Season of Mist.
According to a press release, "Communion" "contains nine gates to unearthly dreams and nightmares. The 'rituals' of 'Communion' took place in the famous Studio Fredman in Sweden. The massive heavy guitar sound of the album is supported by a haunting triumphant orchestration that surpasses every past attempt of the band on that field. The classical arrangements are composed and directed by Chris Antoniou (guitar) and performed by the 80-piece full orchestra and 32-piece choir of philharmonic orchestra of Prague. As a result the music besides being brutal is also very 'visual,' like the soundtrack of an occult movie projected straight to your mind. Concerning the vocals, Seth is growling as a hellish beast in contrast with the melodic, yet intense and emotive vocals of Sotiris V. This album is definitely the more dark, brutal and at the same time avant-garde release of the band to date, crossing the borders of death and black metal. Yes, this album is not recommended to people resonating with holy ideals and bright emotions." More...
