Below is our complete Septicflesh news coverage, including columns and articles pertaining to the band. Some articles listed may be indirectly related, such as side projects of the band members, etc.

The Greek demons in Septicflesh just entered Devasoundz Studios in Athens in order to record their ninth album, the follow-up to 2011’s "The Great Mass" (reviewed here).
This forthcoming as-yet-untitled opus, should be out before summer 2014. The band will once more use the musical skills of the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.
In the meantime, the reissue of Septicflesh’s 1998 classic, "A Fallen Temple," will hit stores on January 17th (January 21st in North America), 2014.
Just like with "Mystic Places of Dawn," "Esoptron," and "Ophidian Wheel," this remastered re-release will include bonus tracks and will be adorned with a brand new cover artwork designed by Septicflesh frontman Seth Siro Anton.
The Greek symphonic death metal act Septicflesh has entered Devasoundz Studios in Athens to record 10 songs that will appear on a new, as-yet-untitled full-length album, the follow-up to 2011 release “The Great Mass” (reviewed here).
This time around, the band will record with producer and former Machine Head guitarist Logan Mader (Cavalera Conspiracy, Fear Factory, Gojira) while once again collaborating with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition, the group will also utilize full regular and children’s choirs on the new album.
The band’s new album is scheduled to be released in North America via Prosthetic Records in early 2014.
Following the release of latest full-length "The Great Mass" (reviewed here), Septicflesh's previous albums have been seeing re-issues via Season of Mist.
"Ophidian Wheel," the third installment in a series of five deluxe re-issues, will hit stores on October 25th (October 29th in North America) in a remastered edition including three previously unreleased bonus tracks. Below is the brand new cover artwork, designed by Septicflesh vocalist/bassist Seth Siro Anton himself.
"Ophidian Wheel," which follows "Mystic Places of Dawn" and "Esoptron" (both reissued earlier this year), marked a critical turning point in the band's career upon its release in 1997. On this album, the Greek demons further expanded their musical vocabulary, and added female soprano vocalist Natalie Rassoulis. "Ophidian Wheel" sees the band moving even further into the symphonic-laden and classically-tinged metal arrangements that have become their calling card. More...

Enhanced with three previously unreleased bonus tracks and a brand new cover artwork designed by Septicflesh frontman Seth Siro Anton himself, the reissue of "Ophidian Wheel" will be available on October 25th (October 29th in North America) on CD and various LP editions.

Belphegor has commissioned Greek artist Seth Siro Anton (Septicflesh) for the band's new album artwork. Seth has already started working on the cover art and he comments:
"It will be a great challenge creating the artwork for Belphegor's new masterpiece. My mission is clear, creating the most disturbing artwork I have ever made!"
Belphegor's Helmuth comments: "It’s good to have Seth recruited again. He did the 'PESTAPOKALYPSE VI' graphics back in 2006. The lyrical content deals with blasphemy, exorcism, and blackest romantic. He´s the perfect choice for the atmosphere we are looking for."

I hadn't seen Children of Bodom live since the band opened for Megadeth back in 2008, so of course I was anxious to see the group play again. The fact that Children of Bodom was playing with Devin Townsend and Septicflesh just made this show that much harder to overlook. Plus the fact that The House of Blues has a great location and is known for providing great sound quality sweetened the deal.
After meeting an interviewing Devin Townsend himself for an interview that will be posted shortly, as well as getting my Strapping Young Lad collection signed, I unfortunately had to deal with The House of Blues draconian security, which required me to leave the backstage area, get a ticket after being confirmed to be on the guest list, head to the back of the line and then reenter the venue. So I'd personally like the thank the management, box office, and security for helping the most impatient man you'll ever meet reenter a venue that he already had access to.
Thankfully this was only a mere hour-long inconvenience and I was able to enter the venue in time to see Septicflesh. While I actually enjoy Septicflesh's albums, their stage show needs a bit of work. It's too theatrical and artificial. The mic stand shaped like a Lovcraftian Eldrich Abomination as well as Spiros Antoniou's overly flamboyant stage presence crossed the line between enthralling and distracting for me. The band needs to tone things down a bit if it wants to be taken seriously, particularly in the North American market in which things are far less pretentious than the band's native Europe. More...
