The Wild West Metalfest Rides into Tucson, AZ

The Wild West Metalfest rode into town with seven of the hottest hardcore/metal bands of the Wild West. Featuring Arizona acts - Grudgeholder, Animus Divine, You Apart, Scorned Embrace, Parasite, Fracture Point, and Silent Bliss.

The pre-sales for this show cost $7 and it was one of those great concerts you can see in almost every corner of the U.S. that won't break your bank account and in the process you'll see some great up and coming acts. The promoters for the Wild West Metalfest let me know they'd be taking the show on the road this fall/winter, so if you get a chance to see this tour or the bands involved, do yourselves a favor and check them out. You won't be sorry. More...

Fracture Point Hard At Work On Debut Album

Phoenix, Arizona-based metal band FRACTURE POINT is currently in the studio recording its debut album, "Inherit the Downfall", for a May release. Guitarist Matt Hobart says, "We've been through a lot of lineup changes since the beginning so it got in the way of ever recording a full-length. Now that we have a good following and money to invest we're doing it right. We've spent the last year and a half writing the sickest riffs we could conjure up, and now the wait was worth it cause our album's gonna crush."

Producer Cory Spotts (JOB FOR A COWBOY, KNIGHTS OF THE ABYSS) comments: "I was really surprised by how the band stepped it up from their previous material. They've taken a much more aggressive and technical approach and it sounds amazing."
