Maryland Deathfest 2012 Final Bands Confirmed

The tenth annual Maryland Deathfest is set to take place in Baltimore, Maryland on May 24-27, 2012 and the final 12 bands were recently announced. They are:

BRUJERIA (Mexico)
AGALLOCH
ARCHGOAT (Finland)
YOB
DYING FETUS
BLACK WITCHERY
UNANIMATED (Sweden)
RORSCHACH
MORGION
NEEDFUL THINGS (Czech Republic)
DIE PIGEON DIE (Australia)
EXTERMINATION ANGEL

Additionally, the organizers have announced the lineup for the first day (Thursday). AUTOPSY will be headlining this day and the rest of the bands playing will be: AGALLOCH, EYEHATEGOD, RORSCHACH, DYING FETUS, DESASTER, NEEDFUL THINGS, DIE PIGEON DIE, and EXTERMINATION ANGEL.

Four-day passes (Thursday-Sunday) and 3-day passes (Friday-Sunday) will go on sale on Monday, September 26th. Single day tickets for Thursday will also go on sale on the 26th. More...

Unanimated To Play Nacht Der Drohenden Schatten

Sweden's Unanimated have announced they will be appearing at the 2010 edition of the Nacht der Drohenden Schatten VIII Festival festival. The festival is set to take place in Speyer, Germany on February 27th, 2010. Other confirmed bands include Ofermod, Christicide, Dusken, Pest, Nefastt, and Malhkebre. Unanimated Announces Release Date For New Album

After recently posting the entire album online for streaming, Unanimated has announced that their new album, entitled "In Light Of Darkness" will be released sometime in April/May 2009. A new UNANIMATED song has been posted on their label's MySpace page. The track is called "Serpents Curse" from UNANIMATED's upcoming album "In The Light Of Darkness," which will be released in April via Regain Records.

Unanimated Readies New Album

UNANIMATED, the reunited Swedish melodic death metal band featuring former members of ENTOMBED and DISMEMBER, will release its new album, "In The Light Of Darkness (The Covenant Of Death)", in April via Regain Records. The CD was mixed by Tore Stjerna at Necromorbus Studios (WATAIN, FUNERAL MIST). The album layout was handled by Erik Danielsson (WATAIN).

UNANIMATED's first two albums - 1993's "In the ..Forest.. of the Dreaming Dead" and 1995's "Ancient God of Evil" - were remastered and re-released in June 2008 with bonus tracks.

Unanimated Finishes Recording New Album

"Its been quiet from Unanimated for awhile now, so i though it would be time to break the silence and let you all know whats been going on.....

"First i wanna thank everybody how came out to the reunion shows we did this past summer, the show in Stockholm was a night of magic and ment alot for us...And for the first time to play in Germany at Party San festival was a great experience. We truly enjoyed being on stage together again aftrer such long break...14 fucking years!

"So what the hell happened to the Re-Releases.....? The two albums "In the forest of the dreaming dead" and "Ancient god of evil" was intended to be released last July, right before our live performances. But due to a bunch of bullshit and legal matters, that was put on hold....(I will get back with more information about this later.) Everything is now sorted out and new release dates are being set for March. The two albums have new layouts, additional music and have been re-mastered...Sounds and look amazing! It was worth while to have this done, fans of these two records will definitely not get disappointed. More...

Unanimated Signs To Regain Records

Regain Records announces the signing of Swedish UNANIMATED. The band is currently mastering their first two albums (“In The Forest Of The Dreaming Dead” & “Ancient God Of Evil”), which will be re-released with bonus-tracks in June through Regain Records. The band will enter the studio during the summer to record a brand new full-length album.

Their line-up currently is as follows:
Micke Jansson (Celestial Pain)- Vocals
Johan Bolin - Guitars
Richard Cabeza (ex-Dismember)- bass
Peter Stjärnvind (Entombed)- Drums

Unanimated Regroups, Writing New Music

Apparently having reunited and writing new music together, classic Swedish death metal combo UNANIMATED posted the following statement on their homepage:

"Some brief information on was going on in the Unanimated camp!

"For the past two weeks I have had very good and promising conversations with the boys back in Stockholm. We are getting the final pieces together and we are all on the same page on whats need to be done, more and more music is written...Peter sent me two new songs today and Jojje is writing again like he hasn't in years, and talking to Mike... he is working on lyrics....It feels good!

"Its like it's 1994 again hehehe! We are very excited and ambitious to start the recording proses for the new album. If everything goes as planed(like it never does) we are planing to start this summer with the recording.

"The merchandise that i promised to have available now is slightly delayed, I Having some design issues. But all this should be sorted out within the next week. I will let ya'll know when the merchandise is ready and available.

"Until next time....
