Guns N Roses Confirmed For Graspop 2012

The organisers of Belgium's largest heavy metal festival, Graspop Metal Meeting, have announced that American rock legends Guns N Roses will be wrapping the festival up this year, as they will be headlining the event on Sunday 24th. The organisers have also announced that As I Lay Dying has had to pull out of the festival after cancelling their European tour, but also confirmed that Cannibal Corpse, Machine Head, Gotthard, Adrenaline Mob, Sebastian Bach, Black Veil Brides and The Treatment will perform at the festival. Graspop Metal Meeting will take place in Dessel, Belgium from June 22nd - 24th and will feature the following lineup, with more to be announced shortly:

Five More Names Confirmed For Graspop 2012

The organisers of Belgium's largest heavy metal festival, Graspop Metal Meeting, has announced a further five bands for this year's edition of the event. American thrash metal legends Megadeth will be performing, as will stoner rock kings Kyuss Lives!, death metal pioneers Possessed, English alternative rock outfit Young Guns and, making their fourth appearance at the festival, Jon Olivia's Pain. Hatebreed Video Interview Posted Online

97.9 WGRD Radio has posted a video interview online with Jamey Jasta from Hatebreed, which can be found below. The interview was conducted while Hatrebreed was on the "Share The Welt" tour at the DeltaPlex Arena in Grand Rapids.

Lamb Of God Announces South American Shows

Lamb of God continues the international part of the band's 2012/13 Resolution tour with seven South American shows and one show in Mexico. Support on all shows will come from Hatebreed with Lacuna Coil added to the bill in Brazil, Argentina, and Chile. Dates are as follows:

The organisers of the British, Bloodstock Open Air festival have announced that a further three bands have now been confirmed for next years event. Namely, The Black Dahlia Murder, Grand Magus and the recently reformed Sanctuary. The festival will take place from August 10th - 12th at Catton Hall in Walton On Trent, Derbyshire, England.

Alice Cooper To Headline Bloodstock 2012

The organizers of Britain's Bloodstock Open Air festival have announced that American shock rock king Alice Cooper will be headlining the main stage next year, in what will be his only British festival performance. Festival booker Vicky Gregory comments:

"As Bloodstock organizers but more importantly Huge fans of Alice Cooper, we are thrilled to have such an iconic artist close proceedings on the Sunday night! We have been after Alice for a number of years and are extremely excited to see him grace the Ronnie James Dio stage and guarantee this will be a performance not to be missed."

More Bands Confirmed For Bloodstock 2012

The organisers of the United Kingdom's Bloodstock Open Air festival has announced a further four confirmations for next year's edition of the event, which previously announced that Anvil, Paradise Lost, Orange Goblin and Watain will be performing in 2012. The new additions for the main stage are Norwegian symphonic black metal outfit Dimmu Borgir, Hatebreed and Corrosion Of Conformity, while Anaal Nathrakh will be performing on the Sophie Lancaster Stage. The event is scheduled to take place at Catton Hall, Derbyshire from August 10th-12th.

More Bands Confirmed For Soundwave Festival 2012

Although it wasn't expected until December, the organizers of Australia's Soundwave Festival have made their second band announcement. Joining the 60 bands already announced are Staind, Wednesday 13, Unearth, Cathedral, Shadows Fall, Heaven Shall Burn, Your Demise, Kittie, and 14 other (mostly non-metal) bands.

Hole has pulled out of the festival after frontwoman Courtney Love refused to play before Limp Bizkit. Soundwave boss AJ Maddah said on Twitter that he was "relieved we got the moody old cow off the bill. [There’s] no point talking her back, only for her to cancel later, or turn up & act like a rotten twat to other artists, fans, etc."

A third announcement in early December will add another five bands to the lineup, and Danzig is one of the confirmed possibilities. More...

Soundwave 2012 Lineup Announced

Organizers of the Australian Soundwave Festival have made the first official lineup announcement. Joining the reformed Coal Chamber as previously reported will be headline acts System Of A Down, Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, Marilyn Manson, Machine Head, Lamb Of God and Trivium as well as 53 other bands.

Bands of particular interest to metal fans include Devin Townsend Project, Dillinger Escape Plan, Black Label Society, Mastodon, Steel Panther, Meshuggah, Hatebreed, Biohazard, Dragonforce, Gojira, Kvelertak, Hellyeah, Chimaira, Watain, and Turisas.

"Due to circumstances beyond our control, Hatebreed will not be playing Carnival of Chaos Thursday, August 18th, instead Hatebreed will be doing a free show, that's right, a free show in it's place at Intersection. Alice Cooper, Slash And More Remember Jani Lane

Following the recent announcement of the death of former Warrant singer, Jani Lane, a number of his peers have posted messages of condolence online. Some of the tributes read as follows:

Five Finger Death Punch Announces New Tour Dates

After recently posting the new single "Under it and Over it" online, Five Finger Death Punch has now announced it will headlining the "Share the Welt" tour this fall. The tour is in support of the band's upcoming third album, "American Capitalist," which hits stores on October 11th, 2011.

Heading out to support Five Finger Death Punch on the tour are All That Remains, Hatebreed, and Rev Theory. More dates are set to be announced in September, so stay tuned for updates. See below for all current tour dates.
