Below is our complete Hatebreed news coverage, including columns and articles pertaining to the band. Some articles listed may be indirectly related, such as side projects of the band members, etc.

Connecticut hardcore icons Hatebreed will release their new studio album "The Divinity Of Purpose" in Europe on January 25th, 2013. This is Hatebreed's sixth album to date and first for new label partners Nuclear Blast in Europe and various additional international territories and Razor & Tie in North America (January 29th, 2013).
The band is also pleased to reveal the new album cover artwork for "The Divinity Of Purpose“ which was created by Eliran Kantor (Testament, Sodom, Atheist). "The Divinity Of Purpose" was co-produced by Hatebreed, Zeuss (Suicide Silence, All That Remains), and Josh Wilbur (Lamb of God, Avenged Sevenfold). Wilbur also handled mixing duties on the new record.
The forthcoming new album will be supported by extensive global touring that will stretch well into 2014. Hatebreed is currently touring the U.S. with Lamb of God, In Flames, and label mates Sylosis. In January 2013, the band will headline the EMP Persistence Tour in Europe (tour dates below). More...

10:00am. “Waking up” is one thing. “Getting up” is something else. These festivals involve a continuous stream of physical self-abuse of one kind or another – usually both, and more.
I drag myself like a cranky newborn from my tent and stretch, feeling drawn and quartered. By now, I have no problem pulling out my unit and pissing in the open air, on the slight hill next to our Embassy. Bashfulness went right out the window a while ago. More...
Razor & Tie announces the addition of Hatebreed to its North American label roster. The band has completed work on its forthcoming new studio album which will be released in January, 2013 on Razor & Tie in United States/Canada and on Nuclear Blast in Europe and various additional international territories.
The new album will be the band's 6th official album to date, and the follow up to Hatebreed's self-titled album and also the covers album, "For The Lions" (both released in 2009). Hatebreed lead vocalist Jamey Jasta comments, "We're really excited to be working with such great people at both Razor & Tie and Nuclear Blast. We've made an awesome album and we're chomping at the bit to get it out and hit the road. Global domination begins now."
In a joint statement, Pete Giberga VP of A&R and John Franck SVP of Marketing for Razor & Tie comment, "Hatebreed's anthems coupled with their do-or-die work ethic continues to make them a dominant force in hardcore and metal today. Their inclusionary message and deep relationship with their fan-base also makes them a band that is built for these times. With the group playing some of the best shows of its career, their renewed sense of purpose has never sounded more steadfast and resolute than it does on this forthcoming new record."
The forthcoming new album was co-produced by Hatebreed, Zeuss (Suicide Silence, All That Remains, Shadows Fall), and Josh Wilbur (Lamb of God, Avenged Sevenfold). Wilbur also handled mixing duties on the new record. The new studio album will be supported by extensive global touring that will stretch well into 2014. More...
Beefy funny man, Billy Milano once said “Skinheads and bangers and punks stand as one Crossover to a final scene.” This insight he offered on S.O.D.’s 1985 release “Speak English or Die” would serve as a rallying cry for hardcore punks and metal heads to come together. Not only did this song help create a mindset for bringing together two scenes; it also constructed a formula for the two styles to merge. Known simply as metalcore or crossover, the term came to describe how hardcore bands added metal’s solos and heft to their arrangements, while thrash absorbed the speed, attitude and brevity of hardcore to their compositions.
Milano also claimed “It’s not the way you wear your hair, it’s what’s inside of you.” Even though these words ring true twenty-seven years after publication, and so often we see the two lines blurring together, hair styles have pretty much remained the same (minus poodle hair and mullets). Short hair, often bald or spiky, is still relegated to punks, while long hair is a feature of head bangers. Regardless of attitude and opposition to the mainstream, many punks and metal heads prefer to segregate.
After hearing an inspiring hardcore/crossover album from "The Casualties" and attending festivals such as Fun Fun Fun Fest and Chaos in Tejas that mesh metal and hardcore in the last year, I felt the need to research and write an article on the history of this topic. Through the usual resource of the Internet, Ian Christe’s book “Sound of the Beast: The Complete Headbanging History of Heavy Metal” and a first person source, I hope to shed light on this phenomenon. In the following article, we will look at the interchangeable qualities of punk and metal, as well as delving into each style’s social constraints. We will look at the bands that started this movement and analyze how the art form has evolved. Ready yourself for a crash course on punk-thrash crossover movement. More...

Last week Anti-Defamation League (ADL) director Lonnie Nasatir posted an opinion article on CNN about white power bands, which mistakenly included the metal act Hatebreed in a list of racism promoting groups. CNN removed the reference to Hatebreed in the article later that day and issued a retraction stating the band's inclusion was an error.
The ADL has now sent a letter of apology to Hatebreed, which can be viewed below. The band commented on twitter:
It was recently revealed that the alleged Wisconsin shooter, who reportedly wounded and killed several people at a Sikh temple, was a member of white supremacist band End Apathy. Since then CNN has posted an opinion piece about white power bands written by Lonnie Nasatir, who is the director of the Anti-Defamation League's Upper Midwest Region.
In the article Hatebreed was included in a list of white power bands, which is a charge the group denies. CNN apparently realized the error or was contacted by people upset about the claim, as Hatebreed's name has now been removed from the list and the bottom of the article includes the following update:
A previous version of this commentary incorrectly included the band Hatebreed in a list of white power bands. Hatebreed is a self-described "hardcore metal" band. CNN regrets the error.
The retraction came after Hatebreed posted the following message on Twitter:
"Again @CNN loses all respect. First they ignore the #FREERANDYBLYTHE story now they slander us. We demand a retraction & an apology. #hacks"

This year's edition of the U.K. Bloodstock Open Air Festival is set to take place from August 9th - 12th, with full details available at the festival's website here. The organizers of BOA 2012 have now posted a teaser trailer for the event, which can be viewed below.
The Bloodstock 2012 organizers have issued the following announcement about confirming more bands to appear at this year's festival:
"After last week’s headliner announcement - where we revealed the mighty Machine Head will be letting fans pick the songs at their first ever UK festival headline slot - Bloodstock and Machine Head are now ready to take requests.
"If you head to Facebook you can now submit your suggestions via a poll. Each fan can pick five songs from Machine Head’s incredible debut 'Burn My Eyes,' and the five most popular tracks will be performed at Catton Hall this summer.
"Bloodstock can also reveal a further three acts for the Sophie Stage and one for the Ronnie James Dio Stage. Headlining the Sophie Stage on Thursday night, raucous rockers Viking Skull bring their loud and proud metal to Bloodstock, alongside Belfast metalheads Sweet Savage. Hotly tipped newcomers Death Valley Knights show why in just a few short months their powerful metal has earned them a much coverted spot at Britain’s most metal festival, and finally Canada’s Kobra & The Lotus make their Bloodstock debut opening the Ronnie James Dio Stage on Sunday." The 2012 edition of the Bloodstock Open Air festival will take place this coming August 9th - 12th, and the organizers of the festival have now issued the following statement about confirming Machine Head:
"It is with tremendous excitement that we can now reveal our final headliner to be Oakland metal titans Machine Head, who will make their first ever UK festival headlining appearance on Saturday, August 11th on the RONNIE JAMES DIO main stage.
"Machine Head first graced UK shores in the wake of their landmark debut album 'Burn My Eyes' in 1994 as main support to Slayer. Fan reaction to Machine Head’s signature brand of crushing metal was so intense that the band would return immediately afterward to headline their own sold-out shows at many of the same venues, launching a massive swell of passionate fan support that continues to this day.
"Seven albums, a Grammy nomination and countless tours later, UK fans continue to champion and support Machine Head as feverishly as they did at those first shows, and this year, at Bloodstock Open Air 2012, they will be given the unprecedented opportunity to influence Machine Head’s set list!
"Commemorating the 20th anniversary of Machine Head’s first-ever live performance at their roadie Mike Scum's getting-evicted-from-his-house party - for which they performed five songs – Bloodstocker ticket holders will be given the opportunity to vote for the five 'Burn My Eyes' songs they most want to hear Machine Head play during their headline set Saturday night, with the five that receive the most votes included in the set list (details to follow)!
"Anyone that’s ever witnessed Machine Head live will attest to the fact that the raw, unbridled energy of their performance is unlike anything else you’ll ever see. With countless legendary UK performances already on record, and a first-ever fan-influenced setlist, it goes without saying that Machine Head’s headline set at Bloodstock Open Air 2012 is going to go down in metal history as one of those festival performances that you’ll forever be glad you got to see. Keep an eye on the official Bloodstock Facebook page for your chance to vote on the songs YOU want to hear."

The Bloodstock 2012 organizers have announced a further three acts for the Sophie stage at this year's festival.
Returning to Catton Hall, Witchsorrow threatens the British summer time with downtuned doom and gloom that echoes metal greats such as St Vitus, Candlemass and Trouble. Says mainman Necro Skull: "We are truly honoured to be returning to cast a shadow over Bloodstock once more. We promise you total doom annihilation, a celebration for the damned as the end of the world looms at the end of this wretched annum. To be in the company of such excellent bands as Watain, Alice Cooper, Orange Goblin, Grand Magus and Winterfylleth is a grand thing indeed. God curse us, every one!"
Returning for the second year in a row, London loud-louts Dripback take a break from the studio to come back to the Sophie stage with their seething mix of hardcore and death metal. The band commented, “For us it’s all about being intense in tents, so this really is the perfect festival slot for Dripback. We’re all so buzzing about playing with Crowbar, Hatebreed, Testament and all the other awesome bands, this really is the best festival."
Finally, Swiss thrashers Battalion make their UK debut at Bloodstock. The Thrash Maniacs check in to say: “It's the first time for us to play in England! What a fucking start! We're looking forward to kick some ass there!!! See ya Bloodstock! Cheers from Zurich, the Battalion-Bastards.”
Finnish pagan metal outfit Moonsorrow and German power metal group Freedom Call have been confrmed as the latest two bands to take part in this years edition of the British metal festival, Bloodstock Open Air, which will take place at Catton Hall in Walton On Trent, Derbyshire from August 10th-12th.
Speaking on the confirmation, Moonsorrow stated: "We are truly excited to take part in Bloodstock Festival 2012. It's been way too long since we played on the British soil in 2008 and we know that lately there has been a huge demand for Moonsorrow to play in the UK. So, all our loyal fans in the UK, we want to see a massive crowd of insane berserks during our set. Don't let us down because we promise we don't let you down, cheers!"
Freedom Call added: "The Bloodstock Festival is the pulsating heart of Heavy Metal...a great audience, which knows exactly to revel."
The lineup for the festival is now as follows: More...

With a plethora of metal talent already on offer - including Alice Cooper, Behemoth, Dimmu Borgir, Testament, Hatebreed and loads more - Bloodstock Open Air has another addition to it’s main stage, in the form of New Orleans sludge-monsters Crowbar. The organizers of the festival commented:
"The epitome of heavy, Kirk Windstein and co have been showing the world that speed isn’t everything since their debut 'Obedience Thru Suffering' stunned the metal world in 1991 with its downtuned, slow-paced yet punishingly heavy sound. With nine studio albums under their very large belts, Crowbar have mastered the art of the riff, continually delivering irresistible sludgey metal via a sound uniquely their own. With mammoth sludgey slabs such as 'I Despise,' 'All I Had (I Gave),' 'Time He’s Nothing,' 'Like Broken Glass,' 'Nothing' and many more, the Ronnie James Dio Stage will be put to the test at Crowbar’s only UK festival of 2012.
"Over on the Sophie stage, additions come in the form of homegrown extreme symphonic metallers and Metal 2 The Masses winners Saturnian, fellow countrymen and Melo-death thrashers Bloodshot Dawn, as well as Finnish melodic death metallers Re-Armed."
Hatebreed's Matt Byrne and God Forbid’s Corey Pierce will take part in a special drum clinic presented by The Collective on Thursday, April 19th at The Collective School of Music in New York City.
The clinic will begin at 7pm and admission is $15. To purchase tickets, please call 212-741-0091 ex100. For more information, visit this location.
It can also be announced that Hatebreed has begun pre-production on the band's upcoming album. The band is currently on tour in South America and will resume production after the aforementioned clinic. More...
