Long-running Celtic metal act WAYLANDER were reunited with former band member and editor of Ireland's Metalworks magazine, Martin MacCormaic, for a memorable set at the fourth installment of Ireland's Day of Darkness festival on July 9. Also performing at the festival were doom titans MOURNING BELOVETH, whose powerful performance on the day included tracks from the band's recently released third album, "A Murderous Circus". The festival was headlined by black metal legends ROTTING CHRIST. The four-piece celebrated their first-ever performance on Irish soil and delivered a rousing performance that served as a fitting end to the days proceedings.

April3rd: "Well, Megadeth will be playing Greece this summer. Both Athens and Thessaloniki. Although it is not yet on the Killing Road the company that organizes the concert announced that the support act for the gig in Athens will be the Greek black metal band Rotting Christ. We all know Dave's beliefs and his opinion about black metal. Rotting Christ, as you can easily understand, don't actually go to church every Sunday, instead they had taken part in the 'Fuck Christ Tour' along with Mayhem and other Satanic bands a few years ago. Hey, Dave, do you mind them opening for you?"
Dave Mustaine: "Well, if they are on it, I certainly don't want to kick them off. We will just have to pass and play Greece another time or place. I have informed my management and they know what I feel."

Then Vader is going to record a brand new MCD (Hertz Studio), right before their tour along with Rotting Christ and Anorexia Nervosa under the name of "Blitzkrieg 3" (September). The next US tour will come right after September's invasion, containing about 30 dates along with Decapitated and two other bands.
