Norwegian metal band, In Vain, has issued the following update:
"Together with Evan Seleven, Thelma & Clyde, Salvador and Anne Marie Almedal, In vain will play a short show at Kick in Kristiansand Saturday the 22nd of August. This is the final in a competition for winning a scholarship launched by Rock-City Kristiansand amounting to as much as 400 000 NOK. The whole concert is free!"
Norway's In Vain have issued the following update on their new album:
"After much work during Christmas we are 98% done and only small corrections remain. Our new album will be entitled 'Mantra' and it will feature 7 songs with a playing time of more or less an hour. As previously mentioned, we will also include a video of the recording and other stuff. More news on artwork, mastering and last but not least, music will hopefully be available in not too long. We have worked quite a lot on this album and hope you will enjoy it." More...
Norwegian metallers In Vain has posted the following update online:
"I travelled home in October/November and spent approx 10 days in the studio. We got quite a lot of work done, but the mix is not done yet. Hopefully we'll do the final mix of the album in December.
"The plans have also changed a bit. Most certainly the CD will only consist of 7 songs, that is 7 of our own new songs. So one song + the cover will be left out We'll post the complete tracklist when it's decided.
"The tentative release is set to be February 2009. For those who liked The Latter Rain; I'm pretty sure you will enjoy this one as well. Hopefully it will be worth the wait."
IN VAIN has issued the following update:
"The song writing process is done and we're 90% done with the lyrics. Once again we will enter DUB Studio in our hometown Kristiansand and have booked it for two months starting July 1st. All recordings will be done in DUB studio and for the mixing we have different options that will be consulted as the process goes on.
Now, we just hope to get together and practice a little in the time that's left before the recording starts. We aim at a playing time of 55 minutes, but most likely it will be over 60 minutes this time as well. More info on song titles, music, etc to come."
Norwegian prog/death/black metallers IN VAIN have issued the following update:
