The Warriors of Metal fest has announced that Massachusetts-based, eurocentric power metallers Armory have chosen the Warriors Of Metal Fest VII to host its first and only midwest performance in 2014. The band will be appearing in support of their sophomore release, "Empyrean Realm," which came out late last year.
Much like the band's 2007 debut, "Dawn of Enlightenment," this album was released independently, but this time through the band's own label, Metavania Music. Warriors of Metal Fest VII will take place on Friday and Saturday, June 27 & 28 at O'Sheckeys LIVE Bar & Grill in Columbus, Ohio.
Band founder, guitarist and studio drummer Joe Kurland states: "It feels great to finally play a show outside of the Northeast and the timing is perfect to showcase songs from our new album, Empyrean Realms! Warriors of Metal Fest VII will be Armory's first metal festival and we couldn't be more excited to be a part of such a premier event."

Power metal band Armory's second album, “Empyrean Realms” is due for release on November 12th, 2013.
The album will be released and promoted worldwide by Metavania Music. “Empyrean Realms” contains nine original songs and was engineered, mixed, mastered, and produced by the band at Mystic Star Studios and Damage Studios, both based in Massachusetts, USA. The 12-page album booklet contains celestial artwork produced by England’s Gary Tonge.
Armory comments on the new album: “We believe 'Empyrean Realms' is a huge step forward for the band and an album which displays a style and sound which is more uniquely our own. Compared to our debut album, 'The Dawn of Enlightenment,' 'Empyrean Realms' has more dynamic composing and arranging, with more colorful melodies, head-banging riffs, key changes, and progressive elements. The lyrics are also more articulate, centering on the themes of metaphysics, cosmology, and the power of human will. If you like your metal with soaring vocals, crunchy guitar riffs, blazing solos, technical drums, finger-picked bass, flavorful key changes, and an epic atmosphere, then 'Empyrean Realms' was made for YOU!”
The band has also issued a statement on the extended length of time between albums: “Armory would like to personally thank all our fans near and far and throughout the years who have enjoyed our debut album and waited so patiently for the release of our second album. We are thrilled to finally unveil 'Empyrean Realms' and hope fans agree it was worth the wait. At this point we now intend to be much more interactive with our fans so like us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, play us on YouTube, visit our new Website, sign up to our Newsletter, and send us your comments and critiques!”

Massachusetts based metal act Armory has issued the following update about working on a new album and streaming new cover songs online via the band's MySpace page:
"It is about time that we let people know just what the heck we’ve been doing for the past couple of years. No, we have not been simply sitting on our arses! We have been working tirelessly on our second album, to be entitled ‘Empyrean Realms’. Actually, the seeds for this album took root as early as 2003. The music developed gradually in depth and breadth amidst the re-recording of our debut, ‘The Dawn Of Enlightenment’ in the mid 2000s. By spring 2008, virtually all of the music was composed for the nine songs that will become our follow-up album. Right now we are in the studio, completely immersed in the recording process. In fact, the drums and guitars are already completely tracked! On our myspace profile page, we have posted a compilation video of the drum and guitar tracking to give fans a sneak preview of what this album has in store. Please comment and let us know what you think! We are very excited about this album and look forward to releasing it to the metal community. The arduous work composing and endless hours in the studio are paying off, as musically everything is coming together better than we could have imagined. ‘Empyrean Realms’ will certainly be a huge step forward for the band. Singer Al Firicano, of the thrash metal band, Ravage, has issued the following update regarding some tour date cancellations:
"Ravage has unfortunately been forced to cancel appearances at The KC Power Fest and the August 18th show at Volume 11 in Raleigh, NC (this show will still be taking place, but without Ravage). Due to issues with the Ravage mobile, we've been forced to wait for repairs to take place in Missouri, so we will be delayed significantly and will have to pick up the tour in Allentown PA on August 20th - that will be the next show. We'd like to sincerely apologize to the fans and promoters for this and we hope to add a Kansas City show and a Raleigh NC show back to the tour before it is all over. Details will be announced when available." More...
