Canadian metal band, Elevator 22 has decided to call it quits. The band has provided the following explanation:
"After nearly nine years as one of the pillars of heavy metal madness in Hamilton, Ontario, Elevator 22 has finally called it a day. This past May 15th marked the final show for Elevator 22. The band has broken up quietly and amicably and the best reason we can provide right now is that Elevator 22 has simply run its course. After nearly a decade together, musical tastes and band chemistry are bound to change. Moreover, after slogging it out for nearly ten years, it’s time to vacate the niche we’ve inhabited and let the newcomers have a shot." More...
Members of Ontario extreme metallers, Elevator 22,
(www.myspace.com/elevator22) have formed a side project entitled "That Boy Ain't Right" featuring Curtis Smythe on guitar/vocals and Mike Durham on drums.
Rough demos can be heard at the band's MySpace Page.

"Greetings, its been quite the busy month for us and we have been working hard. Mike did a great job tracking the drums for 8 songs in two days. Casey and I took about three sessions each to complete all the guitar tracks and they are sounding crushing! Bart did all his bass parts in one session and the bass sounds huge! Bart is doing an amazing job tracking the vocals, this time around we've done lots of multi-tracking and vocal harmonies. This week, we start the editing and mixing. We are all very excited about this album. Check back often for more news and new songs posted very soon."

"If any one has any information regarding a stolen road case belonging to guitarists curtis smythe and casey reaper, please let me know. This case contained some equipment that was currently in use during our album in the process of being recorded. It was stolen from a vehicle some time last night between 1:30am and 6:00am. along with the road case a wallet and two cases of beer were taken. Whom ever stole the wallet used the credit card that was in the wallet to purchase some Mc Donalds food."
"The road case is gray, with the Elevator 22 logo on it in black. in the case was a line 6 foot controller a BBE sonic maximizer, assorted patchcords, power cords and guitar accessories. If you have any information please, contact:"
