Amorphis Posts "You I Need" Music Video
Amorphis has posted a music video online for the single "You I Need," which is taken from the band's upcoming album "The Beginning Of Times." You can check out the clip in the player below. Amorphis Announces European Tour Dates
Finnish metallers Amorphis will be releasing the new album "The Beginning Of Times" on May 27th, 2011, with a trailer for the album available here. The band has now announced upcoming tour dates for the Winter of 2011/2012 that will see the band hit 20 European countries. Metalhit Offering New Free Compilation
Digital download store Metalhit.com has launched its second monthly compilation to be available for free download worldwide. Owner, Mike Riddick, comments:
“What’s unique about these monthly compilations is that they feature as-of-yet unreleased tracks from metal bands spanning a variety of genres. Metalheads want to be ‘in the know’ on the latest titles, and what better way to do this than to offer up legal downloads of the latest from metal’s greatest labels...days-to-weeks before their official release!”
Metalhit’s second compilation includes 11 downloadable tracks from Acephalix, Autopsy, Inevitable End, Indestructible Noise Command, Vreid, Amorphis, Tyr, Gamma Ray, Bleeding Fist, Flame and Gallhammer. The compilation can be downloaded at this location. A new set of unreleased free songs will be be made available in mid-June.

Amorphis Shooting New Music Video
Finnish act Amorphis is shooting an official video clip for the song "You I Need" today in Berlin, Germany.
Stated manager Jouni Markkanen, "The band is in Berlin today, shooting the video clip for 'You I Need!' So far they are very happy with the way things are going and the video promises to be totally epic! I don't want to say too much at this point, but trust me, it's gonna be worth the wait and every Amorphis fan will be nothing but stunned!! Watch out!"
Furthermore, Amorphis will release another new song on Monday, May 2nd on the bands official Facebook profile here. A first album trailer for their new effort, "The Beginning Of Times" can be watched here. "The Beginning Of Times" is scheduled for release on May 27th, 2011.

Amorphis Announces Single Details
Amorphis has posted the cover artwork online for the band's upcoming single "You I Need," which can be viewed after the jump. The band also commented on the single release:
"The digital single 'You I Need' will be released in Finland on April 20 and in other countries on April 22. The song will be premiered on the Amorphis Facebook page and various radio stations on Monday, April 11.
"On Easter Sunday, April 24, Amorphis will participate in the charity gala Idols tekee hyvää and perform the new song for a large TV audience (MTV3, 19:15). The proceeds of the event, which brings the popular American format Idol gives back to Finland for the first time, will be directed to education projects for children and teenagers in poverty-stricken countries such as Haiti and Cambodia."

Six More Bands Confirmed For Graspop 2011
The organizers of Belgium's largest metal festival, Graspop Metal Meeting, have announced that six more bands have been confirmed for this year's edition of the event. Atlanta based metal outfit Mastodon will be performing, as will Gwar, Moonsorrow, Kylesa, Protest The Hero and the recently reunited Corrosion Of Conformity. Stormwarrior Confirmed For Bang Your Head Fest
Stormwarrior and Legion of the Damned have been confirmed for Germany's Bang Your Head festival. The upcoming festival will take place on July 15th and July 16th at the Messegelände in Balingen.

Three More Bands Confirmed For Graspop 2011
The organizers of Belgium's premier heavy metal festival, Graspop Metal Meeting, have announced three more names for this year's edition of the festival. Thrash metal super group Dublin Death Patrol, which features Testament frontman Chuck Billy and Hatriot/former Exodus vocalist Steve "Zetro" Souza, will be performing at the event, as will Rise To Remain, which includes Austin Dickinson, the son o iron Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson, as well as All Shall Perish. Motorhead And W.A.S.P. To Headline Bloodstock
The organisers of Great Britain's Bloodstock Open Air festival has announced that, in addition to black metal icons Immortal headlining the second day of the event, heavy metal veterans W.A.S.P. will be headlining the main stage on the friday, with rock gods Motorhead closing the festivities on the final day of the event. Speaking about the festival, Motorhead frontman Lemmy stated:
"Bloodstock is celebrating 11 years, Motorhead 36 years - Boys and girls, come and see, we will rock your fu**in’ ass’. See you at Bloodstock!"

Amorphis Comments On Upcoming Album
The upcoming album from Finland's Amorphis will be titled "The Beginning Of Times" and will see the light of day at the end of May. The album will also be preceded by the single "You I Need" in April. Cover artwork for the album can be viewed below, and the band also commented:
"The new album is the most challenging Amorphis album so far in terms of both music and lyrics. Its central character is the iconic hero of Finnish mythology, Väinämöinen, whose tale has been masterfully retold by lyricist Pekka Kainulainen. The Beginning Of Times was produced by the band; vocals were recorded under the guidance of Marco Hietala in his home studio in Kuopio. Like its predecessors, the album was mixed by Mikko Karmila. Its cover artwork shows Travis Smith’s magnificent interpretation of the mythological birth of the world from a goldeneye’s egg. In June, Amorphis will embark on the extensive The Beginning Of Times tour, which is scheduled to continue through 2012."

Amorphis Adds Festival Appearances
Finnish metallers Amorphis have announced they will be making appearances at the Nummirock (Kauhajoki, 24.-25-6.) and Tuska (Helsinki, 22.-24.7.) summer festivals later this year.
