"‘The glass half empty, and filled with piss...’ Ah, well. It all looks pretty normal at first. But there is something dark lurking at the edges. Unnoticed, decay sets in, and the blackness might be closer than you think. But then again life goes on. As does the music. And the fart jokes.
"‘Any Colour’ is not exactly a song about peace, love and good happiness stuff. But fun to play live. Like fart jokes, pretty much. Enjoy, comment and - this actually important - please spread around.“
"The clip was once more directed by Thew New Black‘s Fludid. No spiders, cockroaches, worms or musicians were harmed during the filming. All pyro scenes, car chases and naked dancers had to be omitted due at the last minute." More...

THE NEW BLACK has begun recording their second album, which will be released in the spring or summer of 2010 through AFM Records. The band comments, “Sounds good, doesn..'t it? What started as stupid idea born out of the love of "the riff" and playing it (and a tsunami of Caipirinhas, to be honest), is going into round two. Ha! We have around 17 songs in different states of completion, some of them in true TNB fashion, some of them with a twist or two, but all kicking our asses or patting our backs. Or both. Phat guitars: Check. Killer hooklines: Check. Shamelessy playing exactly what we like: Check."
"Several people said the new stuff sounds heavier and more metal, others said it sounds more Rrrrock and even more melodic, so you do the math: It..'s TNB and then some. We make the boobies and the balls shake! More on that later."
German band The New Black has issued the following update about the release date for their upcoming album:
"Dear Blackies and Blackettes!
"There's bunch of news this time, but let's announce the coolest one first: Our debut album "The New Black" will be released in the US on June 2nd! Canada will follow around that time, too. Can we get a 'Hell yeah!'?
"If the reactions over there are so full of sweet rock love as they were here... we can't wait! By the way: You can still download the single for free here or over at our friends at Gibson Guitars. And your buddies should know this, right?
"Probably equally cool is that we will play Germany's Serengeti Festival on June 27th - alongside Down and ... Anthrax!
"TNB loves Anthrax, baby! And who wouldn't? They wrote the book with songs like 'Among The Leimsen', 'Günt-Ho', 'Now It's Schwarz', 'Who Cares Weiss' and the always wonderful 'Didulfnikufesin'. If you listen closely to our album, you might even find... er, never mind, never mind. (Cough, cough.) That weekend will be a good one, and we're working on more festivals.
"Additional show news real quick:
"TNB were also confirmed for the Börsencrash Festival in Wuppertal, Germany on October 16th. Our show at Munich's Backstage on May 7th was postponed until July 3rd, when we will play with Tito & Tarantula."
German band The New Black has issued the following statement about a new live video being posted online:
"Dear Blackies and Blackettes!
So you heard some stuff, but you also want to see those five hot dudes in black pants rocking out? You want to see Günt shake that mane, you want to see war faces and shred, baby, shred?
OK, here we go: To get us all over to Jan 23rd when our debut "The New Black" finally sees the light of day, we dug out some footage from a Sep '08 show, filmed by the one and only Bomber at the B-Hof in Würzburg, our home base of sorts, where we played our first show and where we rehearse (if we do, haha).
So here's "Not Me", which you probably haven't heard before, a little fight song, in a nice bootleg style video from a small and sweaty club show. It's live, baby, so expect it to sound even better (er, yeah) on the album."
The video can viewed below. More...
The New Black has issued the following year end update including information about the release date of their upcoming debut album:
"Dear Blackies and Blackettes!
It’s that time of year again. But actually, we are bewildered. Is it Christmas already? Do they change the day every year?
But forget all the stress with getting presents, killing a duck for dinner and getting enough booze in the house to make singing really smooth… It’s too early. Our Christmas is on Jan 23rd, when our debut album comes out. After a lot of work and even more laughs!
C’mon, think about it: We just played our first show in January, wrote more songs, got awarded “Demo Of The Month” four times in big German magazines, finished the album, wrote music for an American movie, signed a deal, played with Zakk, played with Black Stone Cherry, got shows with Volbeat confirmed for Jan/Feb, and most importantly felt a lot of love from you guys - and now the thing actually coming out? How cool is that? More...
