Pictures Of Pain Streams New Song Online

Norwegian melodic metal band Pictures of Pain has just recently finished recording eight tracks which will be released at an undetermined date in 2009. The band is now streaming the song "Far Beyond" on their MySpace page.

Pictures of Pain Enter the Studio

Norwegian progressive metallers, Pictures of Pain, issue the following update on their MySpace page:

"Pictures of Pain has now entered Black Dimension Studio, to start recording their debut full length cd. 8 Tracks have been selected, and by now, drums, bas and one of the rhythm guitarists are finished. More information about the work will come gradually, so stay tuned! "

Pictures of Pain Prepare To Record Debut Album

Norwegian melodic metal band PICTURES OF PAIN will enter Black Dimension studios at the end of February to begin recording its debut album. The CD will contain eight tracks and will be produced by Stein Sund, who has previously worked with THRONE OF KATARSIS and THUNDRA, among others.

PICTURES OF PAIN was formed in 2004 by Frode Gundersen (drums) and Hans Helge Iversen (vocals). They were later joined by Roy Ostrem (bass) and Rune Fredriksen (guitar). The group recorded its first demo in November 2005. A second studio recording followed in July 2006.

Pictures of Pain Issue Album Update

Norwegian melodic metal act PICTURES OF PAIN have issued the following update:

"At this moment, we are still working to improve the songs that will be on the full-length record that we are supposed to start work on in early March next year. We are quite close to a decision in regards to which songs will be recorded, and are now working on details to improve the songs even more."

Pictures Of Pain recently parted ways with guitarist Jan Gunnar Tangen. Stay tuned for band updates.
