Below is our complete Artillery news coverage, including columns and articles pertaining to the band. Some articles listed may be indirectly related, such as side projects of the band members, etc.
Artillery has announced that singer Soren Nico Adamsen has left the band in a message on the band's Facebook page:
"Singer Søren Adamsen has decided to leave Artillery for personal reasons. We would like to say thanks for the last 5 years and wish him good luck in the future! The new singer will be Michael Bastholm Dahl. Michael has already played two successful gigs with Artillery in Denmark."
Here in Michael's own words is his statement about joining Artillery:
"One thing I do know - I have been given the opportunity to join the most hard-hitting legendary thrash metal band of all time out of Denmark, which means, I'm going to go out and be the most frantic and hard singing vocalist I can be! And, following the renowned singers prior to me in Artillerys history, it's both a daunting and exciting challenge! I can't freakin' wait to go out and give it 100% together with the guys in Artillery!"
The band goes on to state the following:
"Michael sings and performs with a lot of attitude and really likes the Artillery thrashing style. He will contribute with his own style, but he can sing the classic Artillery songs very close to the original singer and also deliver the hard hitting vocals like Søren did! Just listen to the classic song 'The Almighty' with Michael Bastholm Dahl on vocals, the first song he ever did with Artillery. The song is recorded at Medley studio with producer Søren Andersen." German thrashers Exumer have been confirmed to appear at this year's Rock Hard Festival in Milan, Italy on September 15th, 2012. Also on the bill for the festival are Danish thrashers Artillery, who have just come off the co-headlining "South American Damnation" tour with Exumer through Argentina, Chile and Brazil.
Exumer's management is now working on on a European installment of the Exumer/Artillery package and are planning additional dates with both bands throughout Europe in September/October 2012.
Vocalist Mem V. Stein comments: "Our 'South American Damnation' tour was such a success for both bands, us and Artillery, that we did not hesitate to ask our management to replicate the package for Europe. This means that we have to put our North American dates, which were planned for the fall, on hold until spring 2013. There were no alternate time frames to bring both bands back out on the road and we didn't want to risk losing the opportunity altogether to bring the package to Europe."
The line-up for the Rock Hard Festival Italia 2012 features among others Marduk (SE), Bulldozer (IT), Artillery (DK), Exumer (DE), and Immolation (US). More...

"Who better to lead them on their journey to the undead than the mighty Holy Moses celebrating their 30th anniversary? Not once, because as you know, they do everything twice. You heard right, twice! Here is how it goes: On December 3rd, 40 of the most extreme Metal Bands and 2,000 headbangers from around the world will go to the Caribbean to take over a luxury cruise ship for a 5 day and 4 night trip to the undead! For the entire trip it's like everyone has a backstage pass and you can mingle side-by-side with the Artists in this incredibly fan-friendly scenario that has no comparison. "You can also get all your memorabilia signed at the Meet & Greet sessions. Be part of their infamous Metal Karaoke and many other special activities with the Artists. And last, but not least: Don't forget that they have bars on board that never close! What are you waiting for? You might even need a vacation from this vacation when all is said and done."

German thrashers Exumer have been confirmed to play a series of live shows in South America in June, 2012. The trek will take the band through Argentina Chile and Brazil. Exumer's Danish thrash masters Artillery are joining them on the whole tour. This is Exumer's first appearance in South American in 24 years, where the band last played in Brazil in 1988.
Vocalist Mem V. Stein comments: "We have been waiting for this moment for a long, long time! It's a huge milestone in our career to return to Brazil after 24 years, where there are numerous online communities that wholeheartedly embrace EXUMER and where our fans have been loyally following us since our first appearances in the 1980s. There could hardly be a more cult tour package, between EXUMER and ARTILLERY, to hit South America and the timing could not be better for us to return there shortly after the release of our new album."
Exumer's first new album in 25 years, "Fire And Damnation," will be released via Metal Blade Records in April 2012.
Artillery's Michael Stützer Comments: "Artillery are looking forward to come to South America to play for some of the most dedicated thrashers in the world. It has been one of our main goals from the start of Artillery and we are so excited to play for the headbangers, who has supported us through all these years!" More...
It is always so unfair when you see mediocre and lackluster bands becoming hugely popular and selling millions of albums, especially when a band with overwhelming talent gets the shaft and never realizes it's true potential. But I learned a long time ago that life was never meant to be fair, and not a better example of this exists in the annals of metal than the story of Artillery. Formed in 1982 in Taastrup, Denmark - this band came along at the beginning of thrash metal and was one of a very small handful of bands that pioneered the technical metal genre. They were ahead of the times, and sadly still fly under the radar in terms of recognition within the metal community. The old schoolers and metal elitists know and recognize them for what they are, though - perhaps the greatest and most technical thrash band of all time. More...
