Background

The Richmond, VA 5-piece, Lamb of God, came together in the current form in the fall of 1999. The band has been around in various forms and under various names, most notably Burn The Priest, since '94, however, and the brothers, Chris and Willie, have been playing music together since '88.

Lamb of God signed with Epic records in 2004 and completed their major label debut in just 5 months before embarking on their first Ozzfest tour and subsequent US and UK tours.

Lamb of God play a caustic style of extreme metal that can be compared to few others. It can best be described as a raw mixture of death and doom metal elements, but that description does not do their sound justice. Go get their CD or catch a show and hear it for yourself.

Interview

Lamb of God's Chris Adler Talks Drums (w/ Audio)

Lamb of God’s Chris Adler has been around the world and back several times and even has drum kits waiting on him in three different countries. Aside from the band and launching ReThink Records almost on his own, Adler has taken to writing and publishing a memoir/drum tablature book, titled "The Making of New American Gospel, Drum Tablature, Short Stories, and Reflections." As if he wasn’t busy enough between that and Lamb of God, the veteran drummer is about to go on a drum clinic tour through the US, called the "Throne with a View" tour.

Adler also managed to have some time to tell MetalUnderground.com a little about these things in an interview. We even recorded the telephone interview, streaming below. More...

Interview with Randy of Lamb of God

Wednesday last week, I had the chance to catch up with vocalist Randy Blythe of Lamb of God for a long-overdue phone interview. Lamb of God have been touring their asses off since Ozzfest last year and therefore most of my questions were about touring and their latest album on a major label. Here's how it all went down: More...
