American deathcore act Carnifex has revealed the dates for the upcoming "Names Mean Nothing" North American tour. Support on the trek will come from Oceano, Within the Ruins and The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza. Carnifex frontman Scott Lewis commented on the tour by saying:
"The 'Names Mean Nothing Tour' is bringing some of the heaviest, technical and modern metal bands together for awesome nights of sick pits and wicked beatdowns; guaranteed to leave you with bangovers the next morning. Don't miss it!"

Dying Fetus has posted the re-mastered versions of “Grotesque Impalement” (taken from "Infatuation With Malevolence") and “Skull Fucked” (taken from "Purification Through Violence") online now via the band’s MySpace page. These re-mastered tracks come from the band’s forthcoming, expanded re-issues of earlier albums that will see their release early this year, which coincidentally marks the 20th anniversary of the group.
Dying Fetus has also announced that the last headlining tour in support of it's most recent album "Descend Into Depravity" will be as the headliners of the 2011 Bonecrusher Fest. This last tour starting work on a brand new album will also include Keep of Kalessin, Carnifex, Annotations of an Autopsy, Fleshgod Apocalypse, and Angelus Apatrida. The 2011 Bonecrusher fest will kick off in February and consists of Dying Fetus, Keep of Kalessin, Carnifex, Annotations of an Autopsy, Fleshgod Apocalypse, and Angelus Apatrida. Emmure has now been confirmed to play the upcoming TMT metal festival, which takes place from September 24th - 26th, 2010 in Middletown, New York. Emmure will be performing on the 25th. The list of confirmed bands so far includes Mushroomhead, Silent Civilian, Tantric, Steel Kingdom, Uncaged, Diecast, Goatwhore, Suffocation, Otep, Winds of Plague, Carnifex, and more.
The organizers of New York's TMT Metal Fest have issued the following statement about rumors of bands dropping off the bill:
"Well folks, Contrary to whatever idiots out there in metal land that are saying that any of the National Acts on the Fest are dropping out is a complete lie! I say this! Fuck them all! They are just weak ass haters with nothing else better to do. So if you want to listen to whomever, then go right ahead & sit home!"
The festival is set to take place from September 24th - 26th, 2010 in Middletown, New York. Announced bands for the lineup include Goatwhore, Suffocation, Otep, Winds of Plague, Carnifex, and more.
As I Lay Dying will be meeting up with fans before every show on the band's headlining tour for a meet and greet/signing. The band will be signing autographs for 30 minutes as soon as doors open and will wrap up right before Carnifex hits the stage. As I Lay Dying will also be signing a free poster for fans that show up to the sessions. The British death metal band Annotations Of An Autopsy has pulled out of the U.S. tour which featured Carnifex, Suffokate, and Upon a Burning Body. The tour had just started this week, but Annotations of An Autopsy will not be continuing among the other death metal bands for the duration of this tour.
