Evergrey is a progressive metal band from Gothenburg, Sweden. The band was founded in 1995 and released its debut album The Dark Discovery in 1998. Evergrey's lyrics have always been of the darker sort, and the same can be said of the band's imagery. While The Dark Discovery dealt with a variety of ideas, many later albums have been concept albums, dealing with issues like self-reformation (Recreation Day), paranoia, alien abduction (In Search of Truth), child abuse, cults and religion (The Inner Circle).

"We are excited to announce that we will be working with two guest musicians on our upcoming album. Antony Hämäläinen (Nightrage) will be providing guest vocals on the track 'Mechanical Ruin' while Henrik Danhage (ex-Evergrey, DeathDestruction) will be doing a guest solo on a track that's yet to be named.
"To be working with such talented musicians from bands that we admire and respect is really inspiring and we cant wait for you all to hear the final product. As of today we've completed preproduction on 10 of the final 12 tracks and are due to begin recording with Karl Groom of Thin Ice Studios on 19 July.
"Although we're still working on the album title, we can reveal the following track names... Forget To Live, Embers To Ashes, Mechanical Ruin, Confession and Beneath The Scars. The new album can be described as a natural progression of the Neverborne sound that defined our debut release, In Absence Of Fear with more focus on groove and melody

Evergrey was scheduled to perform several upcoming tour dates with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. The band has now checked in with the following update about the remaining shows in Spain and Portugal being canceled due to having equipment stolen:
"Due to a break-in in Evergrey’s tour bus all gigs in Spain and Portugal are canceled. Evergrey lost equipment and merchandise for a value beyond 35000 Euros so it is impossible to continue. We pass Lyon on the way home and will use the equipment of the local support. Maybe we can go home and get new equipment for the Holland shows and come back but this is still uncertain. A list of ALL things stolen will be presented here together with the Police report. More details on this soon… To our Spanish and Portuguese fans we are extremely sorry but we have NO chance of making it with everything being stolen."

"At first it might seem devastating and frightening as it did to us when making this decision. People change, evolve and grow, sometimes in different ways and in different directions. This happens to everyone and it has certainly happened to Evergrey as a band throughout the years.
"Me and Rikard [Zander, keyboard] have together with Henrik [Danhage, guitars] and Jonas [Ekdahl, drums] made the mutual decision that it was best for us all that they leave Evergrey. They wanted to and we wanted them to. More...

Frontiers Records has announced the return of the Italian prog metal band MIND KEY with the release of the band’s second studio album entitled “Pulse for a Graveheart” on July 3rd in Europe, August 11th in the USA with a Japanese release to follow on King Records.
The band began the recording of the second album “Pulse for a Graveheart,” simplifying their songwriting and giving the chance to Fierro to showcase his immense vocal potential which can be described as a powerful mix of Ronnie James Dio, David Coverdale and Jorn Lande. The album was later mixed and mastered by none other than Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69, Angra, Krokus, Place Vendome etc.) to ensure the best sounding quality. According to guitarist Emanuele Colella “We knew from the beginning that Dennis was the right choice! Since the first communication together a perfect synergy was built. He could understand our need and desire to combine a modern melodic metal sound with our progressive roots and an heavier edge. He could totally deliver what we and the music needed, he’s just great.”
“Pulse for a Graveheart” also features some guest musicians appearing such as Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater, Alice Cooper), who plays a keyboard solo on “Citizen of Greed”, Reb Beach (Whitesnake, Winger) on “Now Until Forever” and Tom Englund from Evergrey, dueting with Elio Fierro on “Graveheart.” Mind Key’s line-up now includes: Aurelio Fierro on vocals, Emanuele Colella on guitars, Dario De Cicco on keyboards and Andrea Stipa on drums.
“Pulse for a Graveheart” introduces to the fans a completely re-designed band, with a mature attitude and astonishing songwriting. “I hope the new record will give Mind Key the chance to get rid of the label of 'prog metal band in the style of....' and bring us to a different status. We aim to be a Metal band - still staying true to our diverse influences ranging from progressive to hard and melodic rock – but with a personal and trademark sound” concludes Andrea Stipa.
The final tracklisting includes: "Sunset Highway," "The Seventh Seal," "Citizen of Greed," "Crusted Memories," "Dead Fame Hunter," "Ventotene (The Island)" "Graveheart," "Eye Of A Stranger," "Now Until Forever," and "A New Generation."
Evergrey has issued the following announcement about canceling all but two of their upcoming European tour dates:
"This month is getting embarrassing, for us and the people who we work with. We are sorry to announce, that for circumstances and reasons beyond our control, we are forced to cancel the scheduled Evergrey European tour in April.
"We would like to apologize to all the fans of both bands for the last minute decision and promise to work on getting new dates set up as soon as possible. Its always hard to let people down and both bands were extremely excited to play for all of their fans in Europe but sometimes things apparently don't go as planned. Which makes us in the band really frustrated and mad.
"I hope all of you understand that we are a band nothing more. This is what we live off and for, to play and tour, therefore we can promise that we are more sorry than anyone. This might not ease the disappointment for some of you but as said it's out of our control and involves so much details that none of you would be wiser of knowing.
"As with the canceled date in Atlanta we promise to make up for it as soon as we can and get a chance. More...
Evergrey will be unable to perform their scheduled show in Atlanta, Georgia on March 12th as a result of a delay with the immigration paperwork. A message from the band reads as follows:
"We are so fucking sorry for not being able to play, but the rules of USA's immigration prevents us from doing so. Normally this has never been a problem as the paperwork has always been swift enough, but now, for some reason we have yet to be approved.
"Even more frustrating (if possible) is that we will be there, in Atlanta, but not be able to perform. We have all our shit with us and everything as we are also going to Mexico BUT WE CAN'T PLAY. We are so terribly sorry for this, as we are not and have never been a band that cancels, anything. However this is out of our hands... we are looking to make this up by returning in May to perform for you guys and also try to fit some more gigs in there. More...
