Gama Bomb have recently been announced as the second support act for Soulfly's show at ULU in London on August 16th. Also on the bill will be Trigger The Bloodshed.
Gama Bomb leader Philly Byrne states: "It's going to be an honour to light up London with Soulfly next month. We're all massive Max fans, so it's a bit of a dream come true for us. Also, it's part of the Kerrang! awards, which is very cool. They're an excellent periodical, and they obviously have good taste in bands since they asked us to do this. See all you bangers and ragers there on the 16th! Scream faster! Mosh louder! Faster is gooder!"

Irish thrashers Gama Bomb have posted the following blog via Myspace:
"We've returned. From our first European tour, from the wilds of central Europe, from the dead: Pick one. If you haven't paying attention, we'll try to sum it up for you. Two weeks, 11 shows, a bunch of interviews, a staggering amount of booze, over 5,000 kilometres travelled, God knows how much salted meat choked down, and some of the best, greatest, weirdest times of our 'career' (inverted commas are our own). We could prattle on about the amazing gigs (for amazing they were, boys and girls) and all the cool places we saw, but it's more interesting to write a big weird list of crap instead, isn't it?
Places we slept:
The world's smallest house (but a very nice one)
A post-apocalyptic warehouse in the former Eastern Bloc
A theatre company's commune
A clip-together motel
A kitchen floor
A kid's bed
A Berlin hideout
An old woman's basement
A narrow Amsterdam hotel (cheers E) More...

Irish thrashers GAMA BOMB have posted a tour report regarding their recent UK tour with thrash legends EXODUS and fast-rising UK thrashers EVILE.
This is what GAMA BOMB had to say about playing up and down the UK to riotous reception night after night, with two of the greatest thrash bands around today:
"The G-Bizzers have just returned from our UK tour with Exodus and Evile, and what a week it's been...kicking off in London, we had one of the best receptions we've ever had and were thrilled to play the Underworld, which has always been something of an ambition of ours. Leeds the next night was an even better set, and those who assembled really made us feel welcome, which was cool. Dublin was possibly the most surprising night by a mile: expecting a decent reception and some friendly back-slapping, we were astonished by how well we went down. We managed to sell more tees than we even had in London, which was great. We definitely owe them Dublin thrashers more gigs like that one."

Irish thrashers GAMA BOMB have posted this latest studio report on their MySpace page:
"DISPATCHES FROM THE FRONT PT. 3:
It seems like the GAMA BOMB boys have done nothing but inhale each others' farts in the car for an eternity, but we have managed to make it all the way home from deepest, darkest Suffolk at last. Thursday saw a late night of churning out killer screams, backing vocals and bass that cleared the way for two days' hardcore fret-spanking by the mighty Domo, who even demanded an extra day's time to perfect his shredology. We salute him. And ourselves.
Now that we're back in our respective dens of iniquity, it's hard to believe we've spent almost a month in the lab, stitching together such a savage monster of an album. Scurvy, alcoholic poisoning and malnutrition may have taken their toll, but by Friday morning we were still standing, bleary eyed and disbelieving as we heard the best thrash for 20 years come screaming back at us from Scott Atkins' bass woofer.
As with all the best things in life (ketchup, scabs, tortoise racing) good things will come to those who wait: there'll be no preview for a while and certainly no sly CD-Rs of this bad boy, but when 'Citizen Brain' drops we'll be ready. We've discussed how the album might be received by writers, reviewers, tastemakers and shakers a million times, but the end sum of all this work is that we don't give a shit. As long as there are thrashers out there tossing away half of their collection and replacing it with a solitary disc of 'Citizen Brain', we'll be happy. That isn't too much to ask, is it?
Here's how 'Citizen Brain' finally worked out in figures:
References to brains: TBC
Instances of profanity on album: Over 30
Times Rats: Night Of Terror watched: 12
GBP spent on alcohol: £500
Blocks of cheese: 10
We have been mostly eating: Crisps, Toast, Cheese, Bacon, Eggs, Beef, Noodles, Soap, Whatever's Handy.
Ailments / injuries accrued by bad diet / alcohol abuse / stupidity during recording: Unexplained facial wounds, allergic reactions to permanent marker 'comedy' glasses, puncture wounds to soles of feet, acne, halitosis, skits, skats, gripe, loss of sense of direction, e.coli, upsetness, brain death
GAMA BOMB - Faster Is Gooder." More...
The band checks in once again with another update straight from Grindstone Studios about the recording of their EARACHE debut, CITIZEN BRAIN (produced by Scott Atkins):
"If making amazing albums is a crime, we're going to be sent down for life when CITIZEN BRAIN gets released (slated for mid-May, fact fans). Drums are complete, as evidenced by Paul spending his days playing Hitman with a beer, and we're coming to the end of guitar tracking. Luke and Domo have been putting in long days, scrutinizing every riff and lick with Scott, and the results sound amazing. Philly is now getting into the thick of the vocal takes, too, and is packing in some seriously balls-to-the-wall screaming in late-night sessions. Unfortunately, he hasn't been spotted wearing sunglasses while doing takes like Glen Benton. A recent memo from EARACHE advised that 'more falsettos = better', and we're certainly going to deliver on that."
"Last week saw Tom Luchtenstein from MUTANT and Jamie from Resilience Records swing by the studio to deliver some hilariously brilliant backing vocals on a few tunes, only to callously leave us again like the Milk Tray man in the night. We got over it. We also got the first pencil roughs for CITIZEN BRAIN's album cover back from our man in New York, the brilliant Jeff Zornow. It looks amazing. If you see one picture of robot arms coming out of mouths this year, make this it." More...
Gama Bomb issue the following studio update:
"How do, thrash farmers,"
"The G-Max lads are now one week into the recording of our Earache debut Citizen Brain at Grindstone Studios in deepest, darkest Suffolk with Scott "Cliffhanger 2" Atkins, and what a week it's been. Three days of tracking drums saw Paul nail every song down and left him literally letting off some steam (a la Commando's Captain Bennett) as he sweated off the pounds in the live room. We're currently editing the resulting tracks and preparing to lay down rhythm guitars. Evil ones." More...
Earache Records reports:
Recent Earache singings GAMA BOMB are preparing to enter the studio to record their debut full length Citizen Brain, with producer Scott Atkins at the helm.
The band recently made performed to a packed house at the Earache Christmas party in London on December 12th, airing new material from the forthcoming record.
Commenting on the upcoming, vocalist Philly states: "When we're not nursing hangovers, we're mega-excited to get to work on Citizen Brain. We've been bashing the songs into shape for months, and they're now ready to really blow some heads up! We're pretty confident that we're about to make a record that's going to win converts. It's going to change people's minds, make them throw out the dross they've been tolerating for the last 15 years and really start thrashing out like big boys again. We'll be sure to pack our thermals, a few cases of special brew and an industrial-sized drum of beans for this one."
Among the tracks set for inclusion are 'Space Invaders', 'Sentenced to Thrash', 'Hammer Slammer' and 'Zombi Brew', the latter also featured on the upcoming Thrashing Like A Maniac compilation due on January 21st, alongside a host of other emerging new thrash acts like EVILE, MUNICIPAL WASTE, DEKAPITATOR and WARBRINGER.

Bristol, U.K. based thrashers Seregon have posted the following message on their website:
"Remember that Terrorizor 'Fear Candy' unsigned bands competition we entered back in August? Well, recently we received news from Terrorizor magazine saying that we....didn't win.
Though all is not lost, as we did come second overall, which out of twenty great bands worldwide is pretty awesome! A big thanks to EVERYONE who voted, be it once, twice, three times a lady or even eleventy times.
On a side note, we have recently passed the 10,000 plays milestone on our MySpace. We're also playing FULL THRASH ASSUALT this Saturday in Wakefield, with Earache Records' Evile and Gama Bomb and a whole host of other excellent Thrash bands, if you live in the area come and check everyone out, especially Andy our drummer as he'll get semi-naked while playing."
The billing for Thrash Assault 2 (myspace.com/metalonmetal) is now complete with the addition of Ireland's GAMA BOMB from Ireland. The event will also be the first time ever that SABBAT and ONSLAUGHT appear on the same bill for a show.
Here is the final billing: SABBAT, ONSLAUGHT (Very Special Old School Show), PROTECTORS (feat. Martin Missy), AT WAR, DESASTER, GAMA BOMB, RUNAMOK, NOCTURNAL.
The event is scheduled for February 23rd in Wuerzburg, Germany at Soundpark-Ost (ex-Rockpalast).
Irish thrashers Gama Bomb played the biggest gig of their career last weekend as they supported metal heavyweights Machine Head on their home soil. Gama Bomb guitarist and vocalist Phil Byrne has spoken out about playing the sell-out gig at Dublin's Ambassador Theatre:
"The experience of playing with Machine Head is going to be pretty hard to beat. Since it was a sold out show in one of our personal favourite venues and on our own home turf, it was a really exciting night. The gig was a real taste of what it?s like to totally storm in a high-end venue and we can't wait to do it again!"
He has also revealed how Rob Flynn made a special effort to meet up with them backstage:
"Rob Flynn actually came knocking on our dressing room door and we were all shocked by how genuine and friendly he was. He hung out for a bit and talked shite with us and had a laugh; he's a cool dude". More...
After being chosen by MACHINE HED to support them on a Black Crusade warm-up gig at the Ambassador Theatre in Dublin, Ireland on November 18th, EVILE and GAMA BOMB have both revealed how excited they are about playing the large-scale
Speaking in the midst of a current UK tour with SANCTITY, Evile guitarist Ol Drake has spoken out about landing the opportunity to support such a legendary band: "We are extremely excited to be playing with Machine Head as Rob Flynn is a legend. Violence were fucking cool so we are really looking forward to playing this show and meeting all the guys. I hope they play some of the old fast shit - watch out Dublin and Prepare to be Thrashed!"
Hailing from Ireland, new Earache thrash signings Gama Bomb have also commented upon playing their high-energy thrash sound to more than 1000 people.
Speaking exclusively, vocalist Phil Byrne has stated: "We are totally stoked to be playing with such a legendary band as Machine Head, and especially to do it here in one of Dublin's greatest venues! This starts our new gigging schedule as we mean to carry on, so hopefully we will be playing a lot more shows like this one. This will be the biggest audience we've ever played to, and that just makes us all the more willing to paint the place with their brains - metaphorically, of course."
