Metal Blade Records artists, Ravage, from Boston, MA, has announced an extensive North American Tour in support of their forthcoming full-length CD, "The End Of Tomorrow," which due out on August 18th.
The tour will be in essence, a collection of mini-tours featuring the best regional and local support acts appearing on short strings of dates. In the North East, Ravage will be joined by Las Vegas power metallers, SEVENTH CALLING, for a series of shows. Some tour dates will also include Heaven and Hell Record's East Coasters HELLRAZOR. Southern dates will include appearances by A LOWER DEEP, and in the Northwest, Ravage will be joined by SKELATOR for some dates. In addition, Ravage will make a special guest appearance at the Seattle tour date of STRATOVARIUS and will kick off the tour at the Mexico Metalfest in Mexico, Maine with PSYCHOSTICK. Boston thrashers, Ravage, have issued the following update regarding the details of their upcoming North American tour:
"So the tour schedule seems to be coming together slowly but... maybe surely. We've got a lot of good potential shows put together including a possible gig with the legendary Vicious Rumors, and confirmed shows with ROSS THE BOSS (Guitarist of Manowar and The Dictators) and STRATOVARIUS. We seem to be having an easier time putting together shows on the west coast for some reason - so if you have some contacts in the East and south, particularly florida and the carolina's - and Canada - let me know. I've had a devil of a time getting any Canadian gigs so far." More...
Manowar has announced that they will be headlining the Provinssirock festival in Finland on June 13th.

Donnie Hamzik, the original drummer for MANOWAR, will be on tour with the band in 2009. MANOWAR and special guests HolyHell will be headlining some of Europe's major metal festivals, including their very own Magic Circle Festival III at the Loreley on the Rhine River in Germany on Saturday, July 18, 2009.
Polish female fronted metal band Crystal Viper is the latest band confirmed for the 2009 Magic Circle Festival, which will take place on Saturday, July 18 in Loreley, Germany. The other confirmed bands so far are Manowar, Metalforce, and Holyhell.
In an interview with Metalitalia.com, ICS Festival Service GmbH managing director Thomas Jensen (Wacken Open Air organizers) reveals that the festival is in negotiations with MANOWAR to headline the 2009 edition of the festival.
Says Thomas Jensen: "For 2009 we are discussing with Manowar... my friend Joey is really crazy but I like him. [laughs] SAXON should play as well. We're in contact with METALLICA too, and we'll meet with John Jackson at the end of March to plan out their next Waken appearance, that probably will be in 2010".

New York City thrashers, Castrofate, have just uploaded a new unmixed version of their song "Flying Blind" to their MySpace page. The song originally appeared on their latest album, "Cataclysmic Insanity." According to the band the song is, "From the recording sessions with John Rup (Magus Beast) and Ross the Boss (Manowar) at the production helm (TWIN TERROR PRODUCTIONS)."

Last year, MANOWAR recorded both German and English versions of "Stille Nacht" - known to English speaking fans as the classic Christmas carol "Silent Night" - as a holiday gift to all of their loyal fans. The song was recorded in "Hell" and mixed by Ronald Prent of Galaxy Studios, Belgium.

Reunited thrash metal act Sacred Reich has announced that they will be performing at Hellfest in France next year. The festival takes place from June 19th- 21st and also boasts a lineup featuting Heaven And Hell, Anthrax, Amon Amarth, Orange Goblin Cathedral, Manowar, God Forbid, Gorgoroth and Stratovarius. Carlos Zema traveled to Brazil to rejoin his Vougan band mates earlier this year for Porao do Rock, the country's largest independent rock festival. Still in Brazil, the band will be recording a live DVD performances during two concerts on November 14 & 15.
The first will be a charity event for the non-governmental agency, Amisrael, an organization known as "The Messengers of Peace." This performance will be an "unplugged" recording. The second performance, at the Atlanta Music Hall in Goiania, Brazil will be be a full-blown, live, concert video. Other bands performing include, Andre Matos (Angra/Shaman), Mindflow, Heaven's Guardian, Refine, and Dynahead.
The DVD will be packaged as a double live video, and will include plenty of extras. Some of the confirmed guests include, Andre Matos (Angra/Shaman),
David Shankle (Manowar / DSG), and Bill Hudson (Cellador/Powerquest/Circle II Circle).

San Francisco thrash metal pioneers Death Angel have been confirmed as the latest addition to a stellar Magic Circle Festival lineup. The Magic Circle Festival will be held in Bad Arolsen/Germany from July 9 to 12, 2008. Death Angel will be performing as a special guest at the MCF Events Hall on Thursday, July 10th.

Michael Schenker Group (MSG), Beloved Enemy, Titanium Black, Mob Rules and Benedictum have been confirmed for the Magic Circle Festival 2008, set to take place July 9-12 in Bad Arolsen, Germany.
These bands are added to the already impressive list including Manowar, Alice Cooper, Brazen Abbot, Def Leppard, Doro, Holyhell, Ted Nugent, W.A.S.P., and Whitesnake.
Also, a third full day of music has been added to the Magic Circle Festival at no additional charge. MANOWAR has been confirmed to perform at the Kaliakra Rock Fest 2008, set to take place on July 5th in Kavarna, Bulgaria.
The Metal Mayor of Kavarna, Tsonko Tsonev and Joker Media will bring the Kings Of Metal once again for what is certain to be another historic concert on the shores of the Black Sea. Last year's performance was attended by 25,000 fans who witnessed over 2,5 hours of true metal along with an awe-inspiring rendition of Bulgaria's national anthem, Mila Rodino.
