Trivium guitarist Corey Beaulieu has remarked on his guest appearance on ‘Metal’ the new Annihilator album:
"Being invited to participate with Jeff as a guest guitarist on ANNIHILATOR's upcoming release 'Metal' was truly a great thing. Not only was it my first 'guest appearance,' which was cool, but to be asked by Jeff Waters and a band that I respect so much and love like ANNIHILATOR makes for some great fucking memories. Jeff is a FANTASTIC guitarist, and to be able to play and create alongside him for the amount of time I did was great. I feel honored to be a part of it; it is such a great CD with lots of amazing people and great players on it. Anyone who is a true fan of 'Metal' really should check it out — if not, then you can burn in HELL with Alice, haha."

Canadian thrashers ANNIHILATOR have signed up with mega-tour agents The Agency Group.
Commented ANNIHILATOR mainman Jeff Waters: "ANNIHILATOR will be on the road extensively in 2007. This is a worldwide deal and London rep. Paul Ryan and I are working on starting April 2007 and plan on, at least, a year of touring for the new ANNIHILATOR CD. We will be touring with some pretty killer bands; many of my own personal favorites. We'll let you know who soon... and yes, this includes back to North America. Finally!"
ANNIHILATOR will be headlining Sweden Rock's 34000 Ton Metal cruise, which takes place October 6-7 on board of the third generation car ferry "Silja Festival". Also scheduled to appear are THE HAUNTED, TREAT, MORGANA LEFAY, GRAND MAGUS, PERSUADER, and BLOODBOUND, among others.
Jeff Waters has been missing from Annihilator's online forum for some time, an unusual occurence for the guitarist and founder of the band. After many queries about this oddity, the band's webmaster issued the following report:
"I spoke with Jeff last week. He has been absent from this forum (a rare thing for Jeff!) because of literally locking himself away in his studio for months, working furiously on the new Annihilator CD. He says that most of the CD has been recorded. However, he is also taking care of the business end first, ie: new record deal, setting up touring, etc. I am sure that he will return here as soon as he can and we will all be in for some excitement here! Hang in!"The follow-up to 2005's Schizo Deluxe CD will feature drummer Mike Mangini and Dave Padden, who will be the band's first guitarist to play rhythm guitar and sing on a record.
ANNIHILATOR will take a short break from recording their follow-up to 2005's Schizo Deluxe CD to play both Metalway Festivals in Spain on July 28th and 29th. Following news that drummer Mike Mangini will be playing on the new album fans at the band's official website have been asking who will be part of the band line-up for the gigs. Guitarist/founder Jeff Waters has issued the following update:
"Russ Bergquist is with us on bass, Mr. (Dave) Padden on vocals and guitar, drummer Ryan Ahoff (from Winnipeg, Canada) and some guy named Jeff Waters on guitar. It is one hell of a line-up."
Waters recently issued the following studio update:
"Dave Padden and I have been locked up in the studio for two weeks now working on guitars and vocals for the new one. He is going to be the first Annihilator guitarist to play rhythm guitar on an Annihilator CD, as well as sing. I guess that makes us a 4-piece band live then! I'm also going to sing some of the tracks I sang on previous records, like King Of The Kill, Refresh The Demon and others. METAL RULES!!!"
Seattle, Washngton-based black/thrash metal band IN MEMORIUM are currently seeking a keyboardist. More information is available on the band's MySpace page.

The CD was recorded at Trillium Lane Studios under the watchful eye of engineer Curran Murphy (former NEVERMORE/ANNIHILATOR guitarist) and producer Todd Hooper.

Swedish power metal outfit TAD MOROSE are proud to announce a new singer in their ranks: Joe Comeau (ex Annihilator / Liege Lord & ex Overkill guitarist).
Here a Joe´s comment: "What can I say? Obviously I am very honored to be the new vocalist for the great Tad Morose! I would first like to thank all the Tad guys for bringing me on board. Work has already begun on awesome new Tad Morose material and I am psyched as hell to move ahead on creating a killer new CD with these guys. I am also looking forward to our upcoming shows so I can meet all the Tad faithful and friends alike! Make sure you come and have a drink with us. See ya soon! Cheers, Joe Comeau."
TAD MOROSE´s last effort “Modus Vivendi” was released in 2003. The band will debut with him on stage at Gothenburg Metal Festival (Sweden) on April 30th and Karmoygeddon Festival (Norway) on May 6th.
The ANNIHILATOR video for 'Alison Hell' has been posted online at this location, but according to a post by guitarist Jeff Waters at the band's official website it is one of two versions that were made:
"The cool thing about this is that it is of the USA Only version of the video. There was a completey different version that is on the new Ten Years In Hell DVD, due out in February on SPV Records. The original version had too much of me wearing that Virgin Airlines shirt; a stupid move on my part, as I hadn't realized that it was also a label. Something that I am sure Roadrunner were not that happy about, understandably!
So the version on this site is the USA version. Cool."

Canadian thrashers ANNIHILATOR have posted a free full-length MP3 of the song "Maximum Satan" at their official web site. The track comes off the group's eleventh studio album, "Schizo Deluxe", which was released in North America this past week via Locomotive/Warner. The CD was issued in Japan on October 21 via Marquee Inc. Also available for download at the band's site is a free seven-minute collage of some of the guitarwork from the "Schizo Deluxe" CD.
"Schizo Deluxe" is the follow-up to 2004's "All for You", which marked the recording debut with the group of new singer Dave Padden following the departure of previous vocalist Joe Comeau (ex-OVERKILL, LIEGE LORD) in June 2003.
Austin Powell of The Daily Texan recently conducted an interview with MACHINE HEAD frontman Robert Flynn about Robert's contributions to the ROADRUNNER UNITED "The All-Star Sessions" CD, a collection of original tracks that are collaborations between numerous Roadrunner Records stars. The short question-and-answer session follows:
Daily Texan: Jeff Waters (guitarist for ANNIHILATOR and solo musician on two of Flynn's tracks [on "The All-Star Sessions" CD], "The Dagger" and "Independent"), goes absolutely off on this album. What was your relationship with him before the project?
Robert Flynn: "We never toured with ANNIHILATOR. That was a little before our time. I actually met him while coming home from England. This guy standing in front of me at customs was wearing an ANNIHILATOR shirt, which is really rare. You just don't see it coming to America, so I was just like 'Are you in ANNIHILATOR?' and he was like, 'Yeah, Robert Flynn?' And I was like 'Yeah,' and we just kind of hit it off from there."
Daily Texan: Waters is definitely an amazing shredder, but let's talk about your guitar work on the album. What brought about that 3-part guitar harmony in "Independent"?
Robert Flynn: The whole concept of that song is loosely based around [late PANTERA/DAMAGEPLAN guitarist] 'Dimebag' Darrell. Around the time of his death this guy named William Grim put out an article on this extremely conservative web site called The Iconoclast entitled, 'R.I.P. Dimebag Abbott and Good Riddance.' It basically called him a scumbag that brought this on himself. It was pretty vile and it was published the day after his murder. I copied it, and sent it to Max Cavalera [SOULFLY, ex-SEPULTURA], who ended up singing on the track. So the topic of the song is a response to that and three-part guitar harmony was just going for this big, epic guitar-oriented outro piece with piano and strings as a kind of tribute to him."
Daily Texan: How did your track with Howard Jones of KILLSWITCH ENGAGE come about?
Robert Flynn: "I had written the song and it had a killer melodic hook, and I envisioned Howard singing it from the get-go. I thought it would be cool to hear him on 'The More Things Change'-era MACHINE HEAD track. I wrote the vocal melody and lyrics, recorded it and sent it to him. He was originally just supposed to be the singer, but during the course of recording we started messing around with it and I started singing. It kind of just became the 'Ebony and Ivory' of metal music. The whole process was just spontaneous. So much of what you hear is a first take, just this magical moment put to tape."
Annihilator guitarist Jeff Waters has posted the following message on the band's official forums:

Bob has become an official member of heavy power metallers Firewind, the band of famous guitar virtuoso Gus G. and made his debut with them in their 3rd release “Forged By Fire”, already out in Japan through Toshiba-EMI with a release date for Rest Of World settled for January 2005 through Century Media.
Bob’s debut cd “Turn of My Century” was released in Japan following the success of “Imaginary Force” (entered BURRN! Magazine’s best selling cd charts for 2 months in positions 26 and 41), featuring previously unreleased video clip of “Scary Groovie” and 5 minute keyboard and guitar jamming/shredding by Bob, as well as new, amazing cover artwork made by Havancsak Gyula who also did the artwork for the latest Annihilator cd “All For You” as well as for their forthcoming DVD release.
Imaginery‘s second cd entitled “Long Lost Pride” is out in Japan through Avalon/Marquee records. Bob is now joined by two Swedish fellows, singer Bjorn Jannsson (Tears Of Anger) and bassist Olof Sundfeldt (System Shock) while drums are performed by producer Mark Adrian. This cd includes 11 tracks of Modern Melodic Heavy/Power Metal in the vein of Symphony X, Ark and Children of Bodom. European/R.O.W released will be handled most possibly by Lion Music, Finland. Guest performances/solos by Gus G, Marcel Coenen (Sun Caged) and Michael Harris(Chastain).
Bob has just finished editing Nightfall’s first promo video (also directed by him) for the track “Swollen” out of Greek gothic-deathsters’ new cd entitled: “Lyssa: Rural Gods And Astonishing Punishments” where he has recorded keyboards and guitars as in previous release “I Am Jesus”.
Jeff Waters, guitarist and main man of the legendary annihilator, has confirmed his appearance in Bob Katsionis’ next, 3rd studio album. Also featured in this next release will be once again guitar master Marcel Coenen.
Annihilator mainman/guitarist Jeff Waters has announced the release of "Annihilator Jam - All For You" album. "This CD is for all the metal guitarists out there who've always wanted to jam along with a CD but actually be the guitarist in the band," reads a posting on the group's web site
The CD consists of all the official release tracks without any rhythm guitar tracks. You can now play along and jam to the entire "All For You" CD (AFM Records) with Annihilato's session drummer Mike Mangini, singer Dave Padden and Jeff Waters on bass and lead guitars. Also jam with Annihilator to the song "Weapon X", from the EP "The One" (AFM Records).
As there will be many non-guitarist/Annihilator fans purchasing this CD as well, there are also two special bonus tracks: "Annihilator" - the first-ever Annihilator recording, featuring original singer and lyric co-writer John Bates and "Back to the Palace", a live bootleg track of Annihilator live in Moscow 2000.
Annihilator mainman Jeff Waters has posted several audio clips backing up his claim that he is the fastest/tightest-picking guitarist in the world. Check out the clips here.
I was sitting here yesterday thinking of how I could stir up a bit of poop in the good ole USA; we don't get any coverage there, remember, and our 10th studio CD 'All For You' is due out today in the USA on The End Records. So i figured I would make up a silly statement like that (fastest/tightest picking guitarist in the world!), well-hidden in my answers to some fan questions, but knowing, very well, that my two favorite metal web sites would immediately seize that one short sentence and headline it! hehe! They did.
Now thousands of USA metal kids are all talking about me; most not very nicely, but talking all the same! Funny thing how quick people immediately respond 'no he ain't' and they either haven't heard me before OR have only heard the 'All For You' clip OR have only heard 'Alice'/'Neverland'!
And by the way, I couldn't care less about who can play fast... all you fans here know that this is the furthest thing from my mind. But I am the fastest, if you factor in tightest picking; they just don't know it so they react aggresively! Pretty interesting human nature. I think I will still run with that statement because it is getting us a lot of talk in the USA right now and, more importantly, I can also back it up!
