Michigan metal band Red I Flight has issued the following update:
"So we are currently working on recording two new tracks. 'This is progress' and 'WAVES' will be posted on our page soon. Drums and guitars were recorded during this past week."
"Our bass player got in to a car accident last night, all for the love of music. Vocals are today, so the songs should be up soon."
In light of their ongoing line-up instability, Michigan's Red I Flight is apparently calling it quits. Since forming in 2002 the group has self-released a demo EP in addition to a full-length with Victory Records. Their final show will take place on December 22nd at Static Age in Romeo, Michigan.

Red I Flight has announced the imminent departure of drummer Jesse Robinson. His final show with the group will take place on April 16th at the Ritz in Warren, Michigan. The band comments:
"Everyone please come out to the show. Jesse is leaving the band and this will be his final show. We also are celebrating Mike and Erics birthday at this show since they are so close. We really appreciate having anyone and everyone coming out new fans and old and all the friends we have met along the way. We appreciate all your support and hope to see you there. Please help us spread the word and come out for the show. It would mean the world to all of us, including Jesse."

This year will mark the tenth anniversary of the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival, the largest and most successful metal festival in the United States.
This year’s show, presented by ESP, Randall, EMG, and exclusive magazine presenter Metal Maniacs Magazine, will take place the weekend of April 25-27 at the Palladium in Worcester, Mass., its home since its inception. Sumerian Records will sponsor the “Summer Slaughter Tour” second stage.
The New England Metal and Hardcore Festival will present Gigantour featuring Megadeth, In Flames, Children of Bodom, Job for a Cowboy and High on Fire on Friday night. Saturday will be headlined by Dimmu Borgir, Shadows Fall, and Behemoth. Ministry, Meshuggah, and Nevermore will close out the festival on Sunday night.

Red I Flight will film footage from a live show this weekend for use in an upcoming video for their Victory Records debut. The free show will take place at the Ritz Theater in Warren, Michigan. According to the band, "tell all of your friends and we will see you there."

As previously reported, Dance Club Massacre are touring the US through much of December in support of their 2007 release “Feast of the blood Monsters.”
Victory Records' recent signing of Michigan metal/hardcore outfit Red I Flight has officially been announced. Formed in 2002, the band has shared the stage with groups such as Deftones, Atreyu, The Black Dahlia Murder, and Every Time I Die over the years. Look for their Victory debut to surface in 2008.
