Québec's Prodisk have issued the following update:
"PAROXYSM is currently looking for an experienced drummer, able to play brutal and somewhat technical death metal (that is, songs from their first album Revelation Is Denied and their latest Scars Of The Art)."
"The ideal candidate must own his drums, must be mature and creative (they'll be writing new songs shortly), must be able to combine "blast beats", "double bass drums" techniques and proceed to multiple changes in tempo. He must be able to contribute to the band's financial liabilities (rehearsal space, etc.). Also, being able to communicate in French with band-mates is an asset, but not primordial."
"They rehearse at La Cité 2000 (2000 Notre-Dame / corner Papineau) in Montréal, mostly on Monday and Thursday nights. If interested, please contact them on MySpace or at email@example.com."
Québec's Prodisk have issued the following update:
"Franck Camus and PAROXYSM just announced that due to personal differences, drummer Franck Camus will not be beating the skins for the band anymore. Franck has had a major role in the rise of Paroxysm as one of the promising and dominant acts on the Québec metal scene. If anything else, the release of the utterly brutal Scars Of The Art is proof of that. The album was recently commended by the critics and sales are rapidly increasing. The band is currently looking for a replacement and an official announcement will be made soon regarding auditions. For additional information, contact our media relations person at firstname.lastname@example.org."
Paroxysm's new album, Scars Of The Art, was issued on October 23rd via Prodisk.
PAROXYSM just posted 'Das Experiment', the new single from their forthcoming Scars Of The Art album, to be released on Prodisk. According to a press release, "Montreal’s brutal death masters are back with a vengence with a monster follow up to their 2004 GWN release Revelation is Denied. Their new material is an apocalyptic storm that is heavier, tighter, faster and more technical than ever. Produced by the band with the help of Jean-Philippe Latour behind the board, Scars of the Art takes Paroxysm in the high spheres of brutality."
Scars of the Art will be distributed across Canada (Fusion3) from October 23rd, as well as in the USA (Manic, The End, Very) and in Europe (PHD).
The band will officially launch the album in Montreal at Club Soda in 26th October, playing with SUFFOCATION, IMMOLATION and SKINLESS.
