Nightshade Cancels Chicago Show

Nigthshade has issued the following update about canceling an upcoming show in Chicago:

"Rick Scythe here, I'm sorry to inform you that Nightshade will NOT be able to perform this Saturday night at Metal Shakers due to health reasons. I came down with what I thought was a bad cold over the weekend, but then when the symptoms got worse over the week I went to the doctor and it turned out I have pneumonia.

"I am so sorry to report this. I wanted to kick my 'cold' all week, but I can barely breath right now, much less sing. We still hope that people will go out and show their support for the fantastic, Asskicker! as well as the other bands on the bill.

"I'll be fine, but just not in time for the show. I really wish this wasn't the case, but it is. We'll keep you posted with our next plans and hope to reschedule something soon."

Nightshade Post New Song Online

Former USURPER guitarist Rick Scythe has issued the following update on his NIGHTSHADE project:

"We just posted a 'new' song. It's actually not new at all, but the first song ever written and recorded for NightShade called, 'Eye Of The Crow' (listen here). Although this is still a bit of a rough-version, it will give you an idea of some of the other material which will be on the debut NightShade album (Majick Potion). Let us know if you dig it."

"Speaking of the new NightShade album, we have solicited our CD to a few labels and hopefully in the next couple months we will have something worked out. The idea is to release our debut album this year and then hit the road. We want to be pretty selective about shows. We are working on some ideas for a cool set design and really prefer quality over quantity, and obscurity over over-saturated 'hipster-ness'. We really hope to distance ourselves from the Hipster stranglehold that has it's grip on the music scene in general. We have no desire to try to make NightShade fit in with any particular scene." NightShade Post New Song Online

Former USURPER guitarist Rick Scythe has issued the following update on his NIGHTSHADE project:

"As some of you might know, we just posted a new song today called 'Midnight, Down In The Lab'. This song is the first song ever with Igor slammin' the drums on. We also included the lyrics once again so you can figure out what the hell I'm talkin' about. The entire demo will be posted in a few weeks for your listening and downloading pleasure, at that time, 'Midnight, Down In The Lab' will be taken down. This song is just a rough mix of the track for the debut NightShade album."

Listen to 'Midnight, Down In The Lab' here.

As previously reported, Nightshade's upcoming album, Majick Potion, will also include the tracks: 'The Boy Who Cried Werewolf' and 'Opus Dei Of The Dead'.
