The latest full-length from the Chicago-by-way-of-Florida progressive tech metallers is a mammoth multi-textured audio adventure recorded with Sanford Parker (Minsk, Buried At Sea, Yakuza) at Earth Analog Studios in Chicago.
Relays band founder Eric Hersemann: "Multi-Dimensional Fractal Sorcery and Super Science will materialize here on Earth on October 15th and this newest recording is just one more piece in the ever-evolving Gigan puzzle of audible, extreme psychedelia. As you experience your first listen, sit back and let the sounds wash over you...the music should take you to many places if you allow it to do so. There are many subtleties and colors to explore. Enjoy all of the terrible beauty and focused aggression. More...
Extreme tech metal mind-mashers Gigan today unleash another new track from the "Multi-Dimensional Fractal Sorcery And Super-Science" album. Titled "Mother of Toads," the twisted tune of torment comes by way of Invisible Oranges and can be heard below.
Describes guitarist Eric Hersemann, "'Mother of Toads' is the fourth song on Multi-Dimensional Fractal Sorcery And Super-Science and it is directly inspired by the short story of the same name written by Clark Ashton Smith. Essentially the story and lyrics speak of an old crone hidden away in the dark recesses of a marsh, a witch motivated by a sinister hunger for seduction and evil. The music itself reflects the chaos of her world and her crawling minions, as well as the giddy confusion experienced by those caught within her spell... a combination of terror, revulsion and unearthly beauty."
The extreme psychedelic tech metal eccentrics in Gigan are pleased to announce the Ritualistic Projection Tour 2013 headlining trek.

Today Revolver Magazine seeks to bend your brain with second track, "Influence Through Ritualistic Projection." Check it out below.
Elaborates Gigan master of molecular meltdowns, Eric Hersemann, of the tune: "'Influence Through Ritualistic Projection’ is the second track on Multi-Dimensional Fractal Sorcery and Super Science. The song centers around a race of beings known as the Uumpluuy that, through science and Magick, have influenced countless worlds in both negative and positive ways. They have achieved this by projecting their subconscious forms into various realms and making subtle changes in both the environment and mentalities of the indigenous races."
And if you missed it, you can still check out the otherworldly sounds of "Electro-Stimulated Hallucinatory Response," at this location.
The album was recorded with Sanford Parker (Minsk, Buried At Sea, Yakuza) at Earth Analog Studios in Chicago and will be released in North America via Willowtip Records on October 15th, 2013. More...

Psychedelic extreme metal marauders Gigan recently completed the recording of their upcoming new studio offering.
Titled "Multi-Dimensional Fractal Sorcery And Super-Science," the band’s third full-length, and second to be released through label imprint Willowtip Records, was recorded with sound sage Sanford Parker (Minsk, Buried At Sea, Yakuza) at Earth Analog Studios in Chicago. Elaborates Gigan mastermind, Eric Hersemann:
"Multi-Dimensional Fractal Sorcery And Super Science is the best musical representation of Gigan so far, as it captures the essential elements of the first three releases while still stretching the existing boundaries of the Gigan Universe! I had more time to work on this album and the result is a detailed and mesmerizing assault of Psychedelic Extreme Metal! The production also came out spectacularly, with natural sounds and tones complemented by an un-earthly ambience and enigmatic vibe..."

Elaborates Gigan mastermind, Eric Hersemann, "This third Gigan record is proving to be the most concise and deadly so far. I'm very pleased with the overall dynamics and vibe the current music is creating within our minds. This is the first Gigan record I have written outside of Florida and my new environment here in Chicago has provided unique inspiration that resulted in some complex and bizarre results. Psychedelic brutality at its finest."
In related news, Gigan’s first show of 2013 will come in the form of the Scion Rock Fest 2013 set to take place in Memphis, Tennessee on June 1st. Century Media Records has issued the following announcement about Grave starting a North American tour at the end of the month:
"As one of the very first Swedish death metal bands, the now classic Grave has inspired countless metal acts to deliver unrelenting death metal to the masses. While others have fallen victim to the latest music trends, they've persevered the metal ages by remaining true to their roots since their humble beginnings in 1988. They truly are the Motorhead of death metal-GRAVE has never broken-up, reunited, or deviated from their same, classic sound! To celebrate the longevity of their career and the 20th anniversary of their debut album, 'Into The Grave,' Grave will be touring North America this August and September."
In regards to the band's upcoming tour, vocalist/guitarist Ola Lindgren comments:
"We are really psyched to get over to the states and Canada again after 5 years of absence. It's great to be back on the Century Media train again and to celebrate the 20th anniversary of 'Into the Grave' with another visit to North America. During the summer festivals here in Europe, we set out to play the entire first album from start to finish in the order that the songs are on the album. It turned out to be extremely well received from our fans, so we decided to bring the concept on the road for this upcoming tour. Since we are headlining, there will be more material than just the 'Into' album of course. So be there or be square...C y'all!"
