Latest Morbid Remains News
Below is our complete Morbid Remains news coverage, including columns and articles pertaining to the band. Some articles listed may be indirectly related, such as side projects of the band members, etc.
Swindon death act Morbid Remains have posted a demo of their forthcoming track "With No Remorse" online at their official myspace.
The band has not long had a change in line up and now feature former members of Kilians Red and more.
Promising young Swindon (England) metal band have announced their end. This comes as a huge blow to the Swindon metal scene as Kilians Red were a strong part and influenced many bands in the area with an inspiring subtle way of keeping metal live in a town where metalcore, emo, screamo and hardcore are the main flavours.
Kilians Red seemed to be doing really well for themselves until bassist Joe Bishop departed at the end of June and vocalist Tom Norris also left the group, just over a month ago. Though Kilians Red announced they'd be looking for another bassist and singer, guitarist Dan Carter followed suit and left join Morbid Remains. Founding/ ending members Jon Jones and Alex Mason have not issued a statement regarding the end of the bandor what they plan to do next but more likely than not, they will surface together in a new outfit.
The following message has been posted by Morbid Remains:
"Lots of things to be said
First of all sadly we've had to say goodbye to Adam and Dayve.. this was a BAND decision and we wish the both of them the best of luck in the future in future projects or anything that they decide to do in the future.
We hope there is no bad blood between us and adam and dayve.
We'd like to announce the new members we've added to our lineup on Drums we've obtained the skill of Joel Blake whose other project Blessed by Death proves his abilty tenfold.
On guitar we've called in Dan Carter ex Kilians Red! He's an INSANE Guitarist and he's geared up to fuck!
So all in all you can expect a WAY tighter better sounding us both live and recorded. We're going to have new recordings up very soon which will be recorded by Dan Turner hopefully who works with Andy Sneap and has recorded bands such as 3 inches of blood and cradle of filth!! So the new CD will sound awesome :D
GIGS WISE we have more gigs up on the page Check them out.
Recently reformed young British death metal act Morbid Remains have posted a brand new song called "Boundaries (To Be Broken)" on their official myspace
The band have not long finished playing their comeback gig to which they had this to say:
"Thanks to EVERYONE who came and especially the guys who sang along!
We look forward to all shows being like that :))"
The following message has been posted via The Scarlet Hourglass's official Myspace:
"In light of the events of two weeks ago, I'd just like to make a few things clear.
First off, there is absolutely no bad blood between Davey and I and Greg, Dayve and Gavin. We respect their decision to leave and feel it's up to them the music we want to play.
Even though officially the band ended two weeks ago, I've decided that this is the music i want to play. And im not gonna let the band die that easily. New members (some of which may be very familiar faces to people who follow the uk music scene) are already lined up, and new songs in the writing process, aswell as keeping the same name and all the old songs.
The Scarlet Hourglass is not dead, not by a long fucking shot! =]
If you've read this, it would be much appreciated if you could spread the word
Daryl - The Scarlet Hourglass"
Departed member's Greg, Dayve and Gavin (who have rejoined their old outfit Morbid Remains) will play as part of the band for a special comeback show tonight with In Numbers We Wait and Democide
Unfortunately it seems the promising young British death metal act The Scarlet Hourglass have decided to call it a day. The band were rapidly gaining popularity among the UK scene. Members Greg, Dayve and Gavin had left the band to take part in the reformation of their former band Morbid Remains. Their gig on the 21st at Swindon's Furnace club will obviously no longer feature them (neither as headliners as scheduled or otherwise). Morbid Remains, Democide and In Numbers We Wait are still scheduled to perform on the date.
