Pomona, California thrashers BONDED BY BLOOD have recently completed recording their new album, EXILED TO EARTH, and have posted a brand new track, "Prototype: Death Machine," on their MySpace page.
BONDED BY BLOOD vocalist JOSE BARRALES comments, "Exiled To Earth will destroy you! 'Prototype: Death Machine' is a sign of things to come. BBB will demolish YOU!"
"EXILED TO EARTH" is set 600 years in the future and tells the tale of the Crong, an alien race who were sent to Earth long ago with one goal: global domination. A skilled group of warriors must now face the impossible and overthrow the Crong to take back our planet. More...
Pomona, California thrashers BONDED BY BLOOD are currently in the studio recording their brand new album, "EXILED TO EARTH." The band are at Highland Recorders with producer Ralph Patlan (WHITE WIZZARD, MEGADETH, UFO), recording the follow-up to their ripping 2008 debut album, "FEED THE BEAST."
BONDED BY BLOOD guitarists Alex Lee and Juan Juarez have finished recording their parts for the new album. Check out video footage of the young shredders tearing it up in the studio below:
On the 31 Dec 1999, no planes came crashing out of the sky, nuclear bombs went off or microwave ovens tried to eat anyone. However, times were about to change and in the metal scene change was already well underway. Let us take a stroll through the decade in metal that was.
Many of the 90s big names like Emperor and Pantera prepared to give their last venomous scream dying off in the wake of ever diminishing interest in the metal scene that had plagued the 90s. In the year 2000 a band named “Limp Bizkit” came out with an album called "Chocolate Starfish and the Hotdog Flavoured Water" and in a storm nu-metal took over the public perception of heavy music, changing the face of metal irreparably. Although nu-metal had already been pioneered by Korn, bands like Deftones, Disturbed, Mudvayne and Linkin Park all had breakout releases in 2000. More...
Pomona, CA thrashers BONDED BY BLOOD have recently began recording the long-awaited follow-up to their 2008 debut, FEED THE BEAST. The band has set up camp in Phoenix, AZ to record their new album at Highland Recorders with producer, Ralph Patlan (WHITE WIZZARD, MEGADETH, UFO). The band has been keeping a regular studio blog on their MySpace page and posted a update on the 9th about what they've been recording:
"Today is day 4 and have a day off today after couple days of hard work. Began tracking rhythm tracks last night and will go back into the studio tomorrow morning to finish them up. Everything seems to be coming out really well. Look out for more updates on the album, more pictures and footage coming soon." More...
Guitarist Juan Juarez of Bonded By Blood has issued the following update from the recording studio:
"We are now on day 3 and close to getting all the drum tracks done. Its been a lot of fun just watching and playing along with Bimbo for the past 2 days recording drums tracks. He has for sure been working hard and has done a great job. Ralph definitely knows his shit, its been fun working with him. Today I will begin tracking all rhythm guitars. I'm really excited to get this shit done so be ready for destruction, my stupid hoes!"
Drummer Carlos Regalado also commented:
"So far the drums sound amazing, we have been at it for 2 days straight. We should be finishing up in a couple hours and finally moving on to guitars, just making sure everything sounds perfect and there's nothing that sounds funny or off time. Our producer Ralph has been the coolest guy ever to work with, I am really enjoying how the album is coming out, he really knows his shit. I'm having a blast making 'Exiled to Earth,' feed the beast was kinda rushed, I feel really comfortable and cant wait for everyone to hear how sweet this shit sounds."
Young California thrash metal band Bonded By Blood has announced that they will shortly be entering the studio to record their second full length studio album, tentatively titled, "World Gone Mad." This will mark the recording debut of the band's new bass player Jerry Garcia, who stated:
"I'm really excited to record my debut album with Bonded By Blood. With Ralph (Patlan, producer) on our side, the outcome will be a heavy, technical speed metal explosion in your ears."
The album is expected to be released sometime in the Spring through Earache Records.
Bonded By Blood has issued the following statement about finishing the writing process for their new album:
"Well where to start. We had a great run this yr with the tours in support for Feed The Beast we did a west coast tour a full USA tour and 2 European tours. We got great feedback and had lots of fun. A lot has happened since then. We have been working really hard to give you a great 2nd album. We don't want to disappoint and I'm pretty sure you wont be. We also lost a great friend and bassist but quickly found a great replacement in a guy named Jerry Garcia, some of you locals may know him as the Taking Over Bassist, which has brought great ideas to the BBB table. Now on to the juicy stuff...
"The new album: We are almost done writing. We have also demoed some songs for our listening pleasure. It also helps me write lyrics. I have shown some of my really close friends and allies and they love it. Its a step up from the old stuff and a step in the right direction. We have a couple of album names floating around but nothing is set in stone. We have narrowed down some studios in LA and around the area as well as producers. There is also a really cool artist that instantly captivated our eyes with his work I'm pretty sure you will love him as well once you see the art. The sound and subject matter is a bit different than our last attempt but in a good way. Its heavier fast and a bit more technical and precise. Still has that BBB taste. We are trying to get in the studio in December or maybe even January. So this new untitled album will be out early next yr. I know you cant wait to get your palms on it. Shit Im fucking excited to get my palms on it. More...
Bonded By Blood has issued the following statement about canceling their upcoming European tour dates:
"We are sorry to announce that Bonded by Blood has been forced to cancel the rest of the European Massacre Tour with Fueled by Fire. Though our first part of the tour in the UK with Cauldron started out really good, we had a series of unfortunate events in the rest of Europe with Fueled by Fire and what was supposed to be Suicidal Angels. The tour was looking bad from the beginning due to poor organizing and lack of communication with the booking agency. There was also some close calls with the drivers, who weren't very experienced in long drives or driving outside of their own country.
"As some of you may know, Suicidal Angels dropped early on the tour and we almost called it quits with them. When some of the problems seemed to be resolved, we decided to give it another try and continue on the tour. Neurasthenia, thrash metal from Italy, decided they would come on tour with us last second, and we thank them very much. We finally got into contact with the booking agency and more dates were being confirmed. More importantly, we were going to receive a new driver, so there was hope that we weren't going to die on tour.
"First show in our second attempt to continue this tour was moved 4 hours from where we were told it was supposed to be. We were forced to cancel yet another show(sorry to every one in Czech republic). The last straw came when the new driver messed up the van in the middle of a highway where there was no shoulder lane. Luckily, a random Hungarian dude helped us continue and we didn't have to cancel any Hungary dates. From that moment, we decided this tour was not worth the risk financially, but most importantly we were risking the lives of our band members. More...
Bonded By Blood has issued the following road report on their current European tour:
"So this is the first show in our UK/Euro tour. We had just one week off at home and it was back to the destroy the world. We had never been to Scotland so I did not know what to expect. It was a friday night full of beer fun and moshing. We played at a placed named The Classic Grand. We had 2 pretty damn cool opening bands. A lot of bands dont really grab my attention but these two made me headbang like no other. It was Amok and Circle of Tyrants. They were both pretty damn cool and very energetic. This was also the first time checking out Cauldron. I had just heard a bit from them on myspace never really stuck around and listened very well. they put on a good show and they pretty cool guys. For being the first time in Glasgow and people treated us like legends. We will be coming back soon.
"We love you Scotland. Edingburg Tonight." More...

Earache Records has issued the following statement about Bonded By Blood recording a cover of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle's theme song:
"The Empire State Building will light the NYC sky with green tonight. No, it's not Earth Day hangover. It's to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. One person who wishes he was here to see this is BONDED BY BLOOD frontman, Jose "Aladdin" Barrales.
"Jose's life was largely impacted by the 4 heroes in a half shell. "I got into TMNT around age 5. At that age looking into a tv screen and watching a bunch of turtles that are kicking ass was a really big deal." After an entire childhood following the 4 mutated sewer dwellers, Jose amassed an impressive collection of Turtles memorabilia throughout the years. "They are still a big part of my life and I keep most of the TMNT toys and comics in a box next to my other collectibles. I still have an original Michelangelo in its package - I'm proud of that one." The Turtles have experienced a major resurgence in popularity over the last few years, but to Jose and the rest of BONDED BY BLOOD, the larger than life stars of cartoons, comics, toys and games were always as big as ever. Their feelings shine through in their fun cover of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme song on 2008's FEED THE BEAST. More...

Greek thrash metal band Suicidal Angels has announced a European tour alongside fellow young thrashers Bonded By Blood and Fueled By Fire. A message from the band reads as follows:
"As some of you may already know, we are currently recording our new album in Germany, under the direction of producer and MYSTIC PROPHECY lead singer R.D. Liapakis. The recording sessions are going well and we are enjoying a very fruitful working environment, in a nice little village near Munich, under constant snowfall (!). Soon the album will be ready and details about its release will be disclosed in the near future.
"However, it was about time we had confirmation to announce the European tour we were working on for quite some time now! Without further adieu: Suicidal Angels will roam Europe again, along with BONDED BY BLOOD and FUELLED BY FIRE! The tour sets off in England on May 7 and will continue throughout continental Europe until mid June. We are very excited to be part of this touring thrash holocaust and can't wait to hook up with the guys from BBB and FBF to thrash our way through all the cities and towns we'll visit! You can find out more about dates and venues at our profile page and we sure hope to meet you all on tour. It will be nice to present you our new album, along with tunes from our previous release, Eternal Domination. By the way, the tour poster will appear online in a few days.
"Be well and take care! The time draws near!"
California thrashers Bonded By Blood have announced that they will be writing up a blog for every day of their current Masters of Disaster tour alongside Witchaven and Exmortus. The blog was updated today with the following two entries:
"3/7/09 Tempe Az-The Sets So here we are lovely hot AZ. I knew we were in AZ once we crossed the Nevada/Arizona border once the climate started to change. We ended up arriving in Chandler AZ around around 10 am. Right when we came in the door we knocked the fuck out. Woke up around one and was really excited for later on that night. Playing with ourbuddies Vektor and Deceptor we couldnt go wrong. So after everyone showers and have a couple of brews we head out to Tempe to play for what turned out to be a pretty bad ass crowd. The ride from Chandler to Tempe was a bout 30m minutes or so and it was a fun one. We were all anticipating this show since AZ is like a 2nd home to us. Once we arrive we we get greeted by all our Arizonian buddies and it felt great. This time there was a couple of locals that opened up the show and it was some of the best bands AZ has to offer. I got inside when Deceptor was playing and they had a great set and a great hometown crowd. Witchaven got up and anihhalted the crowd as people asked for more. More...
Bonded By Blood, who are currently on tour with Exmortus and Witchaven, have issued the following recap after the first show of the tour:
"Let me keep you up to date one everything thats going on in the touring world of BBB. We started our way of California on March 6th 2009 @ 12 am on our way to Las Vegas. By this time we were already packed and had Exmortus with us. We ended up passing by Hesperia where we waited for Witchaven and sooner than later we were already on our way. 4 hrs later we ended up in famous Las Vegas. Our destination was your run of the mill 21 and over bar named "The Four Aces". We get there around 6 or 7. The place looked kind of dead no one really there. We finally talk to the promoter around 8 he says the show does not start till 930. So we wait aroudn and set up merch . Bar lady asks us if we are all over age and at first i thought she was going to be a dick about not everyone being over age but she ended up being cool and let us all in. The time was set it end it up being 9 and Witchaven was setting up for what set to be a very killer set they put on. Ive seen these guys a couple times but they really stepped it up on this new material. About 30 min later it was Exmortus turn and the crowd was really digging it. Drunken assholes all over the place. The clock struck 11 it was BBB's turn to hit the stage. People shouting names of our songs beer flying everywhere. It was a great start of a tour. We ended the night by hitting the strip eating some food and driving our asses to AZ. Tonight should be killer. Quote of The day for vegas:"Shut up you dumbass bitch. Ill knock your tooth out with my pito" -Mario Moreno."
Earache Records has issued the following statement about the upcoming Bonded By Blood U.S. tour dates:
"Pomona, CA thrash phenoms, BONDED BY BLOOD are hitting the road starting THIS FRIDAY for their first full national tour with EXMORTUS and WITCHAVEN. It's a lineup so deadly, your soul will be swallowed.
"When reached for a quote, all that BONDED BY BLOOD vocalist, Jose "Aladdin" Barrales had time to say was "Packing my shit, so sorry if this is short. This is going to be long and tiring, but so much fun." Who can blame him for a short quote? This will be the band's first run that covers the entire United States. The band's going to have to pack more than usual and bring the thrash to many different places they've never seen before.
"While the band is busy packing and getting ready for some quality time on the road, here are the dates for BONDED BY BLOOD with EXMORTUS and WITCHAVEN on the "Masters of Disaster" tour:" More...
Earache Records has issued the following statement about the upcoming Bonded By Blood tour:
"BONDED BY BLOOD will be playing their first cross-country shows on the Masters of Disaster tour. Alongside fellow thrash acts, EXMORTUS and WITCHAVEN, BONDED BY BLOOD vocalist, Jose "Aladdin" Barrales looks to take a little bit of the LA thrash scene to every town they play. As the excitable frontman explains, "This is our first Full US tour and we are really excited to play all over the US as more and more fans seem to want us to play their hometown."
"However as sweet as the tour is for each band on the bill, there is always the inevitable sour. Metal Maniacs magazine, as has been reported, has closed its doors. Before the esteemed metal institution went out of business, they had lent their name as the main sponsor for the tour. "Im honored and saddened that Metal Maniacs is sponsoring this tour" says Jose, who elaborates his position. "I'm honored that its a metal mag for metal fans that has always kept an eye out for smaller bands and I'm saddened that they are closing their doors. Thats one less mag of a scarce few there is that metal fan can get his hands on."
"Despite the bittersweet feelings that the closing of Metal Maniacs has brought to the tour, all of the bands intend to keep the underground spirit of the magazine alive by personally making sure that at each show no head is left unbanged and each body has been thoroughly thrashed.

For the past few weeks, Irish thrashers Gama Bomb have been making their way across Europe on the Thrashing Like A Maniac tour with LA shredders Bonded By Blood and UK support act Sworn Amongst, spreading the good word of thrash wherever they go.
The band comments on the tour so far: "So here we are, two weeks into our five-week European tour. We've already come so far and done so much we can't do it justice in a simple, mortal blog, but here goes: we started in Berlin, where we accidentally played to a neo-Nazi biker gang, then we wound through Europe, finding ourselves in the Italian wilderness, high in the Alps and sweltering at the far end of Portugal along the way. It's been very, very hot so far, but we're now encountering a cooler, Northern European leg of the tour."
Along with a night of thrash metal music, Gama Bomb is offering something else to the fans who attend the shows: redemption. Gama Bomb recently announced their Stamp Out Inferior Metal campaign. At each show of the 10,000-mile, eleven-country Thrashing Like A Maniac European tour, Gama Bomb invites and encourages you to bring along the worst of your music collections - the embarrassing, the awkward and the downright rubbish CDs, records and merchandise hidden amongst your better purchases - and to collect them together so both you and Gama Bomb can do what should have been done long ago - ritually shred, stamp and smash the living hell out of them! Bring them to a show, whereupon they will be ceremoniously smashed, stamped on, frisbee'd and generally destroyed as part of the set, live onstage. More...
