Arsonists Get All The Girls Recording New Album
California act Arsonists Get All The Girls is set to head into the studio and record a new album with Zack Ohren at Castle Ultimate. The as-yet-untitled release will be the band's third slab of craziness for Century Media and fourth overall but, this time, vocalist Jared Monnette says the band is developing a brand new sound:
"This record is packed with a metric shit-ton of different sounds, directions, styles and grind. We've really tried to incorporate a new sound while keeping the important elements of AGATG, while letting the past year and half's experience and stories of tour steer the rest of the album. We've been through quite a bit in the recent year, and it's almost impossible to not incorporate all of our travel tales into the new sound. Every song has something special to offer, or a new story to tell that allows anyone listening a temporary escape. If its not the first song that you'll enjoy, then it will be the next. We've taken the next step in progressing our music, and it may be the first into a full sprint.”
The band expects to have the new LP ready for a mid-2011 release. Additional details will be announced as they are made available.

Norma Jean Signs To Razor and Tie Records
Acclaimed post-hardcore heavy rockers Norma Jean has signed with Razor & Tie and is planning a 2010 album release. The band will headline the "Explosions 2009" US tour in late November through December. This is the band's first headlining trek since the Fall of last year and boasts an impressive lineup of Horse The Band, The Chariot and Arsonists Get All The Girls.
In January Norma Jean will head into the studio to record a new album for a 2010 summer release.
Cory Brandan of Norma Jean comments, "If we didn't sign to Razor & Tie, I think we would have gone on a killing spree, with no regard for life or limb. I think for the first time in our career, upon presenting our ideas, we get to hear the word "yes" more often. It's like discovering an unknown tribe on a distant island. Except we're the tribe and we don't know your language. Plus we have spears and swords and we're cannibals. Either way, we're insanely animated about R&T showing up and want to try on their Nike Air Jordans."
