Don The Reader and Guitarist Part Ways
Don The Reader has parted ways with guitarist Taylor Hoff. Obviously unhappy with the group's depiction of his departure, Hoff has issued the following:
"Despite rumors of being kicked out, I have willingly and un-regrettably left Don the Reader. They did not kick me out, and they in no way had any choice or authority over my leaving. The blatant lies to all fans via reply to comments stating they kicked me out are false and should be looked upon as a definition of their character."
Don The Reader Finishes Recording Debut Album
Don The Reader recently finished recording their debut full-length. Titled "Humanesque," the effort was recorded at Trax East studios with Eric Rachel (Every Time I Die) and will be available this summer via Deathcote Records.
Don The Reader Cancels Tour
Don The Reader has cancelled their upcoming tour, stating the following:
"Due to unforeseen circumstances, the October 21 through November 4th tour has unfortunately been cancelled. We are super sorry, but we promise you we will be back in your area very soon! Check for new dates, soon."
Don The Reader Posts 7 Song EP Online
Deathcote Records, the newly founded metal and hardcore arm of New York-based indie label Dovecote Records (Aberdeen City, Mason Proper) are giving away a 7 song EP from Los Angeles' own DON THE READER in support of their current national tour. A limited run of CDs will be available at live shows containing three additional demos tracks of songs from their upcoming album out early 2008
