Blut Aus Nord Posts "Cosmosophy" Teaser

Blut Aus Nord has posted a teaser trailer online for the band's new album "777 - Cosmosophy," which can be viewed below. The album will be released in North America on October 9th, 2012. Debemur Morti Productions also commented on the release:

"The denouement. The calm after the storm (but, still, disquiet interrupts the serenity); when the floods have washed away the debris. The circle is closed. Haunting, dreamlike, an altered state has been achieved. All-knowing wisdom prevails. At one with all -- omniscient. Soaring, alive with insight, bursting with extra-ordinary energy. Almighty. At the centre of an infinite structure in perpetual deconstruction, '777 - Cosmosophy' represents the instinctive manifestation of human and obsolete conception of Time. Where the light feeds the darkness, where every second is the Eternity and sounds the death knell - the monumental work of the eccentric soul gets lost in a deep echo... and this echo is the sublime Sound of the Universe.

"A beautiful tragedy; a tragic beauty. Devastatingly restrained, the climactic movement in the monumental '777' trilogy represents the culmination of a rapturous evolutionary process. Arguably Blut Aus Nord's most-daring venture yet, the third and final chapter represents both the beginning and the end. Et le Chaos se tut..."

Blut Aus Nord Delays New Album "777 - Cosmosophy"

Debemur Morti Productions has checked in with the following announcement about delays in the release of the new Blut Aus Nord album:

"Let's get rid of the bad news first : contrary to recently mentioned on our Facebook page, the last chapter of the '777' trilogy won't be released in May. Vindsval thinks the album isn't excellent enough and will work further on it.

"It is absolutely vital that '777 - Cosmosophy' represents a fitting denouement to the trilogy. If all goes according to plan, it will be out at the end of September.

"Now that the bad news has been dispersed, we're really proud to announce that, 16 years after its original release, 'Memoria Vetusta I - Fathers Of The Icy Age' is ready for a proper vinyl release. The majestic artwork was crafted by Valnoir Mortasonge and can be seen here. Pre-orders will be taken soon and we expect this to be released within 4 weeks."

Blut Aus Nord Set Release Date For New Album

Candlelight Records has confirmed October 3rd as the US release date of MoRT, the eagerly anticipated new album from French extremists Blut Aus Nord. The album adds to the band's trilogy of albums and growing stateside sales and fanbase.

Introduced to US audiences via their early 2004 Candlelight debut The Work Which Transforms God and 2005 issue of their previously unavailable catalog Memoria Vestusta and Ultima Thulee, Brave Words Bloody Knuckles says, "Blut Aus Nord pushes the definition of music; disfigured, anti-social, pure, raw black metal... Eccentric." Ultimate Metal calls The Work Which Transforms God, "grim, forward-thinking... probably one of the most amazing black metal albums of the last several years."

With MoRT, Blut Aus Nord have crafted an album that is complex, haunting and sure to draw the band continued fan and media applause. A singular composition consisting of eight united chapters, MoRT contains the gruesome soundtrack that has quickly become the trio’s acclaimed hallmark. Nearly two years in the making, the album incorporates uniquely innovative guitar play (layering similar to early Emperor), a corrosive rhythm section and bitter vocals. Kerrang says it best when calling the band's music, "the sound of underground metal's black heart, twisted beyond all recognition."

Formed in 1994, the faceless Blut Aus Nord have enjoyed a steadily increasing worldwide sales and fanbase. Metal Maniacs, Terrorizer, Kerrang, Decibel and many others commend the band’s sinister sound, often likened to a metamorphis of Darkthrone, Neurosis and Godflesh.

Candlelight Signs Cadaver and Khold

Candlelight Records announces the addition of Norway's CADAVER and KHOLD to the label's growing worldwide roster. France's Blut Aus Nord, Poland's Niya and England's Mithras also join Candlelight, signalling the label's most aggressive artist acquisition period in its ten-plus year history. All are scheduled to release new albums in the coming months.

Norway's CADAVER date to 1989. The now popular death metal band released their full-length debut Hallucinating Anxiety via Earache Records in 1990, followed by In Pains in 1992. Growing sales and interest, however, could not hold back the rising interest in black metal thus Cadaver would separate in 1993. Reformed (and renamed Cadaver Inc.) in 1999 by founding band member Neddo, the band completed their contract with Earache in 2001 releasing their third album, Discipline . The band would tour with Morbid Angel, Extreme Noise Terror and visit the US for the first time in support of the record, quickly regaining the interest and support they had in 1993. Signing with Candlelight, the band - currently featuring vocalist Apollyon, drummer Czral, bassist LJ Balvaz with guitarist Neddo - drop Inc and prepare for the release of their fourth album, Necrosis . The album is confirmed for US release April 20.

Formed in 2000, KHOLD come to Candlelight with already two previous albums recorded to their credit. Masterpiss of Pain and Phantom (Moonfog) both received high accolades via metal magazines and fans worldwide - no doubt initially inspired by interest from the members, including vocalist/guitarist Gard (Old Mans Child), drummer Sarke (Old Mans Child) and bassist Brandr (Red Harvest), other band associations. The band has been likened to an "updated Bathory or Darkthrone." The band are currently completing their label debut, with release expected in May.
