Amberian Dawn is an independent Finnish metal band. Their music is melodic, dramatic and powerful metal with female classical vocals. Comprised of Tuomas Seppälä (keyboards), Heikki Saari (drums), Peter James Goodman (vocals) and Tommi Kuri (bass), past musical activity has included Virtuocity, Atheme One, Norther Thaurorod, and Lathspell.
As the songs for their first effort neared completion in composition, he band quickly added Heidi Parviainen (Iconofear/Agonia) to replace Goodman on vocals, and Kasperi Heikkilä (Guardians of Mankind, Merging Flare, Iconofear) to take over guitar for original part-timer Sampo Seppälä (Antheme One). They are currently recording their first album, due out in late 2007.

Sorry Xbox 360 rockers, but not every week can be a winner, and it seems like we're hitting a little dead spot for new metal tracks on the Rock Band Network. The only song that comes close to deserving the title this week is from electronic rock/metal act Rivethead. The PS3 will get another Exodus track on the 21st, and the Wii edition continues to play catch up with Five Finger Death Punch and Amberian Dawn. Amberian Dawn has issued the following statement about revealing the cover artwork for the band's new album:
"Here's the cover of our next album 'End Of Eden.' First single Arctica is now available for streaming on Myspace. The album 'End of Eden' is coming out 20th October 2010 by Spinefarm Records. As announced before, keyboardist Jens Johansson (famed for his work with for example Stratovarius, Dio and Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force), opera singer Markus Nieminen and vocalist Peter James Goodman have contributed their talent to this album."

After Emperor invaded the Rock Band Network last week it seemed like things were looking up for extreme metal fans, but alas the trend is slowing down. There's still a few tracks that are worth it for fans of hard rock and metal though, with Amberian Dawn and Bumblefoot coming to the Xbox 360 version and a new Skeletonwitch track hitting the PS3 edition. Friday means another round of songs added to the ever growing Rock Band Network, and this week is now exception. Although many previous metal additions to the network have leaned more towards the rock and metalcore end, this week sees some honest-to-Satan real extreme metal. So pull out those drum pads and warm up your vocal chords, because it's time to convince your neighbors hell has spilled onto Earth with live versions of Emperor's "Curse You All Men!" and "Inno a Satana" (although I can't imagine the bass player will be doing much).

Symphonic metal act Amberian Dawn have announced their signing with Spinefarm Records. The deal comes in time for the band to ready their third studio ablum titled "End of Eden." "End of Eden" has been scheduled for release on October 20th, 2010.
Amberian Dawn have also announced the additions of Tuomas Seppälä (keyboards) and Emil Pohjalainen (guitars) as permanent members of the band.
Finland's Amberian Dawn has issued the following announcement about releasing a new album this coming October:
"Our next album 'End Of Eden' is coming out this October! This new album is going to be heavier than its predecessors with a bigger, more polymorphic sound. Keyboard wizard Jens Johansson (famed for his work with for example Stratovarius and Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force) and opera singer Markus Nieminen makes appearances on this album."

Finland's Amberian Dawn will soon see the release of the song "Incubus," which is off the band's latest album "The Clouds of Northland Thunder," on the Rock Band Network. A video clip of the song being performed on expert mode can be found below.
Finland's Amberian Dawn recorded their 3rd full-length album at Rockstar Productions Studios in Hyvinkää. The band has now posted vocal recording footage from the session, which can be viewed below.
Amberian Dawn has checked in with the following update about Stratovarius keyboardist Jens Johansson performing on their next album:
"We are proud to announce that Mr. Jens Johansson, keyboard player of Stratovarius is going to appear on our next album. Before joining Stratovarius Jens has contributed his talent for bands like DIO and Yngwie J. Malmsteen.
"On this new AD album Jens is playing two keyboard battles with Tuomas Seppälä of AD. There's going to be electricity on the air when these two gentlemen meets each other on the battlefield of keyboards!"
Amberian Dawn has issued the following announcement about their guitarist joining Gamma Ray for a string of tour dates:
"Guitarist Kasperi Heikkinen has been asked to join Gamma Ray as the temporary replacement for guitarist/keyboardist Henjo Richter, who underwent surgery on Tuesday, March 16th for a 'retinal detachment.' Kasperi agreed and it was easy for him to join the band because he has played a few shows with Gamma Ray is same role already in 2006. Amberian Dawn wishes Kasperi a great tour with guys of GammaRay!"

Amberian Dawn are currently working on an upcoming full-length album. The band recently announced they recruited professional baritone opera singer Markus Nieminen to perform on the new album. Additional details on the release will be announced as they are made available.

"We are proud to announce that professional opera singer, baritone Markus Nieminen is going to visit on our next album. Markus have been singing for example in Vienna State Opera, Hamburg State Opera, Sempreoper in Dresden, operahouses in Basil and St. Gallen and in Volksopera Vienna. Amberian Dawn likes to experience with different kind of styles of music. So, on next album of AD, there's going to be one classical piece (a walz) on which Heidi's going to duet with Markus. We are expecting the most special and stunning AD song so far."

Amberian Dawn has issued the following studio recording update:
"Kasperi has finished recording his rhythm parts with 7-string-guitar. It only took a couple of days from him (including the sound check). Drums are also recorded and things are going very smoothly. Check out new pictures from studio here in MySpace. We will also launch a studio blog later, in which we will share some thoughts of players, photographs and videos."
Amberian Dawn has issued the following statement about recording a new album:
"Preparations for the third Amberian Dawn album are well underway. Tuomas, who composes music for AD, has all the new songs ready and Heidi has already started writing lyrics. Recordings begin on November 23rd and the first 'victim' is our drummer Joonas. He has just got his brand new TAMA Starclassic drum kit and it will be interesting to find out how the set sounds in the studio.
"The new album is going to be more diverse, faster and darker than our previous albums. The fastest AD songs to date contrast some extremely slow and heavy songs. There's even going to be a classical music piece. Some guest stars are going to featured on this album. Stay tuned for more information."
Amberian Dawn, who are currently embarked on a European tour with Epia, have announced that they are canceling their tour dates on October 31st in Madrid and November 1st in Lisbon. Amberian Dawn has stated the reason for the cancellations are due to vocalist Simone of Epic coming down with an illness. The tour is currently scheduled to pick up again on November 3rd in Toulouse, France.
Amberian Dawn cancelled yesterday's (October 16th) show at Escape in Veenendaal, NL due to vocalist Heidi Parviainen's crow throat.
