Terror Syndrome Reveals New Album Track Listing

TERROR SYNDROME drummer Ryan van Poederooyen (THE DEVIN TOWNSEND BAND) has issued the following update:

"The album has been officially completed. 100% done!!! We were thinking of giving the album a title name but we've decided to release it as a self titled release. Greg Reely (DEVIL DRIVER, SYL, MISERY SIGNALS, FEAR FACTORY) has finished Mastering the entire album. Greg did an amazing job in my opinion and we're all happy with the results. Devin Townsend's mixes kick 'uber' ass and Greg's mastering job sounds amazing. We're extremely happy with the end result of how the album sounds and we hope you all feel the same way when it's released! I'll be getting the mastered album in a few days, which means you all should be hearing some album quality Terror Syndrome MP3's on our My Space page later this week or early next week at the latest."

"The official track order for the record is : 'Stupidity For All', 'Thrill Pill', 'When God Was Sober', 'For Your Amusement', 'Riot Of Red' (featuring Christofer Malmstrom), 'Motionless', 'Revolving Horror', 'Rusty Trombone' (featuring Alex Skolnick and Trevor Dunn), 'My Next Victim', 'One Crime Closer to Hell', 'Disposable Empire' (featuring Byron Stroud), 'Spinning Backwards' (featuring Devin Townsend and Michael Manring)."

Terror Syndrome Post Mixing Update

THE DEVIN TOWNSEND BAND drummer Ryan Van Poederooyen has issued the following update on the status of the as-yet-unreleased debut album from his Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada-based band TERROR SYNDROME:

"So, here's an update on mixing... Just got a song back from Devin [Towsend, who is mixing the album]. He's been working on 'When God Was Sober' first.

"Holy fucking shit!!!! It sounds amazing!!!! Devin has done exactly what I wanted and then some!!! The sonic tones, the vibe, the aggression and the overall sound of the first song is incredible. His production ideas for mixing are brilliant. He's added a couple mixing ideas to 'Sober' that make the song even more impactful. What he's done with Denton's [Bramley] vocals is perfect, Dev has a very clean vocal sound and uses killer effects and the right ideas when called for. The guitars and bass rip your face off with killer presence, accuracy and aggression and the drums are very punchy, precise and big sounding. That's why we wanted to use Devin for mixing; he knows how a metal record should sound and knows how to get the sounds and ideas across to the listener. You all are in for one hell of an awesome sounding record, this I promise you!

"Devin was saying that we should have the album mixed and delivered by month's end, then on to mastering and then.... well, you'll see! I can't wait to show you TERROR SYNDROME in its finished state. Exciting times for sure!"

TERROR SYNDROME is:

Mike Young (THE DEVIN TOWNSEND BAND) - Bass
Dave Young (THE DEVIN TOWNSEND BAND) - Guitar
Denton Bramley (ex-GOD AWAKENS PETRIFIED, THE MISERABLES) - Vocals
Ryan Van Poederooyen (THE DEVIN TOWNSEND BAND) - Drums

Terror Syndrome Drummer Checks In

TERROR SYNDROME drummer Ryan van Poederooyen (THE DEVIN TOWNSEND BAND) has issued the following update:

"Hey Everyone,

Dave Young just laid down some fucking awesome new guitar tracks. We lost some when our 'Hard Drive Mishap' happened. I also decided to add a couple new parts to some songs as well. I had some new production ideas kicking around the past couple months and now that we had to do some touch ups, I decided to add a couple more things to some of the songs. It turned out awesome. Dave did an amazing job and he's really excited for you all to hear this record!

We're going to do a few more guitar things and then we'll finish off fixing the mishap with re-recording some vocal touch ups which again we have some new ideas to add. So all in all something good has come out of something bad!

Thanks for your continued support, you all rule our world and you all will be rewarded with one hell of an album in 2008!"

Ryan and TS

Terror Syndrome To Release Debut In March/April

THE DEVIN TOWNSEND BAND drummer Ryan Van Poederooyen has issued the following update on the status of the as-yet-unreleased debut album from his Vancouver, B.C.-based band TERROR SYNDROME:

"I've personally made a decision to get this album out to you all independently by March/April 2008, if we don't agree to terms with the different options we have going on right now. The industry is really tough right now and everyone wants to take a huge chunk of the pie due to low CD sales (in every genre of music) and the increase in downloading songs and albums. It makes it hard for a band to make a career out of music when things are so tight in the industry. More details will be released about how it'll be distributed and such if i end up going the independent route."

"The bottom line is that we have some amazing fans in all of you and you guys have been waiting too long for this sucker to be released. Trevor Dunn (MR. BUNGLE, FANTOMAS) even emailed me this morning asking what was up!! His contribution to the track he played on is fucking amazing and it along with the rest of the album needs to be heard!!!! So, I'm saying it's time to give you terror heads something to look forward to. I'm going to start work on the CD art and everything and get the final mixing and mastering done very soon. I'll release it independently by March/April 2008 as a worst-case scenario." More...
