"We are back home from the Doomsayer tour and it was fucking incredible! We had a blast and enjoyed every aspect about the tour!"
"In other news, we are entering the studio on March 12th to record our second full length album with Backyard Studios artist Jonny Fay (ex-THE RED CHORD guitarist). We are very excited to work with Jonny on this record which will be released around Sumertime on Metal Blade Records."

Darkest Hour Forced To Cancel Remaining Dates
DARKEST HOUR guitarist Mike Schleibaum has posted this bulletin on the band's MySpace page:
"DARKEST HOUR regrets that we have to cancel the last remaining days of our Doomsayer's North American Tour. However, all of the shows will go on as scheduled (with THE RED CHORD headlining New York City, NY, and Allentown, PA) except for Washington, DC, which has been outright canceled.
The tour has been an amazing time but, guitarist Kris Norris has been summoned home to attend to the early birth of his first little baby. It is with great joy that we wish Kris and his wife Christina luck with their new addition to the family.
Sometimes when you live out on the road life back home has to be put first. We couldn't have asked for a better tour package on this tour and our hearts go out to EMMURE, WHITE CHAPEL, and CEPHALIC CARNAGE. We only hope to be blessed with their mighty rock again sometime soon.
Utmost, we apologize to all the fans, friends, dudes and dudettes out there in (NY, DC, and PA). We will be back to make it up to you for sure! We will see ya this summer with a surprise that we can't wait to
announce."

Whitechapel Part Ways With Guitarist
Guitarist Brandon Cagle of Tennessee deathcore act WHITECHAPEL has posted the following update:
“Hey everyone this is Brandon. I’m posting this blog to answer any questions and clear up any rumors. I just got back from the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, the number one hospital in the country for Brachial Plexus injury. Which I have in my right arm from my motorcycle wreck on April 28th of this year. I’m going to need surgery to restore the function in my arm. At the moment I’m unable to move my arm at all, I can only shrug my shoulder. Even after the surgery I need, it will take a few years for all of the function to return to my arm. So I was not kicked out of the band, I’m just unable to play, so Zack is replacing me full time."
"Now that I’ve address that issue I have a small request of everyone. I don’t have health insurance so I’m having to pay for the surgery out of my pocket. I have to put a $10,000 down payment to get the surgery. The biggest problem is that I only have a 9 week window to get the surgery in. If I wait too long the surgery won’t help me, so I need it ASAP! My request is if you could spare a $1 to help me get my surgery that would be much much appreciated." More...

Diskreet and Whitechapel To Headline Label Tour
Diskreet and Whitechapel will kick off their upcoming tour together July 1 at The Muse in Nashville, Tennessee. Each will perform selections from their Siege of Amida/Candlelight debuts. The tour will also feature The Red Death and The Partisane Turbine.
Released in early April, Infernal Rise is the debut ep from Topeka-based Diskreet. Together since late 2003, the band have developed a huge following in their native Kansas. Ripping up the stage with a hugely diverse range of ground breaking acts, the band refuse to be pigeonholed into any one genre. So far Dikreet have shared the stage with Deicide, The Acacia Strain, Napalm Death, Despised Icon, Through The Eyes Of The Dead, From A Second Story Window, Origin, Into The Moat, Psyopus, Ed Gein, All Else Failed, Pissing Razors, Anal Blast, Cannae, Incantation and many more. Blabbermouth says, "meet the new kids on the American death metal block."
The Somatic Defilement is the full-length debut from Knoxville's Whitechapel. Hitting stores July 31, the album, mastered by Alan Douches (Nile, The Red Chord, The Acacia Strain), fuses together the sheer brutality of death metal, the chaos and technicality of grindcore, the bludgeoning heaviness of sludge, with an added dash of groove on top. A noted characteristic is Whitechapel’s three guitar assault; without a doubt and impressive apocalyptic sound. A video for the song album track “Vicer Exerciser” is available at the band's MySpace page.
