The organizers of the Bloodstock festival have checked in with the following announcement about confirming more bands for this year's edition:
"Here at Bloodstock HQ we are excited to announce a whole batch of new additions for all three stages. There’s only seven weeks left to the most metal weekend of the year!! Have you got your tickets yet?!
"Opening Friday’s main stage, and fresh off the back of the release of ‘IV’, their first album in ten years, are British post metallers, Earthzone 9. The band are stoked to find their way to Catton Park’s hallowed ground, commenting 'Earthtone 9 have never played Bloodstock, so we could not be more excited! An expanded band lineup and festival experience has been announced for the third annual Monster Energy’s Welcome To Rockville - April 27th and 28th 2013 - at Jacksonville’s scenic Metropolitan Park along the beautiful St. Johns River.

Whitechapel's debut full-length album, "The Somatic Defilement," is the album that firmly planted the band on an upward trajectory, and the band has now taken "The Somatic Defilement" and placed it in the capable hands of Audiohammer Studios producer Mark Lewis for a complete re-mix and re-master.
Fans can listen and pre-order now at this location, and the album will be released the 12th/15th of April. "The Somatic Defilement," originally released in 2007, is a concept album about Jack the Ripper's infamous murders of prostitutes in East London's Whitechapel district. "The Somatic Defilement" by Whitechapel, originally released in 2007, is a concept album about Jack the Ripper's infamous murders of prostitutes in East London's Whitechapel district. The upcoming 2013 re-release, re-done with producer Mark Lewis, will be released on April 16th, 2013.

The organisers of Britain's, Bloodstock Open Air festival have announced a further ten bands for this year's edition of the event, including Bay Area thrash metal legends Exodus and Death Angel, as well as 3 Inches Of Blood, Scar Symmetry, Dying Fetus, Xerath, Bloodbound, Vanderbuyst, Scarab and The Prophecy. The event will take place at Catton Park from August 8 - 11th and will be headlined by Slayer, King Diamond and Lamb of God.

Unearth will begin 2013 in a big way on tour alongside Whitechapel and Emmure. The "Brothers of Brutality Tour" will begin on January 8th in Knoxville, TN and wraps up February 11th in New York, NY. Unfortunately, Unearth bassist John "Slo" Maggard will not be joining the band on the tour.
Vocalist Trevor Phipps has posted the following update: "John 'Slo' Maggard will unfortunately be sitting out the Brothers of Brutality Tour (Whitechapel, Emmure, Obey the Brave, The Plot In You) this coming January/February. His absence is simply to take care of personal matters at home and is only temporary. Slo will remain a member of Unearth moving forward and is actively involved in the writing process for our next album, which we plan to record and release some time in 2013. Luckily, our long time friend Matt DeVries (Fear Factory, ex-Chimaira) will be taking over bass duties for the tour." More...
American thrash metal legends Slayer has been confirmed as the third and final headliner for next year's edition of the Bloodstock Open Air festival in Derbyshire, England. The event will take place at Catton Park from August 8 - 11th and will also be headlined by King Diamond and Lamb of God. A statement from Slayer guitarist Kerry King reads: "Can't wait to hit the stage at Bloodstock! Metal Festival in England? Fuck yes!! It's going to be hell on earth and I'm looking forward to having a party with all my British friends."
The organisers of the festival added: "We are thrilled to announce that seminal thrash metal legends, SLAYER are confirmed as the third and final headliner for Bloodstock 2013. The Californian four-piece will close the Ronnie James Dio stage on Sunday night at Catton Park, bringing their face-melting, monster riffs to the metal hordes."

Whitechapel has announced the band will be embarking on a North American co-headlining tour with Emmure, dubbed "The Brothers of Brutality Tour" and presented by Revolver Magazine and Rockstar Energy Drink. Support acts will be announced shortly.
Guitarist Alex Wade comments on the collaboration: "We are really excited to announce our co-headlining tour with Emmure. We have been friends with them for quite some time now, and this is something we have always talked about doing, so it's awesome to see it finally come to light. Our first show ever was with Emmure in Nashville, TN before either of us were signed, so it's incredible to see how we have both grown so much in the music industry and are able to come together and put together this co-headlining tour!"
Knoxville, TN sextet Whitechapel has launched a new music video for "Possibilities of an Impossible Existence" taken off the band's self-titled release. Head over to AltPress.com here to check out the new video, which was filmed by the Rockstar Media department with director Strati Hovartos while the band was out touring on 2012's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Fest.
Guitarist Alex Wade comments: "Collectively as a band we all really love this video. The guys with the Rockstar Media department really did an outstanding job on it. It was shot on Rockstar Mayhem Fest this year with a combination of GoPro and DSLR cameras. I feel it gives a more intimate vibe than just a regular performance video. The video is also in black and white, which reminds me of old Pantera videos, which rules."
In other news, Whitechapel will be re-releasing the band's full-length debut "The Somatic Defilement" via Metal Blade Records in the spring of 2013. Mark Lewis is set to re-mix and re-master "The Somatic Defilement," which was originally released July 31st, 2007 on Candlelight Records.

The clip, filmed as part of the Scion AV Project for the world's best and most vital metal bands (Scionav.com) was directed by David Brodsky (All That Remains/The Devin Townsend Project). The track appears on the band's latest album, simply entitled "Whitechapel," which is available now on Metal Blade Records.

Whitechapel has announced a full European tour for October and November of 2012. The Tennessee outfit will be supporting August Burns Red and The Devil Wears Prada.

Today Whitechapel has released the second single from the band's self-titled fourth album that is due out June 19th via Metal Blade Records. The song entitled "I, Dementia" is being exclusively premiered by Loudwire and can be heard here.
The album was engineered and mixed by Mark Lewis (Black Dahlia Murder, DevilDriver), who also handled production duties alongside the band. The album artwork was created by Aaron Marsh of Forefathers Group with art direction provided by Whitechapel. The track listing is as follows:
