On June 24th, Whitechapel will release sixth full-length, "Mark of the Blade," worldwide via Metal Blade Records. Check out a lyric video for the first single - the album's title track - below. You can also pre-order the album here.
"It's the most dynamic record we've done, in the sense that one song can be very aggressive while the next one will be softer and sentimental," guitarist Alex Wade asserts. "At this point in our career and as we grow older, we are taking a more open-minded approach to creating our music, allowing what we think sounds good to evolve naturally, rather than to just write what is expected of us."

After releasing live CD/DVD set "The Brotherhood of the Blade" this past October, Whitechapel is now launching a mini-documentary, entitled "Untold," which gives an inside look into the less talked about aspects of touring.
Shot and directed by Mathis Arnell / Naughty Mantis, "Untold" was filmed with the band and crew over the course of the summer of 2015 on the Rockstar Mayhem tour.
Having spent most of 2015 on tour with the likes of Slayer, King Diamond, and Suicide Silence, Whitechapel just entered the studio to record a sixth album and follow-up to 2014's "Our Endless War" (which debuted at #10 on the Billboard Top 200 chart).
Whitechapel's Alex Wade (guitar) comments: "Beginning this week, we have started tracking our sixth full-length studio album. It has been a long road over the last 10 years to get to this point and we are excited to show you the next progression of Whitechapel." More...

Deathcore was the chosen style of music for day two of Texas Independence Fest in Austin, Texas. Whitechapel headlined and Oceano and Boris The Blade were two of the bands providing support. All those bands played the main stage, the Garage Stage. Before getting into this this stage, I would like to look at some of the small stage, Control Room Stage. Metalcore seems to be alive and well in Temple, Texas, a town located an hour north of Austin. Insonomist out of Temple played yesterday’s show and In The Trench played today. Vocalist Steven Harding’s refrain was infectious and the band got the small crowd in motion. More...
Tennessee's Whitechapel has unveiled a new music video, today, but be warned: "Let Me Burn" isn't like other Whitechapel videos.
The band collaborated with director Mitch Massie, the director behind the latest and most visually striking videos from Cattle Decapitation, The Dillinger Escape Plan, and more. Mitch Massie brought the lyrics to "Let Me Burn" to life in gloriously gory fashion; this video is not for those with a weak constitution. Check it out below, courtesy of Bloody-Disgusting.com.
Whitechapel vocalist Phil Bozeman explains: "The basis of the video is about a man, his wife and daughter. The story depicts the degradation of the man and him going insane. He kills his wife and eventually douses himself in gasoline and begs his daughter to strike the match. But the whole point of the story is that the man has everything he wants and needs, but has no control over his mind and suffers with clinical insanity/schizophrenia and regrets everything he has done." Guitarist Alex Wade adds: "It's our first time trying a story based video versus a performance video with us playing and we're really happy with how it came out. Phil's idea for the concept of the video mixed with Mitch Massie's directing developed a very dark and sinister feel that represents the song well." More...

Whitechapel's new album "Our Endless War" draws nearer, with the official release coming April 29th via Metal Blade Records. Today you can see a lyric video for the title track below, thanks to Artist Direct.
Vocalist Phil Bozeman commented on what inspired him to write the song: "The focus behind the song 'Our Endless War' is not what a lot of people believe it to be. A lot of people will think it's just a stab at our government but it's more than that. The United States as a whole has been in this sort of downward spiral for quite some time now. It has to do with just us as a nation; our citizens, government, culture, etc.
"I truly feel like we are becoming those 'stupid Americans' that we are stereotyped as because of things like reality TV, gluttony, our healthcare system, school shootings and so many other things. I've been around the world and seen how different countries treat each other. It seems as though they are truly 'united' as one whereas it seems like we hate each other. I love my country and my freedom and I will always be a patriotic citizen of the United States but I'm scared of what the future holds for our generations to come. It seems as though we are fighting an endless war and we will never find that victory." More...
