The Binary Code will be joined by East Of The Wall (featuring The Binary Code’s live bassist, Brett Bamberger), Meek Is Murder (ex-The Red Chord), and NAME. ”Priest” is the follow-up to 2009’s “Suspension of Disbelief" album. The new EP "Priest" is set to be released on August 10th.
EAST OF THE WALL is planning their next cross-country tour for all of July. The New Jersey crew will be touring in support of their upcoming Translation Loss full-length "Ressentiment," to see release while the band is on the road. "Ressentiment" is a concept record in which the band focuses on a slightly different sound, integrating the use of vocals and an increased emphasis on sonic dissonance, and was engineered and co-produced by Will Putney at The Machine Shop (Clutch, King Crimson, Lamb Of God). The final release date and more details will be announced shortly.
On this upcoming tour, EAST OF THE WALL will be joined by Lifeforce Records artists Name for the duration of the month-long excursion, as well as Black Sheep Wall on the west coast leg of the tour. Several dates throughout the tour are still in the booking stage, so the band is reaching out to anybody that can offer a possible show on any of the dates still marked as TBA. California's Name have posted the new track "Empathic Communicator, Part II: Beebee (Conscious Incompetence)" from their Lifeforce Records America debut “Internet Killed The Audio Star.” The track can be heard at the band's MySpace page. “Internet Killed The Audio Star" is due out February 16th, 2010 in North America and April 19th in Europe.
The band issued the following statement about the song:
"Hey folks! Its been a long time since we've checked in. We have been hard at work putting all the pieces together for next years plans, being that the album will be out early 2010. Until then, we will shower you all with goodies.. or feces.. you decide. I vote goodies, but that’s just me. Call me old fashioned... ANYWAYS, this Tuesday, (Dec. 1st, 2009) we will be releasing a new song on our Myspace. It comes from off the new record and is entitled 'Empathic Communicator, Part II: Beebee (Conscious Incompetence)'. The song is the 2nd chapter to a 4 part song. Why are we throwing you right in the middle of it, you ask? Because we can, I would assume that was a pretty obvious answer... We have some shows coming up at the end of the month, so come check those out. We aren’t playing much till the New Year, but we are looking to get some regional dates in December, so keep checking back! So, enjoy the tunage this week, expect new video footage, as well as A LOT of new merch in the following couple weeks for shirts specifically designed after the aforementioned track. So, go enjoy yourselves. I hope everyone ate like kings on thanksgiving and don’t get dead. "

Lifeforce Records has announced the addition of California's NAME to their roster.
Founded in 2003 by brothers Wes and Jeremy Fareas, the New Approach to Martyrs Expressions [Name], is an amalgam of experimental tech metal, grindcore, ambient sounds, freeform jazz, blues, cultural world music, an odd sense of humor, and maniacal mood swings. "Music isn't supposed to be safe, it's meant to catapult you into a risky situation," says Wes. "We want to revive danger in art. We're trying to show that as much as possible."
With a few EPs, a full length album ("Portrait," 2004) and all new genre-bending material for their Lifeforce 2009 debut, "Internet Killed The Audio Star," which is set for a late summer release, Name has set out to remold all the stagnant preconceptions of heavy music.
You can check out songs from their Lifeforce debut "'Internet Killed The Audio Star'" at the band's Myspace page.
California metal band Name has announced the addition of guitarist Mike Giannelli and drummer Jeff Faria to their line-up. Giannelli and Faria effectively replace Derek Vasconi and Evan Breese, who left the band earlier this year. Name comments:
"With this line-up we are confident in the fact we will do great things, as to the fact we have a lot of plans in store which will require a different announcement all together."
California metal band Name was involved in a serious van accident this weekend. Here's an account of incident from the band:
"We were heading out on tour and our back left tire blew out and sent us rolling our van and all our equipment 7 times from the freeway down the hill. We lost our van and a lot of merch and equipment and were all hospitalized. We still look to tour and make some major announcements regarding members and tour plans in the band. But about the crash, we are left with nothing and we need to buy new equipment, a new van, and medical bills. We are going to set up a PayPal soon in hopes to get a bit of help with the van situation from fans."
