Multinational melodic metal act Eden's Curse is currently in the studio working on an as-yet-untitled fourth album, which is scheduled for worldwide release via AFM Records in late Summer 2013.
English drummer Pete Newdeck entered the studio in mid January and has now completed recordings on all fourteen tracks at Higher Studios in Tewkesbury. German virtuoso guitarist Thorsten Koehne began guitar recordings this weekend at COP Studio in Bielefeld, Germany.
Among the fourteen songs selected for recording are "Evil & Divine," "Break The Silence," "Unbreakable," "Great Unknown," and "Devil In Disguise."
Mixing duties will once be performed by the bands long time engineer, Pink Cream 69 and Unisonic bassist, Dennis Ward, whilst German graphic designer Thomas Ewerhard (Edguy, Avantasia, Jorn) completes the same winning team who worked on the bands previous album, 2011's "Trinity."
The fourth album will be the first to feature the band's new vocalist, who at this point has yet to be named. “The plan was never to rush this appointment,” states bassist Paul Logue, who further adds “Our aim is to find the best possible voice and personality for Eden's Curse. Getting to know these guys is a fun but slow process and we are extremely excited about the quality on show."

Eden's Curse has officially confirmed the departure of vocalist Marco Sandron. The band comments:
“It is with great regret that Eden’s Curse announce a parting of the ways with vocalist Marco Sandron. This is due to various reasons, but it was mutually agreed that it would be in the best interests of the band to sever all ties.
"We believe Marco to be a great vocalist and person, but it just did not work out, and we sincerely wish him the greatest of success with his future musical endeavours. While the creative core members continue with writing the fourth album, we have also commenced a worldwide search for a new vocalist." More...
Melodic metal band Eden's Curse announced that the group inked a new worldwide recording contract with AFM Records. Eden's Curse is currently wrapping up the writing for the new, yet untitled album, which will feature new vocalist Marco Sandron (Pathosray/Fairyland), and is targeting a tentative Spring 2013 release.
Bassist Paul Logue commented on the signing: “Signing a new deal with AFM was one of the easiest decisions we have made as band. AFM have been our long term partners since 2007 and have always done a great job for us. We recently sat down together and discussed our future plans and where we saw the band headed and they made it known that they are firmly behind us."
Logue went on to discuss the new material: "We are really into the home straight of the writing phase now. We are taking our time to make sure we have the song ideas that does the Eden’s Curse name proud and exactly what our fan base would expect from us. We are very excited by the new tunes."
Timo Hoffmann of AFM Records stated: “Working with Eden's Curse always was a delight. These guys are really dedicated to what they do and their ambitions, positive attitude and high standards always result in great quality. Since signing with us in 2007, the band has released three fantastic albums. No signs of slowing down – in fact it’s quite the contrary. But also beside the creative part, we found reliable partners in Eden's Curse. That’s why we are very happy that the previous deal with the band (which was for the European territory only) now has become enhanced to a worldwide deal. We are looking forward to a great fourth album next year, and many more to come hopefully…”

Sandron had the following comments on joining the band:
I'm very proud to be the new singer of Eden's Curse! This band is great. The guys are simply awesome and very talented musicians, there are no egos, just respect and true collaboration and we are working together simply to reach our one true aim – creating great music! I simply cannot wait to rock some stages and meet the wonderful Curse fan base that the guys tell me so much about, as well as completing songs for our new album. Yes, I'm very excited because the new songs we are producing are so powerful, melodic as hell and typically Eden’s Curse
Bassist Paul Logue had the following comments on Sandron:
We had discussions with many amazing vocalists over the last four months, but this was about more than just picking a singer – that was the easy part! We had a stringent set of criteria that the successful applicant would need to meet, and they absolutely had to be fully exclusive to the band, in order for us to retain a sound that is instantly recognisable as Eden’s Curse. That is why the search took several months to complete, in order to ensure that we made the right choice and I firmly believe we have the right man.More...

Multinational melodic metal band Eden's Curse has paid tribute to the memory of vocal legend Ronnie James Dio by recording a rendition of the Dio track "Rock ‘N’ Roll Children." The song is set to be included on all territorial releases of the band's third studio album “Trinity," due out in mid March.
Also, as previously hinted by the band last year, they would also be recording a cover version from one of the groups “biggest influences," which has also now been identified as the Dokken song "Unchain The Night," which is set to be included on the Japanese release of “Trinity” due out March 15th on Spiritual Beast.
Bassist and chief song smith Paul Logue explained "Unashamedly Dokken, along with Queensryche and Pink Cream 69 have been the three bands whom we built the basis of the Eden’s Curse sound around. We missed bands that created that kind of music, and we tried to get as close to that sound and vibe as possible."
When it came to providing a bonus track for the Japan release, Logue explained there was one unanimous choice. "Absolutely! It’s a song we jammed at rehearsals or sound checks and we always said 'we should record this' – I’m so glad we eventually did!"
One minute samples of both the Dio and Dokken renditions are now streaming at the band's Official MySpace."
Multinational melodic metal band Eden's Curse will return with its third studio CD, "Trinity," on March 18th via AFM Records. Eden's Curse has announced that leading the Curse Choir this time around is none other than Dream Theater vocalist James LaBrie. LaBrie lends his backing vocals to the entire album and also duets with Eden's Curse front man Michael Eden on the track "No Holy Man," which is also set to be released by AFM Records as a digital single on February 25th. A promotional video is currently in production as well.
Michael Eden states: "James recorded the 'Trinity' sessions at Iguana Studios in Ontario straight after he finished his solo release, 'Static Impulse', which was perfect timing as he headed off on tour with Iron Maiden immediately after. "
James LaBrie himself adds: "In 2010 I was fortunate to discover Eden's Curse. I absolutely love this band. Great players and people and they deserve nothing but huge success. They belong with the best of today's music. Trust me, you're going to love this from beginning to end."
Bass player and main songwriter Paul Logue explains: "James was highly professional, as you'd expect, extremely approachable and very enthusiastic about our music. We sealed the deal very quickly and we got him in top form as he was also in the middle of recording and we feel the end results are breathtaking."
Michael Eden further adds: "'Trinity' has been a long time in the making as we always strive to bring our current fan base and new fans our very best. I spoke with James LaBrie backstage on the Iron Maiden tour last summer and we had a great conversation. James has a way of making you see things in a different light than other people. It was an honor to have him along for the ride and we hope that it is not the last time we work together."
Eden then goes on to add, "We still have more cool surprises we will announce soon, this party is just getting started."
A 90-second clip of "No Holy Man" is available at the Eden's Curse official MySpace page.

Melodic metallers Eden’s Curse have released a digital single of their ballad “Man Against The World,” with 100% of the profits being donated towards charity. The profits will go to the two homeless charities shelter.org.uk in the U.K. and feedthechildren.org in the USA.
Songwriter Paul Logue commented, "We receive emails from our fans time and time again, but none moved me more than the one I received from Jared Hochstettler. He put together a montage on You Tube featuring some really powerful images of homeless men, women and children. It stopped me dead in my tracks and made me think about how fortunate I am. Right there and then I decided to do something about it and I’m delighted to gain the support of my band mates, record labels and Music By Mail in Germany, who assisted us with launching the track onto the worldwide portals, with a view to raising some money to help Shelter and Feed The Children. I urge everyone to simply watch the video and if you feel as moved as I did buy the download and do your bit to help ease the suffering of those less fortunate than ourselves.”
